Yeah skills are progressing nicely and quite a few of them are close to 50, I think I’ll prioritize those that are closest to 50 just to even them out, then I will focus on lockpick since that skill is quite useful and I might be able to grind out some xp on it or possibly none, will have to see.

Moving on down to perks which I don’t seem to have any at the moment, though I thought I would since some of my specials are at or above 10, well maybe leveling up once will fix that.

Then there are mutations that I don’t recall at all so that must be new, wonder how that will work. Lastly, quests and I somehow have 1 to turn in, I then select the ready-to-turn quests, and the holographic screen changes to show.

Quests ready to turn: 1

| Everything Starts With The Pip-Boy | Objectives: Obtain a Pip-Boy, any variant.

Rewards: Access to perks, Tag 3 Skills, and 200 exp.

I go over the quest and know that this quest never existed. I also don’t recall any of the mods I had been using, adding a quest like this. But not complaining though since I will get a level and perks after turning it in, though it would’ve sucked not being able to gain any levels till I left the vault. I then select the quest so I can turn it in and the Fallout 3 level-up sound starts playing and the holographic screen changes again to a level-up menu with a long list of perks.

After giving the list of perks a look over, a few stand out to me, First would be Ambidextrous which I can see many uses for such as anytime I’m crafting something, the ability to dual wield melee weapons or smaller ranged weapons like pistols, machine pistols, submachine guns, short-barreled shotguns, some short-barreled rifles and possibly some light machine guns if I have the strength to reliably hold them up and can hold the guns on target. I could also see it being helpful in the bedroom.

The second one that stood out to me would have to be Daddy’s Boy, specifically because I would make it easier to convince dad about certain things, such as letting me do some more dangerous things like going to the vault mines to kill mole rats and trying to convince him to change his plans of leaving the vault to work on project purity since just creating fresh water isn’t going to solve the world’s problems at all and it would also just paint a giant target on your back.

Third would have to be Hunter, since that +75% increase in critical damage would be huge for taking mole rats down but that would rely on me convincing dad to let me go into the vault mines, which I haven’t been able to do so far, unfortunately. Also now that I think of it Heave, Ho! would also work well with it since a 50% increase in velocity and range would just increase damage even more against mole rats plus making spears and javelins is pretty simple as it’s just a pole with a sharp metal tip on the end but that would just be overkill for now.

The fourth perk that caught my attention would be junk rounds and man is there a lot of junk that gets recycled in vault 101 since there are more than 10,000 vault dwellers and counting at this time. I could very easily just skim some junk off the top and start stockpiling ammo with this perk.

Lastly would be Swift Learner since a 10% increase in exp and the rate at which I learn would be a massive help with reading all the books in the library but that will have to wait for now since I don’t currently have any way of earning exp right now.

If I want to make any sort of rapid progress right now, I would say being able to convince dad to let me into the mines to hunt is the priority right now, so Daddy’s Boy would be a huge help in that. I then do a once over the perk list and finalize my choice.
