Chapter 32: Chapter 32 Heading Back

A few hours passed before we had all the loot moved into the armory and as soon as it was completed I had my power armor compatible assaultrons equip 5 of the T-51 sets and 5 of the T-45 sets before I then had them start loading up on the assortment of loot in the armory to take back with us.

 

While they were gathering loot to take with us I headed over to the remaining power armor and put the rest of the sets away in my item box and once that was that was settled I walked over to where the partially assembled chimera tank was located and put that away as well with the mobile armory perk.

 

Well, time to get myself loaded up on some weapons as well but I think I’ll start with the uniques and when that's finished I’ll start loading my inventory with mini-nukes and after all that's done I’ll see what else I can get but I’ll most likely end up filling the rest of it with heavy weapons.

 

My bots and I then spent the next 45 minutes getting ourselves filled up on loot and when we were completely full of loot we made our way out of the armory. Once all my robots had exited it I closed the armory’s blast doors and locked it before we proceeded to the elevator so we could head up and make our way back home.

 

Several minutes later.

 

“Alright, guys get on the elevator so we can head back home.” I said aloud to my bots before I heard 10 affirmatives right after in response to my order.

 

Once we were all loaded onto the elevator I pressed the button that will take us back to the surface. A second later the elevator started moving upwards and after a small amount of time had passed we were back on the surface. I then had my bots get off the elevator while I pulled off the panel for the elevator and disabled the buttons from functioning so it would make it more difficult to access the bunker below.

 

Hmm I should probably turn those turrets on as well, yeah let me do that real quick and once I'm finished with getting them up and running we’ll head for the metro. I thought before I spent the next half an hour getting the turrets up and running.

 

Okay, now we can go.

 

As soon as I finished that thought my robots and I headed for the building we came through originally to get to the VSS Facility and spent a short amount of time making our way through it before we exited out of the front entrance of the building. We then made our way down the street towards Bailey's Crossroads Metro and after a few minutes, we arrived at the metro station entrance and headed inside.

 

Still, as dark as before, I was hoping the eagle eye perk would have helped some but I guess not. I think I’m going to pick up the Friend Of The Night perk next level up since if my helmets night vision were to stop functioning at night time I would be blind and the only other way I would be able to sense anything would be my perception field which has a relatively limited range at the moment though it is increasing in range as my perception goes up.

Once we were inside I toggled my night vision back on and proceeded forward into the dark with my robots trailing behind me with their power armor and heavy weapons equipped.

 

I should probably lay some traps out to stop others from coming into this metro since the ghouls are no longer here to stop anyone from passing through. I thought as I was heading further into the dark metro.

 

So as we were making our way through the metro I occasionally laid down some frag mines to try and stop people from reaching the VSS Facility and after several minutes had passed we reached the metro exit so I toggled off my night vision and exited the metro with my robots following right behind me.

 

As I exited the metro station I scanned my surroundings with my newly enhanced vision for a couple of moments and didn’t spot anything other than some feral dogs heading up the road north. So I continued backtracking the way we came for the next 50 minutes only encountering a group of 20 bloatflies that were quickly annihilated along with 3 radscorpions that were also killed off just as quickly and before I knew it we were walking into the parking lot out in front of my home with some of my newly produced robots busy scrapping the cars in the parking lot for materials.

 

“Well we’re finally back guys, let's head inside and unload all the loot we just got in the warehouse area.” I said aloud to my robots before I heard 10 simultaneous affirmatives a second later in reply to my command.

 

But before I headed inside with my robots I used mechu-deru on the 30 worker bots that were busy scrapping the nonfunctioning cars in the parking lot and after a short amount of time I was done using mechu-deru on them so I headed inside with my robots and as we were making our way to the warehouse area we passed a number of the defenses I had installed.

 

I also noticed the place was in a much cleaner state than what I had left in so my robots were getting quite a bit of cleaning done. A few minutes later we made it to the back of my new home where the warehouse area was located and started unloading all the loot and getting it organized.

 

Once we were finished with getting everything put away I had my Power Armor Compatible Assaultrons go to the manufacturing area and exit the power armor they were using since I wanted to make some upgrades to them. Such as changing their power systems over to fusion breeder and fabricating new power armor sets since I can make significantly better power armor than any of the previous iterations of power armor that I have now, it’s just going to take a lot of fabrication and time on my end and while I’m at I can see about adding some stealth capabilities to the power armor as well as some emp shielding since normal power armor is susceptible to electromagnetic pulses.

 

When I was done planning out what sort of upgrades I wanted to make to the suits of power armor I sent a signal with mechu-deru to have 10 of the worker bots outside currently scrapping the cars in the parking lot to come inside to start producing more gatling laser turrets so I could upgrade the defenses of my home even further.

 

As soon as I finished issuing that new order I made my way to the manufacturing area of my home and got to work modifying the power armor power systems for the next few hours before I got something to eat. When I was finished eating I made a call with my encrypted radio and spent the next 10 minutes talking to Amata.

 

After I finished my conversation with Amata I walked back to the manufacturing area and started modifying one of the power armor frames and adjusting it for my size since none of the frames would currently fit me. Sometime later I was finished with that so I spent what little time I had left before bed fabricating power armor for the next few hours though I was only able to get a few pieces of the set done before I headed to bed for some much-needed sleep.
