The holographic screen changes once again showing me my skills along with the ability to tag 3 of them as well as some information pertaining to what other benefits tagging provides.

Other Information: Tagged skills increase at double the rate of untagged skills.

Well, that’s unusual, normally you just get a +15 to whatever skill and that’s it but I do recall that being a thing back in the older Fallout games. Hmm if that double rate is going to be a thing then that changes things significantly from what I would normally go for, let me think for a moment.

After thinking for quite some time I came up with a few ideas. The first idea I came up with is I could go the intelligence and knowledge route which would consist of Medicine, Repair, and Science. I can see many different benefits from choosing those 3 such as increasing the speed of knowledge acquisition, surgery, any other medical-related task, drug synthesis, crafting, and repairing gear and the main one would be research/technological breakthroughs but this is a long game set of skills, although I have nothing but time since I plan to spend at least 6 years in here.

The second set of skills I came up with would be a pure combat set. Based around Energy Weapons but can be interchanged with Guns, Explosives, and Melee Weapons to even it off in case I was out of ammo or don’t want to fire.

The benefits are obvious and don’t really need to be stated but the demerit is they can’t be properly utilized till I get out of the vault other than melee. I also believe it would be difficult to convince the overseer even though I’ve grown on him and he doesn’t seem to have that stick up his ass as he did in the game or the head of vault security to give me a firearm to shoot at the firing range since I only just turned 10. So probably won’t choose this set but there is the Tag! perk that I can get later on when I reach the required level.

The third one I thought would be pretty decent would be a stealth set involving the skills Guns, Melee Weapons, and Sneak. But this also has similar problems as the combat set above, it can’t be properly utilized till I’m out of the vault since there’s not a large need for stealth right now.

But I could see myself sneaking around with a stealth boy through a raider hideout at night slitting their throats while they slept or high as shit on whatever drug they managed to get their hands on or planting explosives rigged to a detonator for shits and giggles. It would be cool if I wasn’t stuck in a vault at the moment.

Now onto the last set, I could think of would be to go a more peaceful/social route centered around Barter, Speech, and Guns or Energy Weapons. Although it would probably be very helpful here to deal with the different residents that have power or things I want, I won’t be staying here forever since there are many opportunities to be had out in the wasteland if you know where to look.

I give my ideas a once over in my head and decide that going the intelligence/knowledge route is probably the best decision I can make for now, since I will have 6 years at least to make substantial progress with. I can also probably start my own small lab and workshop with the help of dad. Also getting help from the overseer will be essential if I want to reach that goal but it shouldn’t be too hard if I keep buttering him up along with continuing to get closer with Amata.

As for the skill points, I really have anything that’s of immediate concern other than having to convince others to let me do certain things, so I’ll just dump them into speech.

I then finalize my selection of Medicine, Repair, and Science while also dumping the skill points from the level up into speech, when the holographic screen changes back to the normal view of my Pip-Boy screen along with a shit load of notifications and an overload of information being crammed into my head.

I take a moment to adjust to all the new information I’ve just been blasted with and look over the holographic Pip-Boy screen and see I have 2 new perks called Bronze Physique and Human Supercomputer. I then select them to see what they do and man am I surprised about some of the benefits but some of the other benefits I’ve already noticed.

| Bronze Physique | Requirements 11 Endurance: You’ve surpassed human limitations for endurance, now your body has the toughness and resilience of bronze +1 DT for every point of endurance as well as increasing the formula for health from 20 to 30. Along with doubled stamina and reducing the amount of sleep needed from 8 to 4 hours.

| Human Supercomputer | Requirements 11 Intelligence: You’ve surpassed human limitations for intelligence, you’ve now developed photographic memory, as well as an increase in experience gain from 3% to 5% for every point in intelligence but also an increase in processing power and negating any negative xp gains.

What a huge upgrade to my capabilities, especially the DT and the decrease in the amount of sleep my body will need in the future. I can already see myself using that time for all sorts of other things, like crafting the gear I will need to kill mole rats with relative safety.

Next on the agenda are the shit load of notifications for new quests, I select the Many In Progress tab and see why I pinged to oblivion.

Quests In Progress:

| Surpass Your Human Physical Limits | Objectives: Reach a SPECIAL value of 11 in every stat.

Rewards: New Perk?, 10,000 exp and 10 SPECIAL points.

| Save dad | Objectives: Prevent the death of your father James Watson Woods.

Rewards: New Perk? and 5,000 exp.

| Seeker Of Knowledge | Objectives: Continue to hover up all knowledge in the vault library till there is nothing left. Rewards: 3 Intelligence Points and 2,500 exp.

| It’s Hunten Season | Objectives: Convince your dad to let you enter into the vault mines. Rewards: 3 Speech points and 500 exp.

| Take Over The RobCo Facility | Objectives: Clear out all hostile forces and setup shop. Rewards: Perk RobCo Certified, 5 Science Points, 2,000 exp.

| Take Over Raven Rock | Objectives: …

| Orbital …

Well, there are quite a lot of quests there and it looks like I’ll be able to level a decent amount down here. I know |It’s Hunten Season| will be my priority when time resumes but that will come after finishing my birthday and I need to stop that damn Andy from fucking my cake up and ruining my party.

I do a once over everything to see if I missed anything and everything looks good. So I close out the holographic screen for the Pip-Boy and time resumes once again, damn it felt like I was in there for hours.
