Chapter 2: How it begins

Sam a gamer with not much gaming experience under his belt got bored of playing the game he was currently trying so he decides to search something else. He logged into a game store to see if any new games are available and he saw one that caught his attention it was named “Conquest of Arcana” with a picture of a big planet as its cover photo. He clicked the icon to see more about it and saw it was a mmo of sort but the size of 100gb made it look more like a scam than anything but thinking his antivirus will save if its virus he nonchalantly downloaded and entered the game. After opening the game he saw many different magic circles and something that looked like a loading bar.

Larth after grinding for days and night finally completed his game. He had to extract souls of gamers and send them off to arcana to their new body but a problem occurred. A body after losing its soul rapidly deteriorated which was like the withering of bodies after death. So he spent the past couple of days making a system which stopped a deteriorating body into thinking it had a soul in it and continue with metabolism normally. After days of work and finally uploading his “game” in a fairly popular game hub he looks at his first player entering the world of Arcana.

Sam after experiencing his soul leaving his body and entering the game was shocked as he looked upon what looked like a battlefield. He was summoned near the county of Arun where a war took place recently and a lot of impure mana had gathered. ‘Impure mana is the mana which is left as a residue after casting a magic, for example if a fireball is cast the mana in atmosphere gathers and forms a fireball but after its property is changed the mana becomes uncontrollable and doesn’t take part in magic forming.’ Sam looks around and finds himself standing in a daze for some minutes. After finally regaining himself he sees a window in his top left with something written in it. “Welcome young vestige to the world of Arcana, State your name and you may proceed.” Sam looks at the window and says his gamer tag which has always been Sam as he didn’t think of a need to change his name to something else. “Well then Sam you may look around as you please”. And some boxes with his name at top and some hints were given to him in the top left of his view.

[Hint: you may change the shape of your body by changing the mana your body is composed of.

Hint: Survey the surroundings and kill your first enemy for further hints.]

Sam looked around to see if the so called enemy are around but stays at ease after finding no one around. For the first hint he clicks on it to see if something happens and it does. It shows another window with words and how his body looks right now.

[Character traits: As your body is formed purely of impure mana in birth you have a physical body but it is weak and vulnerable. You may change the shape of your body to anything you like but as you grow stronger these features starts to set and will become unchangeable. Your colour is not changeable as it takes the colour of mana you are made up of.]

Sam tries to do as he pleases with his body and to his surprise can he not only change the face, height, and other stuff he can give an entirely different part to his body like the tail he gave himself and can control the tail like his body but not professionally. He does not go too deep into it and just makes him a bit muscular definitely different from the chubby build he has on real life. He is not worried too much as he can change it later as he pleases until he gets strong for his body to take permanent shape later. After doing that he goes on to find his first opponent in this world.

Little to Sam's knowledge some others have also entered the world but their expression was completely different to Sam's. They were amazed by the graphics and the world around them different patches of dirt where some blood spilled to some untouched. Piles of dead body and weapons lying in the floor which they could pick up. Everything could be interacted with. A player picked a sword in a ground and sliced at a corpse and his guts kept spilling out which made him vomit but nothing came. Still feeling nauseous he looks around and changed his character to a character with horns and wings like a demon and called his friends from real life to play together this new game he has found.
