Running through the forest without even taking a moment to rest a woman burst through the tree line in front of her.

Once she did so she ran down the slight hill directly in front of her.

Doing her best not fall and trip.

Especially given that she is being chased.

Making it to the bottom of the slight hill the woman started running again.

Releasing ragged breaths she rushed through the foliage in front of her, slapping it out of the way with a vigor.

The woman continued to do so for several minutes until she emerged from the foliage surrounding her and found herself in a small clearing.

"Dammit!" The woman cursed out loud. "Dammit, dammit, dammit!" She said in a fearful voice several more times.

As the woman did this several pieces of foliage began moving from the direction she was just running from.

Hearing this the woman immediately started running again.

Not caring in the direction she was heading.

Once again tossing the foliage in front of her out of the way as fast she possibly could the woman tried to increase her running pace. In hopes of putting even more distance between her and her pursuer.

But despite the woman's best attempts her pursuer kept up with her.

As evidenced by the sound of rustling foliage behind her as she ran.

"No, stay away!" The woman shouted in terror. Turning her head to scream at her pursuer, a look of pure terror in her eyes as she did so.

Doing this caused the woman to not pay attention to what was in front of her for a split second.

A fateful mistake.

A giant fallen tree-trunk laid in the path of the women.

But by the time she turned her head around and noticed it, it was too late.

She had no way to stop herself, and thus the woman tripped over the tree trunk and fell face first into the ground.

Once this happened the woman rolled several times due to the speed at which she was running beforehand and her forceful stop. This continued until the woman slammed into the trunk of a tall standing tree.

As she did so an audible groan escaped her mouth, echoing into the forest surrounding her.

Then after the woman stopped groaning a deathly silence fell over her surroundings.

Until the rustling started once more.

Looking in the direction of the sound the woman tried to get up, but felt immense pain in her body as she did so.

Then before she could think of another way to escape, her pursuer exited the foliage and stood before her.

Looking in its direction the woman ignored her pain and curled up into a ball. Tears beginning to stream from her eyes as she did so.

"Stop...please stop....Please!!" The woman cried at the top of her lungs.

But the shadow looming over her didn't not respond.

Instead it slowly started inching closer and closer until it closed the distance completely.

"NOOO!!!!!!!"

Throughout the entire forest the woman's cries rang out.

Birds flew from atop trees into the sky as it did so.

However that only lasted for a minute.

Since all of a sudden the woman's crying simply stopped.

Sending the forest into a deathly silence even stronger than before.
