"Chaos!" Zuri screamed, as she knelt down and hugged her body tightly. "How can you bring us here all of a sudden!?"
Zur had to scream, because the howling wind around her was too loud, she almost couldn't hear her own voice because of that.
Chaos must have lost his mind to take them here without any warning and now Zuri was only wearing her pajamas.
"I forgot to give you a warning." Chaos draped a thick cloak around her body and put his palms against her ears, which warmed her whole body. "My bad."
"Is that even an excuse?" Zuri growled at him, but she felt better. Despite the harsh winds and the cold temperature, she was warm and could hear him perfectly. He must have cast a protection barrier around them.
Chaos helped her to stand up and grabbed her hand when they walked ahead.
"Where are we?" Zuri tightened the cloak around her neck, the howling wind around them was scary, but the vast land around her, which was covered with snow, was even scarier, there was nothing that they could see, except snow.
She wondered how Chaos was able to find his way in this kind of place. She grabbed his hand tightly, afraid that she would get separated from him, she was not sure that she would be able to survive in this kind of environment.
"The summit of Mu Mountain," Chaos replied casually, as if they were only taking a walk in the park.
"Where is that?" Zuri widened her eyes, she was not sure how to respond to that information. "The white wolf pack is living here? In this kind of place? I don't like to be frozen to death. I want to go back."
Zuri looked sullen because she just realized what she had signed herself up for and to think that she needed to live in this place did not thrill her at all.
However, Chaos didn't reply to her.
"Chaos?" Zuri tilted her head and hastened her steps to look at him. "Chaos!" She called his name loudly because his eyes were the color of red right now. This was a bad sign. The last time it happened he destroyed an entire city because the darkness inside of him could not be controlled.
"We will meet with your mother's pack," Chaos finally replied. He looked at Zuri and smiled reassuringly, as if everything was fine.
"Why should I meet with my mother's pack when I don't even know them at all?" Zuri was nervous, she tried to keep talking to Chaos because she didn't want him to lose himself. "Why do you want me to meet with them?"
Chaos pulled Zuri back because the snow became thicker and it was hard for her to walk, thus he put her behind him, so she could follow in his footsteps. It would make it easier for her.
"Because we need them. There is a reason why the white wolf is almost extinct." Chaos felt Zuri grab the back of his jacket.
"Because they have a secret power? And you think I have that?" Zuri snickered. She found that ridiculous. She had lived for twenty nine years and she had never even gotten a glimpse of anything out of the ordinary about herself. "Like what? I can shoot a pair of laser beams from my eyes?"
Chaos laughed at that comment and somehow, this made Zuri glad, she was desperate to find the remaining pieces of him. She didn't want him to lose control and forget about everything, aside from destroying everything around him.
Damn that devil.
"If I can have any power, I hope I have enough power so I can kill Aaron."
Chaos chuckled when he heard that. "It will be refreshing to know that you can do it."
"Don't worry, if I can, I will be the one who protects you."
Chaos laughed at that. "You always protect me, Blue."
=========================
"Are you sure this will work?" Gael said, frowning. He looked around him and figured out that they were surrounded by the members of the organization and a few soldiers from East Draghar that joined military training. "Why did you ask Knox not to use his power when you wanted to use it yourself?"
Skylar groaned, she shot Gael a dagger look because he kept talking. It seemed, when he was nervous, he became a chatterbox.
"Because Knox's power is for destruction and my power is for deception." Skylar could make the people around them not realize their existence. Even if they saw them, they wouldn't even be able to notice there were three trespassers here.
They almost looked like they were staring at an empty space.
"And why are you so nervous when you have attacked the organization in the past to get your daughter out?" Skylar couldn't understand Gael's worries, because it was uncalled for.
"Because I brought forces with me, but right now I am just with two annoying supernatural creatures, they are two different situations," Gael emphasized the part where they were annoying him and Skylar growled at him.
"Watch your mouth, I can make you be noticed by them," Skylar warned him.
"Oh, please, do you really believe that I will believe that clumsy warning? You? Will blow up Chaos's plans? Seriously, you are even willing to worship the ground that he walks on."
"You!"
"Shut up both of you or I will destroy this entire place along with you two," Knox said coldly. He didn't even raise his voice when he said that, but it was enough to make the two of them clamp their mouths shut.
They didn't want to upset Knox further, because he was already grumpy and in not good space of mind.
"Where did they put Norbeat?" Knox asked.
"The informant said he will be around this area, since they moved him to be close with Killian, because it will be easier for them to guard the two shattered souls in one place." That made sense to Gael, since it would reduce mishaps. "There will be a corridor on the left and the second door on our right will be our destination."
Skylar looked around her and then frowned.
"What is it?" Knox sensed that from her.
"Nothing." Skylar shook her head. "It feels a little bit off. If we can destroy the whole place, why don't we do that? It will be easier for the two of you to do that rather than sneaking around like this." n-/OveLb1n
"This place is very large and our power needs time to bring the whole place to the ground only by the two of us, not to mention that they will start to fight back. Moreover, do you think this is their only base? Don't be ridiculous, we don't need to start a war now," Gael scoffed at Skylar's suggestion.
"Chaos can do that, he could destroy the whole city," Skylar said proudly, she admired the man to death.
"Oh, please... he is the original and we are only a few pieces of his soul, having a tiny little bit of his power." Gael rolled his eyes dramatically upon hearing that.
Moreover, for Chaos to do that, it would be dangerous, because if he let himself out and overused his power, he wouldn't be able to control the darkness inside of him anymore. He wouldn't even be able to recognize his foe or his friend. He would only destroy everything that he saw and touched.
It had happened twice and they didn't want it to happen again for a third time, or else, not even humans or supernatural creatures would have a place to live.
"Here, I think this is the door, can you open it?" Gael looked at Knox, who moved closer to the door and opened it with ease, he didn't talk much and seemed like he wanted to be done with this as soon as possible, because his mind was elsewhere right now.
However, as soon as the door was opened, they immediately realized there was something wrong.
Because instead of Norbeat, it was Vanesha, who was waiting for them inside. She was sitting on the stretcher bed and stared at the three of them.
"Gael, long time no see," Vanesha said, but she didn't seem happy to see him here. "I hope it is not you."
"Vanesha." Gael's easy going demeanor immediately faded when he saw the girl. The last time he saw her was years ago after Lise had died and she chose to join Sol, because she wanted to be with him.
Her duty to him had ended with her helping him to get River back, therefore, Gael couldn't forbid her from leaving.
Despite her betrayal, she still wanted to return to the organization because aside from Sol, Nikolai, her brother was also here, she didn't want to be separated from her brother as well.
Gael didn't know how she managed to get into the organization again and earn Sol's trust, but right now, they were not on the same page.
They were enemies.
"How is River?" Vanesha asked, at least, she was genuine when she asked about River, she was like a little sister to her and she couldn't detach herself completely after watching her for years and helping her to get out of this hellish place, yet she still loved Sol and no matter how cruel he could be, she still wanted to be with him.
Those years when she tried to help River, she learned about Sol as well and tried to get to know him more.
