In Luciel’s perspective, moments before he fell unconscious, one of the brightest stars descended from the sky. He claimed that it seemed oddly familiar. Upon realizing what it was, it was already too late. The princess was rambling, unaware of the sight the boy witnessed and the danger. Hoping that it didn’t see them, he grabbed her by the wrist and quickly headed back to her room, where he instructed her to cast the spell to bring them back. Her thoughts slowed them, but even so, Ciel controlled himself and took the initiative. While she studied the spell, he could sense the Keepers coming. Upon sensing them, he stood up without hesitation and prepared himself.
Luciel: Don’t stop!
Just focus on getting us back!
He then surrounded Montana with a barrier to ensure her safety. Seconds later, the wall that separated the room from the terrace was destroyed, shattered to pieces. On the other side of the wreckage stood an entity that faced Luciel, a keeper. They were powerful and dark, pure beings with the purpose of maintaining balance across the multiverse. Upon observing the boy's unique blood, and the unusual amount of souls that reside in him, it mistook the boy as one of its master’s targets. Suddenly, it rushed forward, heading towards Luciel. But to his surprise, it kept going even though he had already dodged. Upon realizing its true intention, Luciel hurried back and pushed the giant away. He then looked at the barrier and saw that it had already cracked even with just one hit. The Keeper then stood up, and with it came two others. Luciel scoffed, knowing he was at a disadvantage with his vessel being incomplete and the limiter Ren had given him.
Luciel had already killed one of the Keepers, but two others followed after sensing them fighting. It had only been a short time since the first Keeper had arrived, but Luciel could already feel the strain. While fighting, he suddenly felt pain, which gave the Keepers an opening. It was the first time the Keepers successfully landed a hit. Fortunately, a few moments later, Montana finally called out to him with the spell prepared. But in that short instance, one of the Keepers got another hit and broke his left arm. After getting a hold of his sword, he uses it and manages to get back up. Luciel then felt a familiar presence, and even though it was faint, he knew well who it was, which made him smile. He then turned back and ran towards Montana. When he reached her, Montana casts the spell that brought them back into the real world.
Back in the present, Montana held Luciel in her arms as he started to bleed out. He had already fallen unconscious. But just before hope is lost, someone surprisingly knocks at her door. With an idea that came to her mind, she called out and asked for help. Veronica then entered and asked the Princess what happened. It was the first time Veronica saw someone on the brink of death. With Veronica’s help, they got Ciel successfully to the lab, where Dain took the initiative to patch him up.
After getting back to Montana, to assure her of Ciel’s safety, he entered Luciel’s room and began treating him. A few minutes later, Luciel opened his eyes, which surprised Dain, who believed that he was supposed to stay unconscious. He then watched as his body began healing itself, with each cut or bruise slowly fading. Completely in disbelief, Dain didn’t know what to do. To his surprise, someone came up from behind him and grabbed his shirt.
Yve: W-will he be okay?
Dain: ….Yeah–I think he will
It surprised him when he saw Yve so concerned, since he knew the two always fought. But Dain had a thought that it was because they were similar in a way. Two completely unknown people who, thanks to the Royal Family, were able to live a normal life. At least, that's what Dain suspected she knew. Since Luciel’s body recovered by itself, he didn't see the need to stay.
Back on the lounge, someone watches from behind the shadows. Athena was in disbelief when she heard the news from Veronica. Her assumptions were never wrong, and that included something about Luciel, so she had to see for herself if it was true. She hadn't expected to see Montana in such a troubled state. Athena then reached out to her and at the same time, revealed herself.
Montana: A-Athena?
Athena: Greetings Your highness…I came as soon as I heard the news—
Is it true?
Montana: T-there was an intruder
And uhm… I was asleep, so I didn’t—
Athena: I see… (She’s breaking down… Or— Is she…lying?)
Athena then asked if she could help. Montana was aware of the reputation that Athena and her clan had, being one of the greatest in her country. So she decided to give it a shot as she took the lead. But surprisingly, they came to a halt when they came across Dain. Seeing that Athena was with her, he had already deduced their intentions. He pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes, telling them to stop.
Montana: (Huh?) Why?
I can assure you brother, Lady Athena can assist you
Athena: I— (Assist?) Of course… If you’ll have me
Dain: She doesn’t have too… Since he’s already stable
Montana stutters in disbelief, but with enough explanation she gained enough reason to believe him. Still though, the two continued. But before Athena could get further, Dain called out to her, saying that they should know where to find him if they ever had the need for something. When Montana reached Luciel’s room, she noticed that the bed was still hidden behind the curtains. She looked back at Athena before getting closer.
With Athena’s persistent request, Montana gave in and lets her go first. Athena then opened the curtains, only to see that Dains’ words were true. The boy still laid there but there were no signs of injuries. Although, to her surprise, a little while after she opened the curtains, Luciel woke up. His eyes clearly showed how tired he was.
Athena: (Interesting)
Montana: Well? How is–
Athena: He’s stable, just as his Highness claimed
Montana: I-I see…
The following day, Luciel had fully recovered and also returned to his duty. It was also the day when Athena was the one assigned to take care of the Queen. Luciel noticed that whenever it was her turn, she always had preferred to work alone. It confused him, thinking the treatment would go faster if someone helped her. When Athena was almost finished she spoke which to his surprise, was unexpected.
Athena: Luci—Luciel right?
Luciel: (she’s calling?) Y-yes my L-Your Grace?
Athena: Why were you the one assigned to stay with the Queen?
Luciel: That’s…. not something I can say
Athena: Ahh forgive me…
What happened last night? I heard you got badly hurt
Luciel: (what? Why do you even wanna know…)
Just like what the Princess said, there was an intru-
Athena: Im done
Luciel: ….Thank you for your—
Athena: (He’s uncomfortable when speaking formally, and despite knowing my title, he only did so once)
One more thing… I have received word from his Highness that he was coming

Luciel: The Prince of Lichtenstein… is coming?
With that said, he finally understood her true intention. Since he was close with the Princess, she wanted him to inform her of the news. Since there was no ill will, Ciel had no reason to decline. After leaving a group of summons behind, he left and began looking for Montana. He didn’t have a plan at first. But upon seeing Leo, he used it as an opportunity.
Back on the Vision Realm, where the Keepers laid, was Gabriel. He was also the one who stopped the Keepers from furthermore attacking his brother. It confused him at first, knowing that the Keepers were Ren’s creation. But after noticing their little but unique appearance, he assumed they were from a different master. This was proven when he felt a presence of someone familiar. He then sighed in relief when he heard a voice call out to him.
Voice: Well… Isn’t this a surprise
Gabriel: Greetings—Lady Solace
Rey: Why are you here? Aren’t you supposed to be in the Grand Archive?
Gabriel: haha~Ren asked for a favor
The two laughed and continued to chat. Gabriel then suddenly remembered the issue at hand. He asked Rey if she had total control over the Keepers, since it wasn’t long when Ren blessed her with his powers. Even if it was only by a fraction, Gabriel could feel the same power coursing through her veins. She answered, saying that she was still getting used to it. One of the Keepers then came, one that Ren himself had created to protect Rey. Knowing what it means, the two headed towards the End of the Vision Realm, and entered the Void.
As soon as they entered, they felt a dark aura, which surprised Rey. Gabriel took the initiative, saying they would be alright. They then reached the platform and went to Ren’s pedestal. Although to his surprise, the Great sword wouldn’t budge. Since it wouldn’t listen to him, he looked back at Rey who decided to give it a shot. But in the end, the sword didn’t listen to neither of them. Just before they thought of giving up, the sword began to move. It flew upwards and its tip faced towards them. With speed that’s faster than light, it flied towards them but they managed to dodge with ease. Little did they know that they were never the target. Behind them was Ren, who called for the sword and tilted his body sideways, catching it by the grip. They finally understood why it never listened.
Gabriel: So that’s why it wouldn’t let me summon you
Rey: S-since when were you there?
Ren: Long enough
His words cut deeply, with a glare that sent shivers to Rey’s body. Thinking that he wouldn’t be mad for a reason, she began to think of what she did. Gabriel noticed the change in him, and figured that he saw what happened with the Keepers. He stepped forward, telling Ren that she was still getting used to her power. Ren just stood there, staring deeply at Gabriel. He then turned around and drove his sword through the platform. The force trembled through the floor as Gabriel sighed deeply.
Ren: Is he okay?
Gabriel: You gave him enough power to recover, so he’ll be fine
Rey: ….I-I’m sorry—
Ren: We can talk later
Gabriel: F-for now, lets get to the matter at hand
After floating through the empty space, they finally reached the countless legs of stone. Like usual, the ones above were loud shouting angrily in the presence of the three. When Rey had enough, she turned back and spoke in ancient tongue.
Rey: Ohh SHUT UP!
The shouting stopped in a moment, only for it to get louder. Unfortunately for one of them, Ren wasn’t in a bright mood. He created a dark-colored shard, of unknown origin, and shot it up in the sky. The two then watched as blood flowed down on one of the towers of stone. Gabriel sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose with his other hand on his waist. Upon reaching their destination, Gabriel spoke.
Gabriel: Who was it?
Ren: (sigh) It’s hers
Gabriel: Hers? (Don’t tell me…)
Gabriel came closer, and noticed the same shackles Ren had created for a certain someone. It was broken which surprised him, knowing that their creations were supposedly unbreakable. Knowing who it was, he grabbed his mouth and began to think deeply. Rey, who was witnessing this, was confused to why they were acting that strange. She thought to herself “Her? Who is she? Why are they acting so weird? As if they were actually worried… What could possibly concern them—” She was cut off in her thoughts, as Gabriel turned his head, after finally thinking of an idea.
Gabriel: How long?
Ren: A few weeks… If not, a month ago
Gabriel: (Damn it...) Do they know? (Ciel, Alex, and—)
Ren: No
Gabriel: Why not? You can’t take this so lightly (you know wha—)
Ren: They cant be trusted
Gabriel: (sigh—How stupid) This isn’t something we have to discuss, go to Rakh, ill inform Alex
(If she manages to get a hold of Ciel again…)
Ren heard his thoughts and mistook it as Gabriel thinking that he was incompetent. He called him and said that if he needed to say something, that was the time. To his surprise though, Gabriel spoke without hesitating.
Gabriel: If she gets a hold of Ciel again…
Even the heavens may fall
