The room went silent as Athena laughs inside. She then watched as their mood suddenly switched. King Roderick knew of what happened. But as the King, he left the case aside, trusting that his children would take care of it. Later on, Athena noticed as the Princess began to lose her composure, seeing that Montana kept all but her eyes composed. Coming face to face with Montana’s cold gaze made Athena smile. But since she knew the importance of the role she played, she stayed in track and took her hand down to her chest, bowing respectfully to them
Athena: I believe you’ve misunderstood
Please… Let me explain
King Roderick: Very well… Continue
Athena: Correct me if im mistaken but…
Im certain you already know atleast a bit of Lichtenstein’s origin by now…
King Roderick: Go on…
Athena: We’ve had our confrontations…
And like you, they’ve caused chaos in our homeland… And…Well, I believe I don’t need to explain of the outcome
Dain still was adapting to the situation, but he believed her. Seeing that Athena knew of them gave him a good enough point, for they made sure that the events with the Rogues stayed a secret, especially with the outside. To confirm his suspicions he decided to speak up while checking the Tablet, to see if Athena would lie.
Dain: Well then… To be certain, would you care to share the info you have with them?
Athena: Of course, their origin is unknow-
Montana: Before that… What makes you think we’ll believe this story of yours?
Athena: Hmm? I see…
Other than what we’ve given you, I have nothing else but my words
Athena firmly holds her ground. Dain, who noticed his sister’s behavior, sighs and lets go of his tablet, calling out to the Princess which finally broke their eye contact.
Dain: Please… Forgive my sister, The Rogues were just, like you probably already know… Difficult, to deal with
Athena: At first, we had them under our radar. But one day, they disappeared
And now, a few years later, we heard of a certain Kingdom… Where a certain group… of unknown origin came-
Montana: Bad news do indeed travel fast… Don’t they?
Athena: You’re mistaken Princess… The kingdom that im referring to…
Isn’t Chisaiki, but the Kingdom of Tyrene
Montana was surprised to hear how accurate she was, but there was something still bothering her. Something she was still uncertain with. So she asked Athena, why they came to them first. Athena disagreed, claiming that when it comes to the outside world, Chisaiki was indeed their first. But she continued, saying that it was to keep their relationship with other countries a secret. Athena added the fact that they had a pact with the Tyrene Clan. After explaining, Athena requested if they too would cooperate, saying that she preferred if their actions were kept hidden. After seeing their pure intentions, Montana began to rethink. Hearing Athena spoil the secrets of their land just to gain their trust affected her decision. She was then interrupted in her thoughts when Athena called out to her, asking if she knew of the Academy which took the twins in.
Hearing this surprised her. Montana couldn’t prove, let alone find anything that connected them with the Rogues. The meeting then continued smoothly, going in Athena’s favor. Later on, Dain ordered the Royal Guards to summon the captured Rogues. The Royal Guard’s then entered the dungeon, calling out to the Rogues who didn’t know what was about to happen. They then returned to the Throne room, chained as they were forced to kneel down to the King.
King Roderick: The two members of the Rogue, just as we discussed
Athena: Thank you Your Grace
As per our deal, they will still remain in your Kingdom, until decided upon
King Roderick: Prince Dain…
Dain: Yes my King?
King Roderick: Provide Lady Athena with whatever it is she needs

Athena: Your Majesty… Forgive me for interrupting
But I ask if you could leave them with me… As it is a great opportunity to prove my worth afterall
Dain: Are you certai-
King Roderick: Very well
If you suddenly have a need in which we can help you with… Our doors are always open
With the meeting over, Athena’s group split, with Veronica taking the Rogue’s to the establishment they’ve made. With Athena supervising the treatment for the Queen’s sickness, Montana’s mind is finally at ease. But to her surprise, while heading there, they came across with The Second who was heading towards the opposite direction. Montana was concerned, praying that she wouldn’t notice. Athena, who was curious, stopped before turning around. Montana was surprised, knowing well of how accurate her observations were, she called out to Athena, only to find her silent. Athena then lets out a quick laugh, and turns her cape around. Having successfully stopped herself from acting, Athena apologized for the delay and continued.
After finishing the treatment, Athena leaves the Queen’s side, heading to the Princess. Athena then starts the conversation by informing her of the Queen’s current state. Montana then apologized on behalf of the King, for his absence as she explained the reason for his leave. After gaining Athena’s reply, she also apologizes for the way she acted earlier. Athena was surprised that she apologized, then claimed that it was unnecessary, and that she understood why she acted like so. Athena then breaks the short silence by asking something which surprised the Princess.
Athena: I must say Your Highness…
The idea that you’ve come up with, regarding the Rift… Truly is amazing
Montana: A-ahh… I apologize, I have no part in that
Athena: Ohh? So the Prince was the only one took part in that change?
Montana: HAHAHA~ Yes
Athena: Have you… Went there?
Montana: Hmm? A-ahh no…
I haven’t gotten the time to do so, I’ve only returned afterall
Athena: Of course… Would you like to come tonight?
Lichtenstein has been given the chance to take part in “The Center” I’d appreciate it if you could-
Montana: I’ll see what I can do
Athena then smiles, thanking her before calling the others before leaving. But just after Sally left, Athena stops before closing the door. She knew of Montana’s habit, that she’d stay in the Queen’s side whenever she had the opportunity to do so. A few moments later, The Princess noticed her and was confused of why she stayed, so she asked if there was something else Athena needed. Athena replied with a delay, asking if she could bring in the boy she saw earlier. Having said that, the two said their goodbyes. Athena leaves the room, giving Montana and the Queen the privacy they desired.
It was already dusk when Montana finally finished her work. While heading towards her room, she suddenly remembered of Athena’s invitation. So she hurriedly went to her room, asking if The Second wanted to come with her. But to her surprise, he refused claiming he’d still watch out for her. After dressing herself properly, she leaves the room forgetting to say her goodbyes. The boy was confused to why she was in such a hurry. The sun had begun to set when she reached the Rift. She then breathes deeply as she entered, only to be blinded by the lights of the marketplace.
Montana then turns from side to side, in shock of the sight bestowed upon her. Montana then faced the direction where she heard someone call out her name. Sally, who was waiting for her, finally saw and called out to her as she tried to get through the crowd. When the two met, Sally started a conversation asking why she was late. Knowing that there wasn’t enough time, she grabs Montana’s hand, dragging her as they headed towards the Center. Montana was still bewildered by the change, which distracted her from what Sally was saying. After reaching the Center, she sees the huge Pole in the middle, where the two large chunks of stone laid. In the center of the Pole laid a stage, and on it was Athena in her traditional clothing. Sally then called out to her, only to realize that she couldn’t hear her over the crowd as they clapped and cheered for her as she danced.
Her dance was extremely elegant, with the cloth moving along with her movements as if it was in her control. Montana was surprised by this, for she didn’t expect Athena to be able to dance in such a way. With a simple nudge from Sally and the silence of the crowd, Montana came back to her senses. As the music began to reach its climax, all of them were engrossed by Athena as she danced even more so exquisitely. Athena then reached the end of her dance with a pose she executed beautifully. The Darklanders then began to shout, which caused the crowd to come back to their senses, in which they too began to applause Athena. Having finished her performance, she leaves the stage and looked up, noticing something familiar in a distance. She then chuckled as she raised her hand and waved towards that figure. Athena then stopped when she heard Sally’s voice. Montana was then greeted by her with a smile.
Montana: Th-that was… uhhmm…
Sally: Perfect, right?
Montana: I-uhh, never knew you could dance
Athena: Haha~you flatter me, Your Highness
Montana: N-no… really! That was amaz-
Little did the others know, that in the distance was a young man, hidden in the shadows watching as the two conversed. Upon leaving the Rift, Athena notices the way the other two chatted. Knowing that they were still caught within the moment, she went first, drying her face with a towel as the two followed behind her. The day ends as Montana and Sally continued to talk as they headed back to Athena’s camp, totally unaware of what was about to happen.
