Back into the other side, The Second had finally returned. Upon awakening, he did the usual and hid his presence. Afterwards, he hurriedly went back to the Queen’s side. When he reached the Queen Elizabeth’s room, he was surprised to see the ‘Summoned’ on the door gone. Concerned on what might’ve happened, he bursts through the door, only to see that it was nothing. A few of his summons had been moving like butlers, bringing food to the Queen and the King who had just came a few minutes ago. Later on, the boy realizes that they still haven’t noticed his presence, but decided to keep it that way, seeing how precious that moment was.

With Sophie’s vision, Leo and Athena’s group finally got Viktor’s whereabouts. According to the vision, Viktor’s group had separated into two groups, with his ‘Hands’ acting leading them. Viktor was said to be located at a Winery, with his right ‘hand’ named Michael. However, his other hand, Howard, was tasked to leave first after finding out the hidden exit. Leo and his men had already begun preparing. They agreed to meet up first, in hopes to fill in the loopholes within their plans. Athena, who thought she was the earliest to come, was surprised upon seeing someone who had been waiting. Upon entering the room, Montana felt her presence and turned around, greeting her. Together, they waited for the other groups to come.

Just in time, the group had arrived and without a moment to waste, they start their meeting. To their surprise, an uninvited guest came and introduced himself. Leo was surprised to see him, and knew why he was there. He also decided to break the silence, by asking his Father to come with him.

Oeberon: So… What did you want to tell me?

Leonhardt: (Was it His Majesty who asked you to come?) Why’re you here Father?

Hadn’t His Majesty task you with The Queens-

Oeberon: It is in His orders that I am here now

Leo: (I knew it) Father… I ask of you to stay

Oeberon: And why is that?

Leo: This… This mission is mine to take

Oeberon: I am here NOT to take the mission, but for Her Highness’—

Oeberon was stopped, having seen the eyes of his son, eyes of which he never saw or thought he could make. Their family was known for their drive and hunger, even having events just to devour one another.

Leo then speaks again, only this time with a tone that surprised the Kingdom’s best fighter.

Leonhardt: The Princess is at her safest with me

Oeberon: (Hahh-) Very well… I will observe… But

If there comes a moment where The Princess’ safety is in jeopardy, I will have no choice but to step in

Leo then turned around, thinking that that alone was enough. Without turning back to him, he spoke once more, before returning to the meeting room.

Leo:  Just stay n’ watch Oldman

Having done what they needed, the group started. Upon reaching the town, Athena commanded her group to stop, causing Leo’s and Montana to do the same. Veronica then came to them, claiming that Athena has summoned them. The three then met up in Athena’s carriage. At first, Montana was distracted by the way she sat while sharpening her blades. Athena then called out to them, her words surprised the two, causing their short trance to break.

Athena: There’s been a change of plans, you see…

We’ve received info from my scouts who claimed to have seen a member of the Rogue

Montana: T-The Rogues? Are here?

Athena: Since we already know how dangerous they can be,

I suggest taking only a few trustworthy men with us… To reduce possible casualties

Leo: How unusual, it’s twice now that they’ve managed to avoid Princess Sophie’s gaze

Athena: (Well… Such an omnipotent power would have its downsides right?)

But like she said, everything is still going to plan

Montana: So… Whats the plan?

Athena: I plan on having us enter first and for us to have different points and objectives…

I will lead my group to take on the Rogues, we have to avoid letting them meet… It’d be troublesome if they did

You’ll be tasked with Howard and proceed with Sophie’s guidance

Leo was surprised to see how fast she was to act, knowing that they’ve only received such news just recently. Montana was hesitant at first, saying that she worried for Athena. Athena knew of her other reasons, which is why she declined with her idea, stating how capable they were in taking them down. After a few arguments, Montana finally gave in when Athena agreed in letting her follow up once she’s done with the Howard and his men. With that said, the meeting was over. Upon reaching their headquarters, Athena excused herself and left first, claiming that she would inform her men of their new plan.

With the plan proceeding as planned, Leo and Montana prepared themselves and came out once they’ve done so. Leo was slightly anxious at first, not because of Viktor or the Rogues, but because of the Princess’ safety. Unlike usual, Montana came last but still on time. While Athena was discussing the plan, Leo looked at Montana, only to be surprised how serious she was. Seeing the concentration in her eyes gave him more reason to focus on the task in hand. The group then proceeded, having finished the meeting.  Montana left first, bringing the sword back in its case and tightens her armbands.

While on the way, Leo went closer to Montana. He was silent at first, seeing that she had a similar mood to that of the past. Montana finally spoke, answering back when Athena said her goodbye, saying that the Rogues were close by. With the building on site, Leo decided to speak, in hopes of confirming his thoughts.

Leo: You’re gonna go right after aren’t you?

Montana: Why ask if you already know

Leo: What about Yvonne?

Montana: She’s not here, I just know-

Leo: (Hahahaha) I see

Montana: Get ready, we’re here

The group then splits into two, hiding in the alley. Leo then peaked to see how they would proceed. Just as planned, Veronica and her group came, silently taking out the men who were disguised. After taking out those who patrolled, Veronica looked at one of her men, who gave her a sign that they succeeded in hacking the buildings cameras. With everything on its place, she used her flashlight, aiming it at Leo to inform him that they’ve finished. Montana then unsheathes the blade and commanded her men to rush the building. When they entered, they were surprised to see that it was abandoned, with only a few men left behind. Montana then throws the blade downward in anger, driving it to the floor.

On the other side was Leo and his men, who were tasked to take back the stolen goods. Being left with the same situation, Leo was starting to lose hope. He was then relieved when the Lance then came, and claimed to have seen a hidden compartment which lead to a tunnel. Thanks to Sophie, Leo understood the situation. Knowing that they were taking a different route, Leo and his men moved fast and tasked his scout go, to inform Montana, who decided to follow up using a different route.

Upon reaching the port, she left her men and rushed in to help Leo who was struggling, fighting five other men. Montana took out the other two, telling Leo to hurry up. Leo was surprised, but felt even more so annoyed, which motivated him to finish faster. Montana on the other hand ran towards the ship and was surprised upon seeing something unexpected. The Guardian of the Rogue was there, holding back Leo’s men as they tried to enter the Captain’s quarters. Suddenly, Montana found herself drowning in anger, with the sword reacting to her strong emotion. Without hesitation, she held her sword tightly using it to give her a burst of power. She then shouted calling out as she rushed the giant, who barely managed to dodge her attack.

With The Guardian dodging the first blow, the others decided to fall back, knowing well of how dangerous Montana was. After exchanging blows, The Guardian was surprised to see how much she had grown, even parrying with his strikes with ease. Every strike was blocked and was followed up by a counter. While in his thoughts, Montana decided to take the opportunity and struck just as a distraction for him to open up his legs, which she forcefully kicked, making him lose his balance. But to Montana’s surprise, The Guardian managed to regain himself, using the force he had falling down to spin backwards. With the distance between them, he then stopped for a second, and drove his Long-sword through the Ship’s floor. Quickly as he could, the giant took the bandages in his arm, using it to cover the wound Montana had inflicted. But while doing so, he was confused as to why Montana was just standing there. After he finished tending his wounds, he winded his arm and stopped upon seeing Montana’s glare.

Montana: You done?

The Guardian was surprised, but even more so irritated by her words. He then realized that she was mocking him, giving him the time to tend his wounds. He then took the sword and pointed it towards her, while speaking, thinking it would annoy her.

The Guardian: It’s been a while

You’ve gotten bette-

Montana: Don’t misunderstand …

I have no plans to continue speaking to the dead

The Guardian: Hah! Very well…

Montana: Come!

The Guardian then rushed her, but suddenly changed directions aiming his sword at the Lance. While looking at Montana to the sides, he was surprised to see her instantly vanish, with only the air left moving. Instantly, she appeared right in front of him, blocking his sword. He then stopped himself from thinking of what happened, for it would waste his potential. The Guardian then held his sword with both hands, showing Montana his signature move. But to his surprise, she wasn’t trying to avoid it, instead she looked up to him with nothing but bloodlust in her eyes. He then drove his sword as hard as he could, only to struggle against Montana’s defense. The more power he gave, Montana answered with her emotions.

In his thoughts, The Guardian claims how monstrous she was. Having felt Montana’s boiling emotions, he decided to retreat and lets go of his other hand, punching her away, causing her to fly backwards due to the force. The Guardian then jumped away, causing the Ship to rock from side to side. But when he turned his head back to observe what happened, his gaze was taken by Montana’s cold eyes, who aimed towards him with a bow. He then realized that after receiving his punch, Montana still moved. She then cuts her wrist, using her blood to enhance the bow with her power. With the Giant in the air, she knew he wouldn’t be able to dodge. Having reached the bow’s limit, she shot the arrow and with an insane amount of speed it hits The Guardian in the shoulder.

With the fight finally over, Montana struggled to stand up, having used The Second’s state in a long time. Leo who was still on the other side saw that the Ship was starting to sink. He then realized it was probably due to it receiving both Montana’s and The Guardians signature move. It then breaks in half, causing those in it, including Montana, to fall in the water. She was unable to swim back because of her tired body, but even so she still felt at ease, claiming how nice it was to feel the ocean water, which cooled the flame within her. To her surprise, she sees someone dive in the water, and later on figures out it was Leo. After taking her back into the surface, the two laid down on the sand. Montana then was confused after hearing Leonhardt laugh. The two then looked at each other as Leo spoke up.

Leonhardt: Hahahaha!

Montana: W-what is it? Have you gone mad?

Leo: The water… Its so cold

After a short moment of silence, the two suddenly bursts out of laughter. After a while, Leo stopped laughing, having noticed Montana who went silent as she tried to hold back her tears. Leonhardt then sat up taking The Princess’ attention. She felt the mood suddenly change and apologized, only for Leo to cut her off.

Leonhardt: He escaped huh?

Montana: …..

Leo: Don’t cover your eyes Princess, face this moment

Why’re you crying? You won against one of them

Montana: S-still! I could’ve-

Leo: This… Is our victory… But it isn’t over

Montana felt disappointed with herself, feeling that she let The Guardian escape. But after hearing Leo’s words, she couldn’t help but feel lightened up. She couldn’t figure out whether it was because of the ocean. But she was cut off in her thoughts when the Lance came and asked if they were okay. In result of their battle, they managed to stop Howard and his men before they put the goods in the ship. With the group captured, Montana and Leo had finished their duty. Although, after a few minutes, Montana’s new equipment arrived. But to her surprise, another crate came and a moment after Leo came. After gearing up, Montana goes back to the main room and sees Leo sitting whilst tightening his gloves. She thought of asking him to stay, with the goods and to guard Howard. But knew that Leo wouldn’t agree to it. Instead, she picked up her sword and attached it to her belt. Leo then speaks while facing her.

Leonhardt: You ready?

Montana: Mhmm

Leo: Lets get back that nuisance of a child
