An hour passed since Paul and Oliver took B and ran away. There was dust and blood everywhere in the village. This part of the settlement had been completely abandoned as most of the people still alive had already made it to the back gate, while the monsters retreated to the forests as soon as the sun came out.

"All alone again. After all these years spent alongside humans, now I'm on my own going to see my youngest sister," she whispered to herself.

Anta had a nostalgic feeling as she remembered the days she was younger living together with her mother and her sisters. They were joyfully playing in the garden of their huge house they had somewhere far away from civilization.

People were scared of them because of their magic power, hence, they had to isolate themselves and live in the wild.

"Those days were not too bad if I do say so myself," she added with a smile on her face.

"Too bad it had to turn out this way. All of them are blinded by revenge and are killing humans left and right, which led to an era of chaos and hatred."

The only thing the old woman could hear right now was her own footsteps and the fire burning. It was quiet and the visibility was reduced in these parts as a result of what happened over the night. The significant amount of smoke coming from the few houses on fire was only worsening it even further. It felt like every mountain around the settlement was hiding because they were scared of the witch.

"Look at me going to try to convince the most annoying and unreasonable little sister I have. Never managed to win an argument against her as she would not stop until she had the last word," Anta said while playing and tossing up the anti-stress ball with her left hand.

She spotted a monster from the corner of her eye. The thing wanted to get out from underneath the shadow of a house and attack her. It was struggling and suffering, but it didn't care apparently as the creature eventually died trying.

"My back hurts. I think I'll just sit down and wait here for my little queen."

The woman took a sit on the ground by supporting her weight on her walking cane. She was now standing in the middle of the path with her legs crossed.

"It's bad manners to make an old woman walk to you. These kids nowadays forgot how to respect the elderly," she continued to talk to herself so as to not let fear take over. Her sister became the ultimate threat to this world and she was well aware of it.

About one hundred meters in front of her, Emer and the doctor were walking right in the direction of Anta.

"Hey, docy boy. What's gonna happen next is a family matter. I don't want you to butt in. Go get out of the settlement through the pit you dug. Catch up with any villagers trying to escape and make sure none survives the curse of these mountains."

"Understood, master. Please take care."

After bowing, Victor withdrew and disappeared among the houses.

A few steps later, she heard Anta talking before she even came into view.

"Remember how I used to slap your buttcheeks whenever you were naughty or doing something silly? I am here to do the same today."

"Instead of pretending to be brave and insulting me like you did your whole life, how about you wipe out all that sweat off your face, scared old woman?" Emer replied unfazed by her words.

"Scared? It's hot out here in the sun for someone my age and I couldn't control my enthusiasm knowing that I'll be reunited with my little sister." Anta took a rag and wiped her forehead.

"You are so full of bullshit, sister. You are just trying to buy time so your disgusting human friends can get the hell out of here."

Her hate for humans was crystal clear.

"Oh, shit. Is this what I was trying to do? You see, my memory started to deteriorate with my age."

Anta managed to force an annoyed smile off her sister whose veins were popping out a bit around her forehead.

"Don't make that face, you will end up with wrinkles like me if you get angry."

"A big mouth you have gotten by living among humans. There is no difference between you and them anymore, so I might as well kill you."

"There you go being naughty. It seems like I'll have to slap that booty again," the old woman said as she used her walking cane to stand up.

Not willing to waste any more time arguing with her sister, Emer lifted her hand and pointed the palm to Anta.

"Your age must have done a number on your magic ability, so adios!"

Rotating sparks of flame appeared around her wrist and magical fire traveled from her veins and out through her palm right toward the old woman. It was traveling fast, its heat burning the ground underneath despite not touching it.

As a response, Anta recited something and used the magical words she scribbled on the ground before they met. By touching them one time with her stick, a thick blade of rock came out that split the blast of fire in two. As a result, the spell changed direction and all the houses in its trajectory were completely destroyed.

"An earth blade and teleportation magic. Two spells prepared in advance I see. So she can't even produce magic without incantation and spelling, probably she needs an object too."

The old woman had placed numerous magic traps on the path she used to run away, which she kept on activating by touching them and reciting a few words when Emer was in range. It was all earth magic: spins, cages, the ground turning into mud, and solid rocks flying at her. Nothing worked because everything the young witch touched would explode.

Even with the spells prepared in advance, by activating them, Anta was only slowing herself down as her health was quickly deteriorating with every cast.

"This is nonsense, I'm not gonna waste any more time. Too many people may survive," Emer said to herself as she closed her eyes and pointed her magic wand up.

Five magic wires looking like stems came out of the ground and into her left hand. She grabbed them tightly making a fist in order to keep her balance. The pebbles around her lifted up together with her dress that was flattering in the mad wind coming from her magic spell.

"Gravity control. The returned hand of the supreme queen." She opened her eyes which were shining red. From the corner of one eye, blood was falling down her left cheek, and her hair was blowing in the wind. Pieces of walls, rooftops, and windows started to float up as if pulled by gravity in an apocalyptic scenario. A meteorite was now heading down towards the village and its enhanced magic power was pulling objects up.

"How is that even a thing? In all my years as a witch, I've not seen a magic spell of this level. Is that cosmos magic? Do her powers have no limits!?" the old woman was completely shocked. She rushed into a random stable and pulled out a piece of paper, cut her palm with a knife, and used her own blood to draw symbols on the ground.

Not long passed and she was found.

"Too late, senile old woman," Anta heard her sister's voice in her head, then got lifted up and pulled through the fragile wall by Emer's gravity magic. She used the bottom side of her stick to try to stop, but it didn't work. She was heading towards the young witch's hand as if pulled by a magnet and there was nothing she could do to prevent it. A few seconds later, she was being strangled by the neck.

"You sacrificed your vision to ask the gods to help you create these walls while hiding from me?" Emer asked with an expression showing nothing but boredom. She had already noticed that the light from her eyes was missing.

"You must have figured out by now that nothing you do will work against me. It's only natural since I'm the strongest."

"Screw you, confident annoying brat! Your power has gotten to your brain," was her reply.

"Yeah? It was a foolish mistake that I let you live for so long. I truly hoped that you will change."

Just as the young witch finished talking, Anta pulled the hand she was hiding underneath her dress and tried to stab her sister in the stomach with a knife, hoping a surprise attack will be enough.

"Pointless!" Emer used the back of her free hand to slap the knife away, sending it to the ground in a puddle. She grabbed the older sister's arm and twisted it so hard that it got dislocated from the shoulder. The witch then used magic to increase her strength exponentially and pulled her sister’s arm to the side completely separating it from the rest of the body.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" The amount of pain made Anta lose consciousness in less than two seconds.

Completely unfazed by the pain she inflicted on her sister, she added in a low voice: "It looks like this is goodbye."

BOOOOOOOM! The tremendous mass coming down from the red sky fell right on them whipping out the whole village.
