A Continent called Winterland is a majestic place.
It is a place where it snows every day of the year— there isn't summer, autumn, or spring.
Only winter.
Isaac lives in a city called Snowstar, and it is part of Winterland, or more precisely, part of a country called Starshow.
But we are not talking about Snowstar now.
A Capital Country of Winterland is called Iceshow.
In the Iceshow, the most beautiful city in the world is located.
That city is called White Paradise.
Legacy Company's Headquarters is located in White Paradise.
White Paradise was a beautiful city, surrounded by a clear icy lake, and the buildings were made of beautiful blue and white marbles. Snow is covering the ground and the buildings, making the scene mesmerizing.
The city was surrounded by a large snowy forest, with mountains in the distance, making the view look absolutely stunning.
In the middle of the White Paradise, the Legacy Company's Headquarters are located.
The Legacy Company's Headquarters was a massive skyscraper, with 100 floors at least.
It is the tallest building in White Paradise and very beautiful as well.
Currently, on the top floor of the Legacy Company's Headquarters.
Thousands of screens were shown, while hundreds of workers were typing their keyboards without stopping.
In the middle of the room, a middle-aged man with short black hair and exhausting-looking was standing peacefully. His face was handsome, but it looked very weary, and dirty. Obviously haven't showered in some time.
He is the President of Legacy Company and the main creator of the game called White Online.
His name is Arthur Welhenheim.
He was scanning all the screens simultaneously— he is also one of the smartest individuals in the world, with an IQ of 230.
*Creak*
The door to the top floor was opened, and a middle-aged woman with dozen other individuals with business suits walked in.
''Arthur.'' The middle-aged woman said with a smile. She had beautiful long blond hair with strikingly beautiful blue eyes, like peerless gems. Her body was voluptuous, with long legs and smooth-looking thighs. She is Arthur's Secretary, Emilia.
Arthur didn't even look at them, ''What do you want?''
''The Board of Directors are here,'' Emilia said with a wry smile— she feels like a headache is about to come.
Arthur glanced at them and said, ''Fuck off.''
''You can't talk to us like that!'' One of the Directors shouted with a red face.
Arthur turned his head, ''I have not slept for three days, and finally, the day of release is here. I am sorry that I am not in the mood to entertain you, but I am needed here if something goes wrong. So, can you people, kindly fuck off?''
He turned around to look at the screens once again, ignoring the angry Board of Directors.
Emilia facepalmed, she turned towards the angry Directors and smiled, ''Arthur is not feeling well, let's have a meeting next week, shall we?''
The Board of Directors gritted their teeth and left the room.
Emilia walked next to Arthur, ''Shouldn't you have said it in a slightly kinder tone?''
Arthur didn't change his expression, ''I said sorry.''
Emilia sighed.
''Is everything going alright?'' Emilia asked.
Arthur nodded, ''I have seen a few interesting things. A few hours ago, one player refused Legacy Quest.''
Emilia widened her eyes in shock, ''How could someone be that stupid?''
Arthur chuckled, ''Not sure was he stupid... That Legacy was Vaulon's.''
''The Untrustworthy Swordsman? I see...'' Emilia nodded her head.
''It is only Ordinary Legacy and very weak one as well.''
Arthur pondered for a few moments, ''The 10 Kings and Queens are doing as expected. They have already left the Newbie Village behind and entered the Starting City.''
''Did anyone else get Legacy?''
Arthur nodded, ''Few are doing their Quests right now, but it will take a quite long time before they finish them. Their Stats are poor.''
Emilia nodded, ''What about the Gods... How are they reacting?''
Arthur shrugged, ''Excited, as always... But for some reason, Khione, the Goddess of Snow, has been very angry.''
Emilia paled, ''Someone made her angry?! Who was stupid enough to do that?!''
Arthur shrugged, ''No idea... We couldn't look at their meetings with fated players.''
''How many players were chosen as candidates for Godly Legacies?''
''125,'' Arthur said.
''More than anticipated.''
Arthur nodded, ''That's why they are excited.''
Emilia saw his fatigued face, ''Arthur, shouldn't you sleep?''
Arthur shook his head, ''The first day is the most important. I need to see it through.''
Emilia shook her head and started walking towards the door.
But before that, she took a last look at Arthur and said with a caring face, ''Get some rest later.''
Arthur didn't answer— instead, he nodded and kept looking at the screens.
Emilia sadly smiled and entered the elevator.
Arthur's eyelids started getting heavier, but then a loud shout was heard.
''President!'' One of the workers shouted.
Arthur opened his eyes, ''Yes?''
''Khione wants to talk to you!''
Arthur sighed, ''Put it on the screen.''
The thousands of screens went black, and soon a face of peerless beauty was shown on the screen, but she had a very cold-looking face, but her eyes were filled with anger.
''Arthur!'' Khione screamed.
Arthur and all the workers bowed deeply.
''Goddess Khione, how may I help you?'' Arthur asked.
''Who was the Player I talked with?! I need the name!'' Khione gritted her teeth hatefully.
Arthur sweatdropped, ''I don't know Goddess Khione. The Gods had forbidden us to watch any of the meetings.''
Khione crossed her arms, ''Are you telling me... That I can't get my revenge?!''
Arthur wiped his sweat, ''W-What did he do to upset you, Goddess Khione?''
''He made fun of me!'' Khione screamed.
Arthur almost faceplanted on the ground.
But he was soon saved.
''Khione, GET BACK HERE!'' A loud shout was heard from the screen.
Khione paled, ''But... Dad!''
Boreas came and dragged her away from the screen.
He politely smiled, ''I am sorry for this inconvenience, Arthur, you must be busy.''
After that, the screen went black once again.
Arthur's eyebrow twitched, ''Who the hell was stupid enough to anger Goddess of Snow?''
