"Damn it! You don't need to kick me, you know!" Hades growled from behind Zuri, while he could only see the girl rushing away toward Chaos and not care about anything else.
On the other hand, there was nothing in Zuri's mind except the question; what happened to Chaos? Was he all right?
Zuri approached the place and was surprised to see the snow had disappeared, while the ground looked so dark, as if something had burned it.
But in the middle of it was Chaos, without Flo. The little girl was nowhere to be seen. Where was she?
Zuri looked around and found Aaron carrying Flo in his arms, the little girl was unconscious while smoke emanated from her body, though her skin didn't show any signs of being burned at all.
The devil stared down at the little girl in his arms with his callous, golden eyes.
Meanwhile the alpha was standing two steps away from him, he looked terrified at the sight in front of him.
On the other hand, Chaos stood in his place, which made Zuri sigh in relief. However, he didn't do anything else, he didn't even budge.
On the side, Tia and the rest of the pack members got the impact of the explosion, as they tried to get on their feet again. Their faces turned red, while snow covered their coats.
"Chaos!" Zuri was about to grab him, the tip of her fingers grazed the coat that he was wearing, but then he disappeared.
Zuri stumbled forward and she felt her heart lurch to her stomach when she saw Chaos vanish into thin air.
This was not good. This was really not good.
Chaos could appear anywhere and he would unleash hell on earth wherever he ended up at. Two cities had been destroyed by him when he lost it in the past and now Zuri was on the opposite side of the world, she didn't even know where exactly she was right now.
However, when her mind rushed so fast about all the possible things that could happen, she heard someone scream loudly in agony, which made her turn her body around out of instinct.
Zuri realized Chaos appeared behind the alpha and grabbed his neck, as he took back his soul from him.
The alpha's eyes widened, horror filled his eyes, as his scream died out before his body vanished. He was no longer there. He no longer existed in this realm.
Chaos managed to take back his shattered soul, but he didn't look better at all.
Meanwhile, Aaron with Flo in his arms, only watched everything unfold with an impassive gaze, as if there was nothing weird that happened before he smirked and disappeared from their sight, leaving Chaos alone there, staring at the empty space.
"You need to stop him, you know." Hades suddenly appeared behind Zuri and advised her. "Pull the sword out of you and stab him."
"Get lost!" Zuri grabbed his arm and was about to throw a punch at him for what he said, but Hades laughed lightly before he too disappeared from there.
However, at the same time, a ball of fire was shot toward her by Chaos. It seemed the attack was aimed at Hades, but since the devil disappeared to dodge his assault, it was only her in the way of the attack.
The ball of fire was so bright, it was so red and melted the snow that covered the ground in its path and it was too late for Tia to cast a protection barrier around Zuri when she saw that, while Hades didn't expect something like this to happen.
Even if Chaos's aim was Hades, but with Zuri so close to the devil, there was no way she wouldn't be implicated.
And now, it was too late for Zuri to dodge the attack. She could only stand there, stunned, unable to move, yet even if she could, there was no chance for her to survive this.
"ZURI!" Tia screamed her name, her eyes opened wide when she saw that her only granddaughter would be burned alive by the ball of fire. "NO! GET AWAY FROM THERE!"
Zuri raised both of her hands out of instinct, as if by doing so, she could hold back the fireball that Chaos had shot at her, but instead of running away, her feet gave in and she knelt down on the ground. She closed her eyes when the fireball came closer to her so fast.
This was it? This was how she would die? In the hands of Chaos?
Zuri gritted her teeth, she waited for the pain to come when everything around her turned white again.
But then, nothing happened, what she waited for didn't happen and there was no pain either.
What was this?
Slowly, Zuri opened her eyes and looked at her hands. There was no sign of burning scars at all, but when she looked around her, she saw a burning line on either side of the ground.
It seemed the fireball was divided into two before it hit her before the pieces shot past her.
And before everything could register in her mind, she found Chaos standing in front of her. His eyes were so dark, as he stared down at her. However, he didn't say anything.
"Chaos?" Zuri called his name gingerly. She couldn't tell whether he was still possessed by the darkness inside of him or not.
But then, Chaos stretched out his hand and touched her cheek. His fingers felt so callous and cold.
"Blue..." he said impassively. "My Blue..."

"Why do you have to do that in front of her?" Nikolai confronted Sol when it was only the two of them.
Sol beat Gael until he lost consciousness and then walked out of the room. He let Vanesha tend to him and save him, so he wouldn't die. He was still not satisfied. Death was too easy for him.
"Answer me!" Nikolai grabbed Sol's arm and turned his body around, but Sol twisted his hand and pushed him against the wall, he used his free arm to press his neck.
"I am your Commander, don't you dare to raise your voice on me," Sol said menacingly. He didn't like it when someone else barked at him.
However, Nikolai didn't falter at all, he stared straight into Sol's eyes. "I don't care what you are doing to Gael. Why would you make her see it?"
Sol narrowed his eyes dangerously. He pressed harder on his neck. "Don't tell me that you have forgotten what she had done. She betrayed us once and she will do it again. Do you think with her reaction, she will sit idly when I plan to kill him?"
"If you don't trust her, let her go! You are just using her!" Nikolai roared. He was well aware of Vanesha's feelings toward Sol and that was the main reason for her to return, but this was not right. This man was too twisted and Vanesha would get hurt in the end.
"Do you think she doesn't know? She knows that I am using her and she doesn't mind." Sol only told him the truth, something that Nikolai already knew.
Vanesha was not that stupid to not realize that she was being used.
Nikolai then pushed Sol away from him, to make him stop choking himself. "I think what Gael said is true. You are a coward, even now. I don't understand what my sister sees in a man like you."
At the mention of Gael, Sol's eyes turned slightly darker as he reached for his gun and pressed it against Nikolai's temple.
"Say it again and I will blow your head!" Sol was seething right now. He was only a step away from killing Nikolai right there and then.
"And then what? Can you get a hold of Vanesha? I really want to know whether her love for you can overcome the fact that you have killed both her father figure and her beloved brother." Nikolai grinned when he saw Sol realized the same thing, but he was not yet done. "Do you think she will still continue the project that you gave to her?"
Nikolai knew how important the project was for Sol and it was only Vanesha, who could do it, since she held all the knowledge about it.
Nikolai pushed away the gun from his temple and looked Sol dead in his eyes.
"Don't play with my sister's feelings, Sol. You maybe my Commander, but I don't give a damn to someone, who wanted to fuck with my baby sister's feelings."
And after saying that, Nikolai walked out of the room. He knew Sol wouldn't stop here, but at the least, he would know where Nikolai stood.

Emily was waiting for Eros, he just finished with his training today and it had been hellish since Liam sent half of the warriors away to the east draghar. noVe)lb(1n
Meanwhile, those who were left behind were young warriors. Some of them didn't even have any real experience in battle.
They were cursing at the alpha for his decision as he didn't take into account their unwillingness against Liam working with the humans.
"How are you feeling?" Emily approached Eros and gave him a cup of warm tea when he entered the room.
"Why didn't you sleep?" Eros took the tea and thanked her.
"I can't sleep. I am waiting for you."
"There is something you want to talk about?" Eros could tell from her expression.
Emily looked nervous right now. "Yes, I want to talk about something."
