Nero stepped out of the fighter's hallway. He walked onto the central arena.

It was a large, wide, open area with concrete flooring.

The cheering of the crowd drowned out Nero's thoughts as he scanned the entire crowd. He spotted Alura and Emi a little later. Both of them sat down and prepared to nervously watch the duel.

"I am glad that you showed up, Nero," said a voice.

Nero turned his head to the left and saw Julia, who was equipped in her usual armor that she wore in the dungeon.

Well, we did agree on a place and time, so it would be rude not to show up. You don't say?"

Julia smiled, "Good now, let's have an honorable duel."

Nero chuckled a bit, "I guess that goes against my plans to win by cheating."

Julia then drew her blade with her right hand. 

Nero stared at the weapon, which was similar to a rapier but with a slightly wider blade, which was light grey, and a baby blue rose hilt.

He smiled a bit, and drew the weapon that he picked up a few moments ago from the weapons room, which was the saber.

A man in his mid-forties approached the two of them. It was the match official.

He spoke to both of them, "This match ends when a person draws blood or a person submits. I want a nice and safe duel. "

Both of them then touched swords, then walked back to their original spots.

Draven, who stood in the hallway where Julia came out from, looked on and said in his mind, "The captain has this, too bad Blade and Bane aren't in the city right now to witness this."

Meanwhile, in the crowd area, Emi said "Well, the match is about to start."

Alura smiled, "I am sure Mr. Nero will win somehow."

Back to the central arena.

Julia pointed her blade towards Nero, who then took a defensive stance.

At a moment's notice, she appeared in front of him, thrusting her blade. Nero barely countered the attack by using the flat side of the saber to block the incoming thrust, then pushed Julia back a bit.

"Hmm, your reaction time isn't bad, but that was just a test shot, so let the real battle begin."

At a moment's notice again, Julia appeared in front of  and continuously thrust her blade at him. Nero just barely kept up with the attacks.

The crowd went wild with that.

Draven said, with a shocked expression, "He shouldn't be able to counter that. It would have been too fast for him."

Alura said, with a surprised tone of voice, "Mr. Nero, is that fast?"

Emi, "Nero's speed is good, but what you saw there was his skill "Mana Enhancement' and for him to use it, that means that Julia's last strike would have connected."

Julia, who is still crossing swords with Nero, "I see that you predicted the side I would attack from."

Nero, "Of course I did; that flicker technique is my sister's."

Julia, "Well, I do look up to her sister. After all, she is 'White Flash' and nobody else is faster than her in this city.

Nero slightly smirked when he heard that, "Now let me show you what the flicker technique is really supposed to do."

Nero disappeared. Julia looked around and said in her mind, "He's going to attack from my blind spot as well," then prepared to guard.

When suddenly, Nero appeared from the other side, forcing her to evade the attack, then he disappeared again and kept the attacks up.

Julia evaded every single one of them.

Nero appeared above her and came down with a slash, but Julia jumped backwards.

"The flicker is a chain attack used to put the enemy on the ropes before going into a kill strike, but the downside is that if one attack is blocked, then the chain attack is compromised."

Julia panted and said, "Well, it seems I am being given a lesson right now."

Nero took a defensive sword stance again.

"When it comes to my sister, I will accept nothing but the absolute best."

Both people then rushed towards each other to continue their duel.
