Since he had already done his purpose, Gabriel left without a word. Now that the two were alone, Solace could feel Ren’s irritation worsen. He already had so much to do. On top of that, he still doesn’t know the truth of what happened earlier with her Keepers and Ren’s brother, Luciel. At least, that’s what she thought. After Gabriel left, there was a short moment of silence, when Ren finally moved and started to walk. She saw it as an opportunity, but couldn’t think of how she would say it.

Rey: Wait–I

Ren turned his head and stared at her for a while before answering.

Ren: Don’t worry, I already know

Rey was surprised at first. She accepted it later on, knowing well of who he was. She apologized and informed him of her progress. She stopped when he interrupted her, saying he didn’t need an explanation. She misunderstood what he meant and stood quiet. Realizing this, Ren decided to rephrase himself, adding on that all he needed was assurance. Rey looked up to him and finally got his point. But before she could even speak, Ren turned and spoke once more.

Ren: Time is of the essence [Even Gabriel himself made his move, its only a matter of time when “they” come too]

Leave, before they come

Rey stuttered in an attempt to speak, hesitating to continue. She then went closer and grabbed his hand, making him look at her. Reality itself then began to crumble as Ren stared at her eyes. He knew she wasn’t going to give up, so he kneeled down and did what she wanted. Demons then began to shriek, shouting in anger as the cracks widened. With one of them in the loose, Ren casted a protective field. She then told him to close his eyes. Ren hesitated at first and sighed before squeezing his eyes shut. She then came closer and placed a kiss on his forehead. Although it was only for a short while, he claimed it to be a blessing, a kiss of Immortality. The Heaven’s Touch. Upon opening his eyes, he realized that she had already left. With Void now shattered and countless demons coming out from the cracks of space, he prepared himself for what was to come. But even with their strength in numbers, their cries of anger, all Ren could think of was one thing as the monsters rushed him.

Ren:  You have such soft lips, it makes me go insane

[Maybe I have gotten softer]

On the other side, Luciel finally woke up and looked around. He’s been sleeping more often, even while doing his role which was to protect the Queen. Queen Elizabeth called out to him, and apologized for waking him up. Knowing that he was lacking, he too apologized. The Queen laughed, which surprised him, she then continued saying that Luciel should take care of himself more, even as a Traveler. With his shift done, he headed straight to the Lab where he looked for Dain. Unfortunately, he wasn’t there. He asked the people around, but no one knew where he went. Hesitating, he wanted to leave. But upon thinking of the consequences of doing so, he gave in and went to Yve’s room.

She was surprise to hear him call out to her, let alone see him in front of her room. She grinned as she started to plan out how she would tease him. But she stopped upon hearing him speak, asking if she knew where Dain was. She hesitated, but opened the door.

Yve: What would you have to do with him?

Luciel: Its none of your business

Yve: Well then, you can leave

Bye~

Luciel: Wait! Its important you dumbass!

Yve stopped upon hearing what he said. But still, she shut the door in front of him. She listens as he tried to reason it out without giving her too much information. She laid down on the bed and turned the opposite way. After a while, he managed to persuade her just enough to cooperate. She then enabled the speaker in her room and told him of Dain’s whereabouts. Just before he left, he hesitantly gave her thanks to the she-demon.

Luciel then headed towards the Library, where Yve thought he was supposed to be. Surprisingly, he found Sara there, the marksman of Leo’s group. He asked her where Dain was, thinking she knew. Luckily, he was right, and Sarah led him to the Garden where they saw Dain with the King. He was looking at the opposite direction, so he couldn’t feel their entrance. Sara excused herself and took their attention.

King Roderick:  What is it that you’ve come for?

Sarah: Her Highness’ Knight, Luciel...

Luciel: Greetings your Highness, Your Majesty…

I’ve come bearing gre-great news

King Roderick: Go on…

Luciel then informed them of Athena’s favor. That the Prince of Lichtenstein was coming to visit. To his surprise, both the father and his son weren’t surprised, as if they knew about it already. After taking a sip of his tea, Dain spoke with a voice so weak it had a clear message. He claimed to have already known of the Prince’s plan and have started to prepare for the event. But due to his cold, the operation was stopped. It was also the reason why he was with the King at that moment, for Dain was about to relinquish his role as the one who’d lead the operation. Luciel was surprised upon hearing this, thinking it wouldn’t really affect Dain that much if it was just a mere cold. But as he thought of that, he watched as Dain’s lip shook. Only then did he realize that the choice wasn’t his, but of the King. Luciel then left and took Sarah with him, giving the other two their private time.

When they finished, Luciel waited for Dain to leave. With the King now alone, he took the opportunity and came to him. His sudden appearance shook the King, who said he’d prefer if Luci came to him normally. Luciel kept quiet, which gave a clear message to the King. He then sat back down, and poured a cup before inviting him.

Luciel: I don’t drink tea…

King Roderick: You don’t eat too, yet there you were, at the same table…

Eating…

Luciel: [What is this old man thinking] ….Why did you make him step down

King Roderick: ….Im surprised that you’re curious –

Luciel: Well... I’m stuck with you humans anyways, so why not learn how yall…Operate…

King Roderick:  Hahaha~ how hilarious…

….That boy—has…Done quite a lot for the past few months

Luciel: Isn’t hardwork a good thing?

King Roderick: It is… It is, but…Like you probably already know… We can only live for so long

One must know when to rest

Luciel reminded that it was just a cold, that he believed Dain could keep. But to his surprise, the King never replied. Instead, he looked away, claiming that there was a life he wanted Dain to see. After a while, Luciel broke the silence, asking who he had in mind in replace of Dain. King Roderick told him of many candidates, from different families. Not knowing who they were, he decided to change the question, asking if Montana was fit to do it. The King thought for a while and looked back at him before taking another sip. In the end, he agreed and asked the Second if he could be the one to inform her. The day ends as Luciel heads back to the Palace to inform Montana, who he had heard was in the Dining Room, with the others who were waiting for him to come.

The following days were incredibly busy, everyone was everywhere, moving simultaneously like cogs. Three days have passed when Dains’ role as leader was passed on to Montana. At the entrance of the Palace, Montana finally got a glance of Luciel, who looked like a lost child, she called out to him and in a short they finally reached each other. He asked her what was happening, only for her to laugh, saying it was ridiculous if he really didn’t know. Now that they were finally moving out, Montana’s excitement was through the roof. The event was held in a different house, but knowing both Sophie and the twins would be there, she couldn’t help but feel excited. Luciel saw this very clearly, and claimed it was stupid. The rider then was surprised as the carriage began to shake.

While on the way to Oeberon’s home, the carriage stopped when Yve’s carriage, which was the one if front came to a halt. She then came out and got closer, while calling out to Montana. Upon reaching her carriage she watches through the window as Montana was beating Luciel to a pulp. She stopped after noticing Yve and only then did she remember that they needed new clothes. She told the Rider to park to the side. To her surprise, she meets Athena, who was dressed in casual clothing. This surprised her at first, when she suddenly began to complement Athena of her beauty. Upon realizing that Athena was supposed to be guarded by Leo, she asked her where he was. It was at that moment when Leo appeared, and claimed that Athena had left their carriage to shop. Now that they were together, the three took their time shopping, using Leo and a few of his men as their Porter.

Athena, who had felt someone’s gaze, looked for where it was. She then saw someone in black clothing, watching them from a distance. The man didn’t seem to have been watching her, seeing as there was no reaction when she looked at him. She confirmed her thoughts when she executed a theory and went closer to the other two. Upon reaching them, she looked back to where he was, only to see no one there.
