Jiang He, ruler of the Blue Crow City.

His rule over the city started just when he reached his 70th birthday.

600 years.

600 whole years he ruled it in silence. The city grew only a little, but it was known as one of the safest and most peaceful cities in the region simply due to Jiang He's careful planning and talking skills.

''Is this really how it ends?'' Jiang He thought in despair. Did he own this city for so long, only for it to end like this?

''Don't worry, the city will be fine.'' Wang said with a smile.

''We came here to get rid of the disease, not the whole body.''

''You are getting rid of the brain! Do you know what will happen once I'm gone? Chaos! Chaos it is!'' Jiang screamed in agony.

''Can it get any worse than it's now?''

''What do you mean 'any worse'? There haven't been any wars since I've gotten on the throne. There is rule and order in this city that everyone follows!''

Wang looked at him as if he was looking at an idiot, then his gaze turned into a look of pity.

''You little idiot... You actually don't see it?'' he turned back to his sister as he pointed at Jiang He ''This is called wearing rose tinted glasses. No, that's not entirely correct. This is more like... seeing things only the way you want to see them? I can't seem to remember an idiom about that.'' he shook his head in shame.

Wang turned his head to Jiang He, ''Peace? Your so called peace has brought nothing but discrimination and suffering... Wow, preaching like this makes me feel like shit so I will cut it short. Thanks to your 'bully the weak, suck up to the strong' belief, all of the city runs that way. Weak people have little to no right and even some nobody can just commit whatever crime he wishes if he's strong enough. It's disgusting and I hate it.''

''B-''

''I know it's not my place to think about such things, I normally don't do that either. This should be none of my business. But it's hard to ignore it when your own sister almost suffers from it, you know. I don't like being this 'I'm more righteous than you, I know better than you' guy, but whatever. I'm not really trying to be a hero or something here. To be honest, my motives are more on the selfish side since I probably wouldn't stick my nose in this if my sister wasn't affected by it.''

''See, I told you he was doing a good thing.'' Lord of the Eternal Fire Palace nodded to himself.

''If what he is doing is good, then someone can just come and massacre all the weak cities to gain good karma. Isn't this how most of the cities work anyways?'' Lord Ao Bi protested. His cousin had an extremely similar city to this Jiang He guy. This guy was basically calling his cousin a villain.

''Duty or responsibility of judging such things doesn't fall on us-''

''Then who does it fall to? We are all the leaders of our respective species and lords of our own sects and clans. If we're not to judge who is good and who is not, then who will? This young man just showed us something so simple yet obvious. It was right in front of our eyes, yet we failed to- no, we refused to see it.''

''Are you saying that we have been ruling our cities wrong for generations?'' an unknown lord said with a threatening edge in his voice. ''Do you want us to change our values and traditions coming from ages ago just because of one bad example?''

''Our society has been blooming only thanks to this system. Strong eats the weak, so everyone has a reason to be stronger. That's how things have always been, because it's the best and most efficient way of raising natural warriors. If the weak and the strong are equal, then why would our warriors waste their time on practicing, why would they risk their lives on the battlefield?'' the unknown voice made his image clear, an old man with unwavering eyes, a long white beard, and a straight and powerful body that betrayed its age. Nobody would believe that he was old if it wasn't for the wrinkly skin that almost seemed to rot on his body.

''Young man on the screen said it right. Our society isn't exactly 'friendly to the weak', but even he acknowledged that it wasn't his place to judge and execute someone over it. He only went that far because he was protective of his sister.'' owner of the voice finished as everyone realized who he was.

Peak Dao stage cultivator, Emperor of the Shadowy Nether Inferno Palace. He was one of the most powerful being, just under the Empresses of the Universe. Seeing how old he looked despite his cultivation stage made it clear just how old he was, after all, Dao stage was just under the peak of this Universe, Emperor stage.

'Wisdom comes with age, if even he thinks like that, I can't say anything over it.' opposing voice quickly gave up on the protest after seeing his opponent.

''In short, we just need to become murderhobos to gain massive amounts of good karma due to our society?'' a brave, or stupid, young master spoke up before he got whacked in the head by his father.
