Today, Desmond, Nina, and I flew a kite in the garden. I stretched out my hand with the kite, and as soon as the wind began to pull the kite, I let go of the rail a little. The kite slithered through the air, and I carefully handed the spool to Desmond.

Tomorrow was a banquet for Princess Louise's birthday. We were all invited. As much as we didn't want to go there, we still had to attend. I took a deep breath. Aiden hadn't shown up in days, but he sent magical messages that he was fine and I didn't have to worry. I looked at the laughing Desmond and Nina and smiled.

"Good afternoon, Riya."

"Kain. Are you with Mikael or by yourself?"

"Myself. Mika deals with documents in the palace."

"Understandable. Have you climbed over the wall in the garden again?"

"Yes."

"How did you know that I would definitely be in the garden?" I smiled at him.

"I just felt it."

"Does this happen?"

"I think yes."

"Why are you always so serious when we're alone?"

"Please don't cry." He wiped my wet cheeks with his palms.

"Thank you for loving me and I'm sorry I can't return your feelings."

I gently touched Keane's cheek, wiped away his tears, and then hugged him and burst into tears even more. He awkwardly hugged me back. I caused him so much pain, but I didn't want it, and still, he said that he was glad to be friends with me. My heart was breaking from this. Why did it all happen? You wouldn't have suffered so much if it weren't for me.
