Chapter 3: CHAPTER 3: dream(2)

When she regained consciousness, she was in a box-like room alone. The room was painted completely white and one of its sides was completely covered in a blood-red curtain. Eerie silence made Elvin's heart race. She walked around to find something useful, trying her best to stay calm and ignore the fear inside her. 

"sigh...it seems that there's nothing here" she sighed, unable to find any clues which made her more afraid. Elvin looked at her trembling hands and took a deep breath. After a few minutes, she finally was able to control her emotion and headed towards the blood-red curtain that she never searched till now. 

The curtain was really long covering the entire wall, it was made of pure silk at first glance. She hesitantly opened the curtain and found that the whole wall was made of clear glass which showed the view outside. It was raining outside just as she expected it to be. The heavy rain made the water level outside rising, she could see other houses and buildings being destroyed by the flood, soon she found her house that was facing the same fate as other houses. Finding everything familiar, she moved closer to the glass wall.

"This...? am I at the so-called cursed mansion?!" finally guessing her location, Elvin moved even closer to the glass wall trying to analyze and get as much information as possible, but unfortunately before she could get any useful information another problem arose, the glass wall started slightly cracking as the water level kept rising at an unimaginable pace.

"What?!"

Elvin took a few steps backward, completely shocked. The cracks kept getting bigger, and shortly the glass wall broke making the water mixed with glass pieces rush toward her. she felt her skin getting injured by the glass pieces and was suffocated from the water along with her own blood.

Pitter-patter, pitter-patter

Elvin was sitting on the side of her bed, staring blankly with a phone in her right hand.

There was a downpour outside and in many houses, rainwater started leaking, and some were also destroyed in the flood, the interior of the house was silent and even colder than the outside just like the starting of this nightmare. 

Elvin tried to stand up but she couldn't, no matter how much she tried she couldn't stand up. And why she couldn't stand up? Elvin herself knew the reason clearly. 

'I am scared. I can feel it, I can feel everything, the pain, suffocation, and everything. dad...mom...Gil.... what's going on? I don't want to run away anymore... all this might be a reality, then-then...' Elvin slowly closed her eyes and her tears dripped down. She started focusing on her breath, trying to relax as much as possible and shortly opened her eyes. 'then...I should search for clues so I can decide what to do clearly'

Elvin checked the phone she was holding, it was similar to her phone but only showed the chat between her friends about hanging out together this evening and asking her opinion about this. Finding the phone useless after examing it for a long time, Elvin started inspecting her room. She checked her study table and moved to check her closet hoping to find something useful.

Inside the closet what she saw wasn't her clothes but rather a cardboard box emitting a slight smell similar to rust. Elvin got closer to the box confirming the smell to be human blood. Even though terrified, she was able to control her emotions and remain calm thanks to her previous unforgettable experience.

Taking a deep breath and making mental preparation, Elvin tried opening the box knowing there might be a corpse inside but in the end, she couldn't stop herself from screaming at the brutally disassembled female corpse, what made it even more astonishing to Elvin is the fact that the female corpse looked similar to her.

Elvin fell on the floor and tried to get away from the corpse, soon she could hear the footsteps of two people running towards her room.

Albert broke the door and came in along with Irin. Gilbert followed them walking leisurely.

"El! are you alright?! I heard you scream" Albert walked towards Elvin but stopped his tracks noticing the box with a female corpse, his eyes widened with the unexpected scene. " w-what is that? corpse?"

"We should call the police. Albert, you go and make a call" Irin looked at the corpse frowning, and calmly took the action, as someone who works in forensics she is used to seeing these things "I will take a look at El "

"ah yes " Albert took his phone making the call while Irin went towards Elvin and helped her sit on the bed and calm herself down.

"here... drink some water dear" Irin gave her some water 

"ah... yes mom" Elvin slowly drank the water. She stared at the empty cup in a daze. Suddenly she felt chills and turned to her right, finding her brother smiling creepily.
