It’s a pity that nothing registered in Jiang Yunshu’s ears. Using the last vestige of reason he had left, he grabbed Bai Tang by the waist and nearly flung him out the door, demonstrating no compassion for the fairer sex.
“Ah!” Bai Tang’s buttocks smacked the ground, and his shoulder collided with the wall. He wasn’t able to stand up for a moment because of the agony in his tailbone.
“Go back to your room and wait for Zhou Zhaoyu.” Jiang Yunshu closed the door with a loud bang and locked it after saying these authoritative words. He also hauled the table and chairs to block the door to keep himself from rushing out. The floorboard had two white drag marks and was cluttered with broken cups, spreading water stains, and paper rolls. It was a total disaster.
Bai Tang’s eyes were welling up with tears. He stayed on the ground, his gaze absentmindedly fixed on the closed door. He crawled up with his hands and feet on the ground after a while, placed it on the door, and anxiously yelled, “Wait! Just hold on!”
At the same time, the phone in his pocket rang, and two bright lights shone through the window, blinding Bai Tang’s pupils. He regained his composure and pressed the answer button.
It was Zhou Zhaoyu. “Bai Tang, come out.”
“B-But,” Bai Tang turned his head to stare again at the closed door, muttering as if he had lost his soul, “No he, he’s not him, I-“
“Bai Tang,” Zhou Zhaoyu’s voice was very calm, yet somehow persuasive. “Jiang Yunsu is now in his rut. Staying there isn’t good for either of you. Come out first, and we’ll talk about it later.”
Bai Tang’s fast and erratic breathing could be heard inside the enormous house. He struggled to his feet after a long silence. “O-okay, I’ll come out.”
Zhou Zhaoyu scowled quietly and leaned against the car door. The pheromones released by the alpha could be sensed from such a great distance even when they were in an open area where there was circulating air. One could imagine how terrifying the inside of the house would be.
After some time, he noticed a frail figure hobbling out with a tiny bag.
“Bai Tang.” When Zhou Zhaoyu saw his situation fully, his brows were so furrowed that they could practically kill flies.
He noticed Bai Tang’s garments casually heaped together. The pants were rolled up on one side and trailed to the ground on the other. His hair was dishevelled, complexion pale and bloodless; his lips were dry and cracked, his eyes red and puffy, and the tears on his face hadn’t dried. The most noticeable feature was a ring of purple scarring around his neck. There were bloodstains everywhere. It looked worse than refugees who had fled a war.

“What happened?” Qin Zhongnan, who was in the driver’s seat, scowled as well.
Zhou Zhaoyu shook his head. “I don’t know. You remain inside and put an extra patch.”
He ripped the pheromone patch from Bai Tang’s nape, exposing the wound. Canine teeth had created two tiny holes. The bite was deep, similar to a vampire bite, and blood was seeping out.
Zhou Zhaoyu looked down and observed that Bai Tang’s legs and even his loose pants were still shaking.
All of a sudden, “Yo?! What kind of luck is this, meeting two omegas at once?!”
When Bai Tang and Zhou Zhaoyu heard the voice, they turned to see a scruff alpha with a limping figure behind him.
“Scram,” Zhou Zhaoyu coldly said, turning his head to the side.
“Someone’s in heat?!” The alpha stepped closer and took a deep breath. He smiled excitedly, but then his expression changed, and then he arrogantly released his pheromone to try to suppress the omega. “Why does it smell like a feral dog?! Little whore came out to flaunt herself?! How many have you fucked, shit!”
“Y-You’re sick!” Bai Tang was taken off guard and was engulfed by the pheromone of another alpha. He turned his head and retched a few times, almost collapsing on the ground.
The figure chasing him behind him appeared to be an omega. His legs were at an awkward angle. When he spotted Bai Tang and Zhou Zhaoyu, he quickly seized the apha’s sleeves. “Master master, let’s go back.”
“Get the fuck out of Laozi’s way!” yelled the alpha, pushing the omega back and stepping on his ankle with one foot. “Disgusting thing!”

The omega let out a piercing cry.
Zhou Zhaoyu clenched his fists. His voice was so cold as he addressed the scumbag, “You.”
“Ah!” The alpha also suddenly screamed.
While Qin Zhongnan’s lips were smiling, his eyes were not. The veins in his hand that rested on the alpha’s shoulder swelled. “Scram.”
The alpha covered his own shoulders and stormed away cursing. He kicked the omega on the ground before leaving.
The omega who had just stood up fell back to the ground. The cold sweat on his face soaked his hair. He stood up again and hurriedly limped to catch up.
Zhou Zhaoyu calmed down, stooped down slightly, and asked, “Do you need any help?”
Unexpectedly, the omega glanced at him with animosity and anger in his eyes. “No need! I don’t need help, y-you guys go away! How can you so casually grip others! “
They all stared at the staggering omega’s fragile back, until his figure steadily faded.
“Let’s go,” Zhou Zhaoyu spoke first, breaking the silence. “This type of person can’t be saved.”

After Bai Tang left, Jiang Yunshu slept. After 20 minutes, he woke up and found that his head didn’t seem to be so painful anymore. He didn’t know if it was because he got used to the pain to the point of being numb. He didn’t remember much about what happened before. He only remembered that Bai Tang came to his room, he took a bite of the other party in a fit of anger, and Bai Tang seemed to have said something.
Jiang Yunshu couldn’t remember. He heaved a deep sigh, got out of bed and started to clean up the mess on the ground. He picked up the phone on the floor, its cracked screen resembling a flower. Fortunately, it still worked. Zhou Zhaoyu sent him a message saying that they had arrived safely.
Jiang Yunshu replied with two words, “Thank you”. He went downstairs and walked around. He closed all the windows. When he saw the empty garden, he felt a bit complex. “Why didn’t you leave me the dog?”
Back in the room, he found Lin Baizhou’s phone number, and after the call got through, he said, “Doctor, my rut is here.”
The other side was quiet for a few seconds, then exploded, “Fuck, what’s the point of telling me that it arrived! I’m an alpha!”
Lin Baizhou shivered. “What, were you so excited for your very first rut period? Were you moved to the point of tears that you wanted to call me specifically to inform me?”
“No.” Jiang Yunshu’s head began to hurt considerably more. He inhaled deeply. “I’d like to know if there’s anything that can help the throbbing pain I’ve been experiencing. It’s affecting my ability to think clearly and it will affect my speed of doing questions.”
The other side was quiet for a few seconds. “Can’t you fucking rest?”
Jiang Yunshu opened his notebook and found three unfinished tasks in it. “I need to finish today’s tasks before going to bed.”
“You’re stubborn.” Lin Baizhou asked, “Where’s Bai Tang?”
Jiang Yunshu said, “Went to a friend’s house to stay for a few days.”
“Mm, it would indeed be better to be separated in this case.” Lin Baizhou spoke. “There’s no medication that can alleviate or suppress an alpha’s rut.”
As he listened, Jiang Yunshu wiped the dried blood on the back of his right hand with cotton. “Mhm.”
“Only omega pheromones will make an alpha feel better,” said Lin Baizhou. “Of course, under the premise that you have an omega. Conversely, alphas with omegas who enter rut will have it harder than a single, unmarried alpha. During my rut, I usually play games at home to divert my attention.”
Jiang Yunshu, “Is there anything I need to pay attention to in terms of diet?”
“No,” Lin Baizhou responded. “But I suggest you not eat spicy food. Once, the thought of fighting poison with poison got through my head, and I was so irritable that I knocked my head against the wall.”
Jiang Yunshu looked at the wound on the back of his hand. It wasn’t big, just a small gash, but the bruise looked quite scary. He was struck speechless when he heard Lin Baizhou’s words. “Okay. There’s still a question left, the last question on the third set of papers in the 19th year. I took a picture for you. You can take a look.”
Lin Baizhou, “Fuck… You really struck me fucking hopeless.”
