''So it was a trap all along.''

''I knew it, their intentions were never pure to begin with.'' an old man scoffed.

''Are you just going to ignore how he talked about this young master violating multiple girls?'' Sect master of the Pure Blossoms sect sent an icy glare to the old man.

----

Jing and Wang's journey continued as everyone watched. They continued meeting with stronger and older opponents that were the backings of the previous opponents.

''YOU DARE?!''

*Smack*

''You dare!''

*Smack*

''You dare?''

*Smack*

''Y-you... dare?''

*Smack*

All of them met the same fate, being a practice partners for Jing.

''Let's save the City Lord from the trouble and go to him.'' Wang said to Jing as they made their way deeper into the city.

He knew how things would play out, if they didn't deal with the City Lord now, that guy and his servants would come during little Jiang's hardest hours and surround her with her other enemies. Thankfully, history books existed and he could take advantage of them and learn how to act.

'Seriously, if only everyone had the necessary double digit numbered brain cells to see such simple things, books that depict the past are scarce, but they are not non-existent.'

Wang flew towards the City Lord's mansion with Jing following him closely behind, but before even they reached their destination, a middle aged man with an aura of domination around him appeared before them.

Middle aged man had sword like eyebrows, and focused eyes that radiated barely masked killing intent. His robust body was covered with expensive clothes, despite the fact that a finely made white hanfu covered his entire body, any passerby could feel his massive strength.

''You dared to hit my servant?!'' City Lord Jiang said as his mouth barely moved, but his voice was heard by everyone in a kilometer radius.

Jiang He had ruled this city for the last 600 years and he had never seen such a devastating accident happen.

His senses spread outwards and saw the clean streets, 'He didn't even leave their corpses behind...' he thought as he tried to reason in his mind.

'Why would anybody go so far? Did I offend someone? No. I strictly deal with people lower than me, I couldn't rule this city for 600 years if it wasn't for my unique ability to identify hidden bigshots and my great skill at handling those people with care.' he thought as his eyes moved between Wang and his little sister.

''Will you explain yourself?'' he demanded an explanation with threat laced words.

''You wouldn't let us leave if you heard the reason anyways.'' Wang shook his hand as if shooing away worthless thoughts.

A vein popped out of Jiang He's forehead as he tried to keep his anger in control.

'They seem strong, they must have some hidden force behind them. After all, it's impossible for children like them to reach such stages without the help of big clans or sects.'

''I will be merciful and only ask you to kill yourself, your sister can leave after cutting off her four limbs as well.'' he said as he patted himself on the back.

'I already gave so much face to their backing by just asking this much, they should agree now.' he was proud of his diplomatic skills.

''How about if I give you some face and let you kill yourself before you die from embarrassment?'' Wang said with the same smile he always had, except this time his eyes were closed. He looked somewhat creepy with his relaxed manner.

''You wouldn't want some unnamed children to kill you, would you?'' he chuckled as he got closer.

------

''Even if he's our hero now, it's only natural he would have some bad times in the past, it doesn't change the fact that he saved our lives and sacrificed himself.''

''So what if he sacrificed himself? He's still the same demon. He probably killed the Demon Emperor because he didn't want someone else use his nickname.''

''Enough.'' Elder Mo Jang who was silent until now spoke up and silenced everyone.

''It seems like your knowledge is lacking, let me help you. This screen you see right now is called 'Heavenly Merit Acquisition'. It happens only after someone has lived hundred lives with good karma and finished them with incredible amounts of good karma compared to their bad karma. Even if he's doing this now, he must have done significant good deeds after this and saved millions of lives, otherwise, it would be impossible for him to gain the Heaven's recognition.'' Elder Mo Jang explained slowly as everyone focused on him.

Hearing his words, a bunch of people started shouting in agreement, whether they actually agreed or they just wanted to suck up to him was unknown.

''Yeah, we don't know the situation properly anyways! Maybe this city lord is secretly evil? Sometimes, things are much easier than they look.''

''Just look at that kind face! Could that kid ever hurt a person? If he ever does that, it would be a bad person!''

While everyone outside the screen were discussing about Wang's actions, Wang's last reincarnation himself was awkwardly sitting with a confused face.

''Um, wasn't I supposed to be a hero?''

''I wanted to see myself save some people or something, not destroy for revenge.''

''This Hundred Reincarnations Technique only worked because I finished a hundred lives with good Karma one after another. It seems like I at least did some redemption or something, or maybe killing bad people gives me Karma?''

''Ugh, whatever. My understanding of Karma isn't good enough. No, my understanding of life itself isn't good enough. But both of these problems will be solved easily if I just keep experiencing my past lives and I will gain enough understanding about Karma and Life.''

In the end, he just shook his head and blamed his 18 year old self. It couldn't be helped, in this last reincarnation of his, he didn't have much experience in life and spent most of his time cultivating or helping random people.

''Yep, I'm definitely not a hypocrite. It's just that I don't understand enough to see myself as the hero hahahaha!'' he tried to convince himself as he patted his own back.
