As he woke up, the boy shifted abruptly, grunting. This drew Gabriel's attention, as he was also the one who had carried him. But it was the change in one of his bright yellow eyes, which had gone blue that caught him off guard. Ren, who had his back turned, didn't notice this and therefore was only a split second late as the boy lashed out on Gabriel. Still surprised by the fact that he couldn’t sense this, he knew what it meant. He called out to Gabriel, who answered after creating distance with the boy, whose body was shaking, having reached his limit.

Ren: (Fortunately, he managed to dodge just in time…But to think that even ‘His’ eyes couldn’t see-)

Luciel! Do you hear me brother?!

Gabriel: (Ren, be careful… I couldn’t)

Ren: (I know, can you move Gabriel?)

Gabriel: (…I can)

Luciel: Ha…

When the boy didn't respond, they braced themselves for the worst-case scenario. An outrageous rampage. Because the boy had already "fallen," Gabriel’s visions were rendered useless if he used it on him. He proceeded with caution, knowing this. But, to his surprise, Ren moved, closing the gap between them in an instant. He pushed the boy away with the flat side of his blade.

Ren: (Focus brother, look only at me)

Gabriel was surprised, for he hadn't expected him to say such things. Gabriel, who understood what he meant, listened to Ren's proposition and focused his vision solely on Ren's future. With their trust in one another, Ren moved forward with the purpose of subduing the disaster that was his own brother. Gabriel observed each and every strike Ren made. But, as there was no future to be concerned about, he shouted and offered his assistance. Ren knew well the state Luciel was in and that of Gabriel’s injuries, so he declined the thought.

Nevertheless, Gabriel tried and looked for a way to help. After he had recovered, he looked for an opening. But to his surprise, Ren pushed Luciel and went further away just as he was about to enter. Knowing how unstable Luciel was, he didn't want to take the risk. Upon landing numerous blows on him, he was surprised to see him still standing. The demons who continued to rush them did nothing but annoy him by blocking his way. Gabriel yelled at him to take the situation seriously.

Ren: Fine…

He answered while driving his broadsword down to the floor. While giving his wrist a gentle massage, he waited for the demons to approach. Having waited long enough, he raised his hand and with a single snap, he eradicated everything. Now that Luciel was disoriented by the might of his power, he didn't hesitate and grabbed his neck, driving him to the ground. Seeing the way he held the boy down with his leg, Gabriel couldn’t help but feel troubled.

Gabriel: C-couldn’t you—do it more gently?

Ren looked up at him and glared, reminding him that it was his idea to take things seriously. ‘Still," Gabriel thought. As he held the boy in place, they were surprised as a familiar glow appeared on Luciel’s wrist. Knowing well of what it was, Ren held it, in an attempt to cancel his own spell, but it as too late.

Gabriel: That was—

Ren: Hahaha—That stupid girl…

On the other side was Montana, with the ring that Ren gave her as per the contract to call Luciel. She was completely oblivious of what happened and assumed that he was simply somewhere far away, avoiding her and the crowd. Since the spell worked, she called out to him. But, to her surprise, he didn’t answer. So she knelt and stroked his hair, to see whether or not he was asleep. However, she was surprised to see that after holding his head, her hand got covered in blood.

Montana: W-what happened to you?!

…Luciel?

The boy rose up unsteadily, revealing the cuts in his arms. She was surprised to see him in such a state. But she couldn’t help but notice the change in his aura; as if he were entranced. Montana calls out to him, asking the same question again. It was also at this point that she saw his blue eye. Her hand moved on her own, heading for the sword in her belt. Despite the fact that her body was moving on its own, she didn't question it, knowing that it only made sense for her to be so cautious.

As she took the blade from its sheath, Luciel vanished and reappeared from behind her, driving her down. She struggled in an attempt to push him away, but to no avail. Luciel, who hungered for life, slowly opened his mouth and moved closer to the girl. Montana was terrified by this, who then closed her eyes. Her voice became weaker as tears welled up in her eyes. She couldn't breathe and her strength draining from her body. When suddenly, Luciel stopped and loosens his grip.

He woke up, and slowly, he came to realize whose neck he was gripping so tightly. He raised his head and looked at Montana, whose eyes were still swollen, covered in tears. As he jumped backwards, his hand began to shake along with his voice as he began to contemplate what he had done. Montana, who was now free, held her throat, coughing.

Luciel: I-I… I’m…

(She’s—)

After finally knocking down the door, Leo ran in. Upon seeing the Princess in such a state, he unsheathes his blade and points it at the kid. Luciel kept apologizing as he began to lose himself as a result of the voices that had returned. Leo convinced himself to act, seeing that the boy seemed to have gone insane. However to his surprise, Montana grabs his shirt, preventing him from approaching the boy.

Meanwhile, Luciel’s senses were dulled. His vision had become so blurred that he could no longer recognize anyone’s faces anymore, let alone his surroundings. The voices kept provoking him, knowing full well of his current state and hunger. But Luciel, who still had some influence over his consciousness, made every effort to control himself. He kept banging his head behind him, completely clueless of where he was, in an attempt to hush the voices.  Montana, who saw what was about to happen, shouted out to him, but Leo stopped her. With the third strike, the window broke, and the boy, who had leaned too far, lost his balance and fell.

As he fell, the boy couldn’t help but feel at ease. The voices that once roared fell silent as the wind blew at him from below. He watched as the heavens, the stars, and the moon brought light into the night. Just before he shut his eyes, he felt a person’s embrace. He opened his eyes slightly and saw a golden aura wrapped around him. Although it was vague, her flawless pale skin, the way her hair flowed through the breeze, her beauty was too vivid for him to forget. He then closed his eyes as he whispered.

Luciel: Pretty…

Athena, who was the one who caught him, was surprised to hear his words. She giggled, before telling him to rest. Lugh, who positioned himself, braced himself to catch the maiden as they got closer to the ground. Upon landing, Lugh caught her by the waist and helped her land safely. He called out to her and soon came to notice the boy in her arms.Lugh: W-Who is he?

Athena: hehehe~ cute, isn’t he?

Lugh: (cute?)

Someone who piques your interest?

Lugh sighed as Athena nodded, knowing full well of her interests. As the guards came rushing from the mansion, Lugh noticed and prepared to leave. He turned around, only to see Athena sitting on the grass, caressing the boy’s cheek. He informed her of what was to come, but she remained there, silent. Then, just as he was about to go, Athena calls out to him.

Lugh: hmm?

Athena: Carry him for me

Lugh: (Huh? What is she—) this isn’t the right time Athena…

They’re coming

She refused to listen. Instead, she picked up the boy and handed him over to Lugh. He couldn't do anything about it since her gaze was fixed on him while she was doing so. Before he could say anything, she cut him off by fixing his hair, informing him that she wanted to maintain her current image. She then went on to add that it would have made sense if Lugh was the one who caught the boy. Lugh, who finally got the point, fixed the boy’s position, making it comfortable for him to carry. But then, with a concerned look on her face, Athena drew near to him, holding his arm.

Leo came shortly after and saw Lugh with the boy in his arms. With Athena’s flawless act, they were not suspected of any ulterior motive, and in the end, Lugh eventually turns over the boy to Leo. It then ends with Athena climbed the stairs, pondering as she looked at the boy in Leo’s arms.

Athena: (What would’ve happened? If I hadn’t caught you…)
