Chapter 36: Chapter 35

Halo took in a deep breath, put on a mask and started mixing the ingredients for Nuse together.

Measuring this, that and mixing it together was disgusting, and then he had to put everything in the oven to dry out. 

Halo licked his lips, then ran the ingredients over, memorising them, then burnt the paper. He looked at the man at the door and asked, “Do you know where Rome is?”

He nodded his head and said, “We call him Ruthless here and I think you need to stick to protocol when working here too.”

“Ruthless?” Halo repeated.

The man nodded his head, “He may not seem it on the outside to you, but when he is here, he is the boss, second to Cardinal and he has no mercy when he kills.”

Halo sighed and mumbled to himself, “I guess I don’t really know him.”

Halo was shown to the room where Romeo was and when Halo walked in, Romeo was surprised. 

Looking at Romeo, Halo could see that he had been crying and felt so bad. Romeo was sitting on a chair in front of a furnace and it looked like he was going to burn or planning to.

Romeo quickly closed it and turned to Halo. “Ha, Halo, why are you here?”

Halo forced a smile as he answered, “I was bored, so I came over to see how you are doing, but it looks like I made you cry. I’m so sorry Romeo,” Halo said with trembling lips and hugged him.

He started crying, and it only made Romeo feel horrible, making him cry too.

Halo climbed on Romeo as he held him, and they sat there crying. It felt terrible the first time they broke up and now again, just thinking of being separated from each other brought up all the memories from a year ago that should have stayed down.

Halo wiped his tears away, sitting up on Romeo and said as he wiped his tears, “I’m so so so sorry Meo, you know I love you right?”

“I’m sorry too and I love you more, Halo,” Romeo said.

Looking into his eyes, Halo said, “I didn’t want to believe it at first but now that I think about it, I didn’t want to ask you about what happened when that detective told me about your father, but is it really true? You’re a rape baby?”

Romeo sighed and hugged Halo. Looking into his eyes he said, “Halo, you’re still young but talk about wanting my baby inside you. Do you really want that?”

Halo paused and thought about it. He loved Romeo so much that he wanted his kids and he would do anything to have been born a woman, but even changing his gender wouldn’t help him in this lifetime, not that he wanted to.

Halo nodded his head slowly and said, “I would do anything to give birth to a little Meo with green eyes.”

Romeo chuckled and said, “I am so glad you think so and you know that money in there, you can make that all come true.”

Halo chuckled, “Please don’t shatter my dreams and hopes.”

“I’m serious Halo, in the mob, we have doctors who are very skilled and can make it happen. They’ll implant a womb inside you and connect the fallopian tubes too. You don’t have a hole to push the baby out and will have to have a cesarean done.” Romeo explained to him and Halo climbed off.

He looked at Romeo, confused, and asked, “Why are you telling me all of this and there is no way that this is possible or else it would have been made public?”

Romeo lowered his head and said, “I was thinking of us. I don’t want you to leave me and if you had my baby, you and I would be trapped together.”

Halo chuckled and said, “Are you fucking kidding me? Answer me properly Romeo!”

Romeo’s head snapped up and said, “It is the fucking truth! It’s all experimental and only the rich gays know about it. You can successfully have my child, Halo, and now that I am telling you, you don’t want to believe me? What happened to having a little Meo?”

Halo took in a deep breath and said, “First you bring me here and now you are telling me I can actually have your child? So, how will it be possible? Where will we get the ovaries and how will the child grow?”

Romeo shook his head. He took Halo’s hands in his and kissed them. He looked back up at Halo and said, “They will give you something to help produce the ovaries. We’ll have sex and you’ll fall pregnant. Nine months later, you’ll be a daddy to a baby girl or baby boy and we’ll be together.”

Halo stared at him and asked, “Why are you telling me all of this?”

“I don’t want to lose you Halo, I can’t breathe without you and just now, I really thought we were over,” he explained.

Halo sighed and hugged him, “I said I was sorry okay, I want to be with you but these secrets need to stop and you don’t need to lie about us having kids to keep me, I’ll be with you as long as you are transparent.”

“I’m not lying Halo, we can go see the doctors tomorrow. I am sure once we speak to them, your operation will be scheduled within this month, but then you’ll have to drop out of school and study online. All of this will be horrible to your body and we can’t risk a miscarriage. I want everything to be perfect,” Romeo said, sounding more serious this time.

Halo puffed out his lips and said, “I need to go check on my drugs. I’ll be back or you can come and see me instead.”

Halo shook Romeo off of him and made his way back to the lab. He pulled the pan out of the oven, but it was not ready yet, and placed it back inside.

He sat down on the chair by the desk feeling drained and lied his head down on his arms, all he wanted to do was makeup with Romeo and hear him out about his father but he got an ear full of him possibly being able to have a child.

His head suddenly shot up, remembering the man watching him, and turned to him. The man too was put off by how Halo was acting and saw him look at him.

Standing up, Halo walked over and asked, “Is it possible for the mob doctors to get me pregnant?”

He frowned hearing Halo’s question but nodded his head, “Yeah if you want to I guess, but you’ll be going through so much shit that you will wish you were never born.”

“So it’s true?” Halo asked, and he nodded his head.

“You wouldn’t be the first or the last, just mentally prepare yourself for failure because from what I’ve seen in photos, bruises will form all over the body and you will have to change your lifestyle but if you want a baby, then go for it, only the baby dies not the parent,” he answered almost sounding heartless.

Halo nodded his head and asked, “How much will it cost me?”

“Five hundred thousand per session,” he answered.

Halo smiled and tapped his shoulder. “Thanks.”
