Two days have passed and with Caspian aid, the team have gotten deeper into the Rift. While heading towards the gate, Leo comes closer to their guide, Caspian, who clearly had the most experience. They’ve accepted, knowing this after spending their time with him. Caspian’s experience on top of his advanced tactics and skill, helped the group understand more about the Abnormalities they claimed to be the Rift. He shared strategies, and of each demon's weaknesses. He told them of the demon’s core, which was essential for them to live. Each demonic race has a different core, which required different means of destroying so. Cutting off their head would disconnect them from the core, making it vulnerable for them to burn or destroy.

Leo: hah... Another day huh?

Caspian: ....I never asked for your aid

Ive always done things alone

Leo: Still with the cold but sad attitude huh?

Caspian: what? I dont know what youre talking about

Montana: About time...

Montana said, irritated, having waited long for the two. Both men knew of Montana’s personality but they were still uncertain as to why she seemed so rushed when it came to clearing the rift. The three of them then met up with Sara and the rest of the unit later on. They entered the Gate of the rift, where they were greeted by the group inside, they who took camp there inside the Rift after having Caspian and the others clear the area. After spending their time with them, they continued going deeper. Killing stray demons along the way. The Deep were a different species, having evolved to the point where destroying the core was its only weakness. With its armored skin and immense strength, most of the unit still struggled. Being Montana, Leo, and Caspian as the only exception, having adapted to them thanks to their growth.

A few hours have passed when they've finally reached the End of The Deep. Which was the underground area where the demons took Yvonne, for what Caspian believed to be a sacrifice. Not for the demons, but for the rift itself. It was the first time Montana and the others heard of this, and because of that, they trouble believing so. Only a couple of hours were needed in order for them to clear it. With the strategy of having Sara and the others cover them as the three switch dealing blows from time to time, killing the demons one by one. Dain, who was given permission to enter, watches them with awe, since it was the first time for him to do so. As the battle ended, Montana deals the final blow. She breathes heavily as she takes her sword from one of The Deep's hollow body. She fell down on her knees, having her body finally giving in to the fatigue. Leo gets to her, helping her stand up, only to notice how damp her clothes were, drenched with the water of the End which was mixed by the blood of the Deep.

With the rift beginning the crumble, the group took their leave, knowing how vulnerable they were because of their tired bodies. When they reach the gate, the team that was once there had already left, only having a few of them behind. The ones left, who were packing up, saw them and lended a hand, seeing that the hounds were keeping up with them from behind.

Gatekeeper: Sir Leo! My god, what are you still doing here?!

Leo: We've cleared it for now... He-help the-

Gatekeeper: O-Of course

Your highness, let me give you a hand

Montana: Th-thank you

Gatekeeper: Sir uhmm... Caspian!

Can you move? The others can gi-

Cas: Yeahh... No need, help the Princess

The group then leaves safely, after setting the entrance on fire, leaving the hounds to be crushed. On the other side was Dain, who left earlier, with his subordinates who had prepared for their return. They then treated the main group, informing them of the storm that had fallen, asking them to wait. With their help, Montana and the others got to the camp safely, where they spent the rest of their time waiting for the storm to end. It was midnight when Dain woke up the others. Still tired and drowsy, they stood up and went to their carriages, heading back to the Palace. After they reached their destination, they said their goodbyes and went on their separate ways. Montana then went straight to bed, resting until late morning when she woke up, hearing the boys voice.

The Second: Mon! Montana—

Wake up you dumbass!

Montana: Ugh.... What a pain

The Second: Did you enjoy your beauty sleep? Good…

Because the day has come! HAHAHAHAHA My brother has-

Montana: Get out!

The Princess said furiously, pushing the boy away. A few minutes later, her consciousness woke her up, as she began to process what the boy meant. She quickly stood up as her maids entered, heading straight to her wardrobe, dressing up while asking one of the maids to call for an emergency meeting on behalf of her name. After dressing up with the help of her maids, she left heading straight to the meeting room where only a few people were present. Her father, King Roderick, was there. Curious of what he was about to hear. Montana then breathed slowly, regaining her composure before speaking.

Montana: Greetings everyone, I thank those who came and...

Im sure youre all confused as to why i called for this meeting...

King Roderick: You can skip the formalities Mon…

knowing that you called for an emergency is enough reason

Montana: Thank you Father…

Well then… Im uhh, here to inform you of my plans to leave the kingdom

Hearing this shocked everyone in the room, being Caspian as the only exception, having thought of this already but kept it to himself. The High Senate began to worry and rants about the dangers and of the effects of her absence. The King, who was also worried, gave Montana a look. She knew the meaning of the look he gave her. But even so, she stood her ground which was clear enough for him to understand.

King Roderick: Enough...

Let her speak

Montana: Thank you, As i was saying...

For reasons that i cannot say, i wish to leave the Kingdom.

High Senate: Your highness, with all due respect-

King Roderick: I! believe... I havent given you permission to speak

Do you dare interrupt the words of royalty?

High Senate: Y-your Highness…

Montana: It is alright Father… I shall now continue…

As for my safety, it will be ensured.

For I shall be accompanied with Princess Sophie of the Tyrene Clan, with her Knig-

Leo: Princess, I ask for your permission to speak

Montana: I-- already know, Leo… But i need you for something else

You see, the problem isnt my leave, but of what im leaving behind...

My duty and responsibilities… they must be kept. So ive decided to leave Prince Dain in charge with my political documents and... Sir Caspian, who will take the lead for the Rift

Hearing this surprised everyone, including Caspian because knowing how cruel she usually was towards him he did not expect for him to gain her trust so easily. Leo was surprised, but accepted knowing that Caspians capabilities far exceeded his. With a few arguments which were handled with enough explanation, the meeting went better than Montana had expected. With only King Roderick and her left, he makes a slight laugh before leaving, thinking that he already knows what she had in mind. Later that day, she was stopped after hearing someone calling out to her just when she was about to climb the carriage.

Dain: Ugh... Youre really leaving huh?

Well aint that fun... Political issues huh?

Montana: Hahahaha~

Dain: what a clever way to dump more paperwork on me...

Montana: Hehe- is that why you came? I really am Sorr-

Dain: But, do take care of yourself

Montana: ....Thanks, take care of Yve for me

Dain: Without question

Afterwards she climbed the carriage and leaved, which Yve saw as she came down the Palace stairs crying, after hearing the news a little too late. The two then watch as the Princess slowly faded away from their field of vision. After getting Yve back in the Palace, Dain started to finish his duties while Caspian and Leo headed straight to the Rift.

Back on her side, having spent the rest of the day traveling. Montana wakes up after hearing the coachman’s words claiming that they’ve finally had reached the next town. She gave him the sign to leave and continued to walk, asking the people she came across with for directions. After entering a bar, she then sits down at the table where she met the disguised Sophie and Gabriel in the flesh. Having not met for quite a while, they control each other’s urge to avoid attention. After spending their time at the bar, they left after taking her baggage as they started their long journey. His appearance surprised Montana at first, but later on irritated her while they were in their journey.

Montana: Okay... I know its pointless to say this, but even with a disguise...

You cant hide such attention when you’re with Gabriel

Sophie: Hahaha~ now that i think about it, you really are tall.

Gabriel: My apologies, i guess this vessel has started to grow as i use more power

The two then continued to chat as they travelled. Gabriel was against the idea of teleporting whenever he was with Sophie. But even so, he included it in his teachings claiming it was for her safety. A couple days have passed since then, when they’ve finally reached the mountain, where Gabriel suddenly went silent while they were talking. This confused the two causing them to look outside as they call out to him. They then realized after doing so, noticing the huge cliff in front of them. After a while, Gabriel asked them to leave the cart and began looking if someone else would see them. Still confused, the girls followed as he chanted a spell which made them levitate, crossing the cliff with ease. But just as the girls were about to enter the cart, Gabriel told them to leave the cart behind, saying that they would continue on foot, claiming that they were close. Later on, Montana looked back watching as Sophie breathes heavily after walking

Montana: You said we were close...

This... Isnt close

Gabriel: Ohh, sorry

Sophie: Are we actually close?

Montana: Cant you help Sophi-

Montana was cut off when Gabriel took them to the top of the mountain, where she saw a lot of debris. In the center of the fallen city was an old Pedestal; still whole, with an empty crystal-shaped container within it. On top of it, laid a stone bowl with a whole which lead to the rune. Gabriel, who read the writings on the rune realized what to do as he stood up grazing the pedestal, restoring it to its once exquisite form.

Gabriel: Brother, its your turn

The Second: Yepp, ill take it from here...

Montana: Ahhh!

Sophie: Wahhh! You scared me for a second there Mon.

The Second: Wait... Nevermind, Montana you go

Montana: Wh-wha? What am i supposed to do?

The Second: Ugh... See that tiny thing over there?

Cut yourself and keep filling it with blood

Montana: What? Why?

The Second: What do you mean why?! Just do it

Gabriel: Your blood, as a Chisaiki, is bonded with him. So you must take his place since he cannot do it yet.

With a bit of arguing, Montana finally gives in and cuts her hand with Sophies dagger, letting the blood drop which slowly filled the dropper. With the final drop filling the crystal, the group waited in suspense. When suddenly, Sophie’s eye began to glow as the Blade shook from Montana’s hands, she then lets go of it as her body began to burn. The clouds then began to separate, leaving the open space where the stars shined bright. Gabriel helped the others, rinsing their body from the effects of the curse. The stars that shined bright then came down, falling before them and stopped right in front of their eyes. They then watch as Gabriel began to link their minds, showing them of a vision that The First seemed to have left behind.

The vision had multiple meanings, changing quickly as they watch. One of which the stars gathered to project a certain continent, then projecting a place. The second where stars then began to separate which confused the girls, only to be corrected when Gabriel told them of the shadows the stars had left in the ground. A shadow of a person, who Sophie claimed to be of high importance. The stars then shot upwards, faster than they could see. A ray of light then came, similar to what appeared when The First appeared, and with it came a hollow body. It was similar to that of a doll without features or a face. Seeing that the space above them were starting to close.  Gabriel gave no hesitation and went closer, casting a spell as he called out to the others.

Gabriel: Prepare yourselves! The opportunity is near, and it will never come again

Sophie: Wha-what should we do

Gabriel: Montana! Come

Montana: Okayy... N-now what

Gabriel: When i say, you will push the blade in its cor-chest, whilst giving it power

The Second: You better do this right!

Montana: Deepen the blade, Give power.... Got i-

Gabriel: Now!

Montana does what she was told, pushing the blade deep as her body began to burn even hotter. As the blade went deeper, the hollow began to change. Seconds later, the blade no longer budged, but Gabriel told her to continue, saying that it wasn't over yet. She then used her power as she drove the blade deeper. Darkness then began to form from the cracks of the Ruins, gathering before entering the body. The Mountain itself began to shake, as it began to form cracks, where the once sealed darkness escaped heading straight to the body. While the darkness began to fill the hollows head, it pushed Montana away, Gabriel then catches her having expected that. With no one holding the sword, Gabriel worries as the dark aura that was once inside the body went berserk, launching the blade away before it disappeared. With the darkness now contained, the body changes and with it came his conscience. Darkness then formed and later on dissipated, creating an attire for the body. The group then comes close, with Gabriel in front. They then watch as the skies returned to its usual state. They look back at the body as he opens his eyes, which made the two think that they were successful. But after a while, a different aura was shown, an aura which Gabriel had noticed as he prepares himself for an event he did not wish for. The girls who noticed this, began to worry. The boy sat up from the ground, and began admiring his body. Feeling his hands before grinning as he looks at the other three.

The Second: HAHAHAHA~

Im back
