It was mid-afternoon and the streets of Riveria Kingdom were more crowded than usual, making it an ideal day for those selling goods. It was a prosperous place with a large port, which made trading with other important kingdoms simple.

The wealth of Riveria and its good reputation for high standards of living were constantly attracting people, which led to a high density of population. Big walls were circling the whole kingdom which was situated on a small island very close to the mainland.

A tall blonde man with a few strands of white hair at the front was walking down the main street with a bag of clothes on his shoulder. The view of the ocean sparkling in the sun was delightful.

"This kind of city life is so boring and relaxing. It literally makes me want to sleep all day," he said after a long yawn.

He was wearing a white sleeveless open vest revealing his well-built muscles around his arms and his several tattoos coming down from the triceps all the way to his fists. His clear six-pack abdomen was scarred under the form of a huge K letter. On the bottom side, he had long white pants with several golden symbols on them, just as on the vest. The attractive features of his face, along with the unique white color of his eyes were a killer among girls. His name was Ashura and he was blind.

"Damn dude, why am I so tired? Is it from all the sex I had with the king's wives or is my body still recovering from my last mission?" The twenty-seven years old man was talking to himself loudly without caring that most people passing by were staring at him.

Suddenly, his thoughts got interrupted by a man wearing armor.

"Mister, his majesty, the king, is calling for you. Please head to the royal palace as soon as you can." The soldier bowed forward and left immediately.

"That shitty old man who only sits down all day farting on his throne always has something for me to do. A man needs to rest. How am I supposed to keep this eye-catching look without my beauty sleep?"

Ashura was now kneeling with one foot in front of the king and his two main guardians.

"Thanks for coming so fast. I'm in great debt to you for the impeccable services you offer to me and my kingdom. We would not be where we are right now if it wasn't for you helping us these past five years."

"I'm honored."

Ashura was in fact only helping so he can freely fuck his young wives and have a nice place to stay in the kingdom where other mercenaries can not come to bother him.

The king cleared his throat and moved on to the main subject.

"There is a woman who wants to meet you tonight at ten at the main bar by the port. She said it is important and I couldn't refuse her."

"The king not able to speak his own mind? That's rather strange," the young man replied lifting his head to look into the old man's eyes.

Drops of sweat were falling from his forehead down to his chin, "Aaamm, it's something we should not refuse, okay?" he was stuttering a bit.

Thinking that this could turn into something fun and interesting, Ashura stood up, turned around, and started to walk away without permission.

"I accept. I shall meet her as you asked."

It was dark outside and the crowd of people was now gone. The waves of the ocean hitting the land were music to the young man’s ears who was now walking in the port illuminated by lamp posts. He was heading to the bar. Seagulls were screaming and flying everywhere across the starry sky reminding him of the good days when he used to travel by sea all alone to kill people for coins.

As soon as he stepped inside the bar, he saw an old woman sitting alone in a corner, further away from all the chattering and noisy atmosphere.

"Were you looking for me, Emer?" Ashura said as he put a hand on her shoulder and greeted her with a charming smile.

The young witch was completely taken by surprise. Not only did he figure out who she really was despite her perfect transformation spell, but he was also not afraid in the slightest of her.

"Sit down and don't use my real name around here. Witches and humans are not on good terms. Don't force me to kill you and everyone else in here," Emer said while keeping a low profile.

"So? What did you want to discuss with me?" Ashura took a sit in front of her completely ignoring her threat and put his feet on the table.

Despite finding his attitude completely disrespectful towards her, Emer decided to let it go and sipped from her hot tea calmly. She was showing no emotions.

Ignoring his question, the witch asked: "How did you know it was me?"

"These eyes can see so much more than you think."

"So you're not blind."

"I am blind, but I can still use my other senses to form a clear image of the things and people around me. My blindness helped me develop my other senses at an extraordinary level. I can feel and hear things that others cannot. I would lie if I said I cannot see."

After making a sign to the barman to bring him a beer, he turned back towards the witch.

"Where did you kill this old woman that you transformed into? I heard you witches can only take the appearance of another woman if you take her life first."

"Only a few houses from here, on a dark alley. I managed to lure her with a cat."

Once Ashura got his beer, Emer completely changed the subject, "I like your necklace. What do these "S/O" letters mean?"

"That's none of your business," he stood up and pushed his hair to the back with both hands. He then took the chair, turned it around, and sat down again with his arms resting on top of the chair. It looked like he was losing his patience.

"There are a few people that escaped from a village I destroyed deep in the heart of the mountains. It's an area of about fifty square miles under my curse, so they shouldn't be able to survive, but I am unsure of it as there is an exceptional girl among them that reminds me of a certain someone. I want you to go and do the work for me."

"Okay, I can do it. Do I get something out of it or do I just get to keep my head on my shoulders?"

Emer laughed at his question and smiled. Only for a second, he felt like he could see her evil grin. She has just released a small portion of her powerful aura that sent chills down the 27 years old man's spine. It was something he's never felt before. He already knew that he could not refuse a request from the strongest witch, and this only confirmed his theory.

"You have been recommended to me by my sister Elya. She said she was impressed by you during your last mission on her territory."

Their chattering was stopped by the loud sound of the entrance doors being slammed against the wall. Three well-built and tall men with short and sharp beards came in and headed straight to the barman.

One would probably mistake them for being real brothers as they were all looking similar, wearing the same clothes, and keeping their beards the same length. They even had the same tattoos around their necks. They were forming a party known as the three brother snakes here in the kingdom.

"Get going with three big beers, barman! Then call the prostitutes here. Tonight I'm pissed so I'm screwing a few of them down here in front of everyone."

"For me too," another brother added, "We've just arrived from a long mission, we need some relief."

"I'm very sorry, gentlemen! The rules say that you only get to sleep with a girl if you go upstairs. It's bad manners to do it here in front of everyone else," the barman answered with a humble voice. He was looking down clearly scared by the presence of the three men.

"Huuuuuuuh?! Do you even know why you get to laze around doing close to nothing every day? That's because we, the three brother snakes get to do all the freaking dirty work!" His tone was getting higher with every sentence.

Emer was enjoying the show made by the three bulky men, but it wasn't enough for her. Hence, while everyone was distracted, she changed her appearance to a young beautiful girl to attract the men over.

"You're not planning to do anything about them, Ashura?"

"Not my problem. No one hired me to teach a few cocky primates how to behave."

The third brother, who was the smaller one in height, was staring toward the table where Emer and Ashura were. He had his hands in his pockets. Using the toothpick from his teeth, he invited his brothers to pay them a visit. The three of them leisurely made their way to the table just as Emer wished would happen.

"Annoying."

One of the three bossy men put his big hand in Ashura's hair to support his weight, while the other two took a seat next to the young lady.

"Let me tell you how this goes, young boy. We are here to bang your lady. So let's do an arm wrestle for her. How about that? You seem to have a tiny bit of growing muscle and some tattoos to show off."

The other two laughed.

Ashura sighed, "She's not my lady, but I'll do an arm wrestle with you if you want."

After chuckling, the bulky man took his hand off Ashura's hair and pointed with his thumb at him while looking at his brothers, "Can you believe this guy?"

"Ha, ha, ha, ha! I say you show him a small portion of your strength, brother. But make sure not to overdo it, you might break his arm."

The two were now in a starting arm wrestle position.

"Three, two, one, GO!"

They had barely started properly when the man that wrestled Ashura got thrown to his death already. He was glued to the wall of the bar without his right forearm. At the table, the blind man was simply standing there with blood on his face and the dead guy's forearm in his hand. He was not saying a word and he was not even looking in the direction of the man he'd just killed.

Fear took over the people who started screaming and leaving the room in a hurry. The only one who was still in the bar with Emer, Ashura, and the two brothers was the barman whose legs were shaking uncontrollably.

A few moments later, the one who had been killed, fell off leaving blood scattered on the wall. The arm wrestle had been his biggest mistake and it had resulted in his demise. The dead man’s hand bled heavily painting the table and the floor.

Being almost impossible for the other two brothers to understand what had happened, they simply stood there astonished and dumbstruck. Their lifetime friend had been killed so unexpectedly and they were not able to prevent it.

"Fuck youuuuuuuuu!" finding the courage, they attacked him simultaneously, but they died before they could do anything as the witch popped their hearts with magic. She used a spell that only she could do which works only on the common weak folks. She wouldn't be able to cast it on people like Ashura or B who had a stronger will and great life force.

The doorbell rang again as the blonde-haired man left the bar and shook his vest to remove the dirt from all the commotion. He put it back on and said, "Don't worry about the girl, consider the job done, Emer. I'm sure the king will pay me a fortune for it."

Ashura was a merciless man that would kill anyone if he would gain something from it. He was not afraid of anything as the dark past that he had was one of the worst things someone could live through. He had a strong will, great power, and many tricks up his sleeve. He was known as the King's Fist of Riveria and instilled great fear in those he was sent after, many even committing suicide when they found out he was hunting them.

The witch had also given him a strong magic weapon in the form of a skull which allowed him to use cursed creatures as he desired without saying a word.

Some people that met him would say that he was the strongest out there, but the world was still filled with many undiscovered territories and all kinds of strong beings.

"I'm coming for you, Saori!"
