Chapter 13: (13) having fun

Inside the virtual space.

They are currently fighting a giant tentacle flower

"Block it!"

Qing Shan shouted while running away from the tentacle-like roots shooting from the ground

Feng Mian used a big shield made up of bones covered with thick hide to cover the others from sharp projectiles launched by the flower. He's running while covering everyone because they can't stay at one place as it can also attack from underground.

They got nearer and nearer to the flower. 

The flower got angry and fused its roots to swipe them far. 

They ducked down to dodge, but Zhi Ruo is unlucky, the roots hit her and split her in half. Before she can say anything she already turned into particles of light.

They cursed under their breath.

"Little Cloud, your spell is ready?" 

Feng Mian holds the shield up to defend them.

"I require some time to chant" 

He replied

"That's good

Old Qing, Sister Yu, distract the beast, I'm going to defend him to buy some time" 

Nodding, the two sprint out to the back of the beast and started attacking it.

Enraged, it focuses its attacks on the two, but they just cut its roots and dodge the more powerful ones.

"Now!" 

Feng Mian stand on the front of Little Cloud

Hearing him, Little cloud stod in place and start chanting. On the other side, the two are getting tired and dripping with sweat, but they hold on.

The flowers seem to notice something, the ground is becoming warmer. 

Seeing that it's trying to escape, Qing Shan blocked its path and smashed its main body with his staff, but it did little to damage it. 

Yu Yan on the other side keeps cutting its roots and attacking its main body when the opportunity arises.

The temperature continues increasing, but the flower is unable to escape. 

"Run!" 

After Little cloud shouted that, the earth gave on and turned into a fiery pit.

Yu Yan and Qing Shan managed to go far away just in time, but Feng Mian is not so lucky.

As for Little cloud, he successfully escaped. 

They continue running until

-boom- 

The ground that they just came from exploded into rubble.

Little cloud invested his upgrade to his mana on each level after getting the spell and so it's now much more powerful with more mana invested in it.

Standing up, Qing Shan helped the others up.

"Good job little cloud, tell me do you want any reward?~"

Yu Yan smile teasingly.

Hearing those words shivers down his spine.

"N-no, no need, great elder" 

He hurriedly replied.

She covers her mouth while giggling gently.

Feng Mian said while chopping some woods to feed the fire. They're preparing to cook a stew.

Yu ya crossed her leg while giggling

Zhi Ruo and Little cloud can't really be bothered to join the conversation. Competition is something they don't care about unless it's exciting.

They then all sit down

It allows you to summon fiery demons to fight for you or also fuse them with you for a limited time in desperate situations

Lily explained as he take some roasted meat for his wife.

Little cloud turned silent. The others are still reading the book.

"You can make it public information for people entering this place. We rather not have people die"

Yen said before munching on her food.

On the far side, Marlyn is having fun and happiness could be seen on her face. As her parents, nothing is much better than to see her happy.

The fun continues after that until eventually, it's time for them to leave.

Marlyn looks a bit sad, but Lily and Yen promised that she can talk to them again tomorrow.

"Senior Lily, you really should brew wine" 

Qing Shan said before turning into particles of light.

They all chuckle before disappearing too.

He said

"They will surely be back"

Yen said as she tickle her

Sound of protests soon could be heard from Marlyn and laugher followed that.

They decided that tomorrow they will finally release the sentry.

The two decided to use one of their chances for features to add a feature that makes it possible to enlarge the sentry and project their powers there. Creatures from the original virtual realm can exist there too.

The reason they made such a decision is that someone will mostly attack the sect shortly in the future. They are just investing.

As for the other chance to make a custom feature, they will keep it for Marlyn
