Chapter 4: Court

After a week, the Court was going to hear about the case. Mugabe's market value has already dropped by 40%.

The Villainess is very powerful in the beginning, right? If being 'The richest woman' and now the '4th richest person' isn't enough, I am in the top 3 Hollywood actress as well, with a very large fanbase.

And with the large amount of drama, she lost to a powerless secretary who had some men as her dogs. And even then, it's not like her properties were going anywhere. She was still the richest woman.

The judge read all the allegations and demands I have brought forward. In short, 

1) Pay 80 million USD I had used on my wedding.

2) Pay for the various lands I have rented for his factories for impossibly cheap for the last 3 years with the new price. All in all, 500 million USD.

3) Fraud and compensation for mental trauma I have suffered. 1 billion USD.

4) A public apology.

The first and last demands are reasonable. But the second and third are just me wishing my luck to see how much I can extort from him. The deals that were made in past are already done, so Mugabe Conglomerate isn't obligated to pay. And the compensation of 1 billion is too much. I think that the upper limit will be 100 million USD, and even that is too much.

"Your honor. I would like to call Alex Mugabe in the trial box."

"Permission granted."

Without glancing at me even once, Alex went there, where he was faced with my lawyer. He has been working for my father too. And he is the best at his field.

"Mr Alex, is it true that you were having sex with another woman just two days before your marriage with my client?"

"Yes."

His answer pained me. Looks like I hoped that it was not him. That it was someone who looked just like him.

"I see. And since when have your affair been going on?"

"4 months."

I just shaked my head. What is there left to say? Alex agreed to fulfill my demands because he knew that I am right, and he is guilty. He isn't even glancing my way.

But I hoped that he would atleast defend himself...

Why am I feeling bad now for extorting him?

My mind was so blank that I didn't even here the judgement that went in my favour. Like I was on autopilot, my secretary drove me home and I went to bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.

The 5 years we had spent together... it ended just like that? The official apology on twitter from him didn't invoke any emotions in me.

Neither happy nor sad... I just felt empty.
