'What's up with that damn man! '
Just after entering her room, Catherine supported her back on the door whilst she thought about the ordeal that took place in the reception hall.
She just couldn't figure out what that man would get after calling himself her husband. She just couldn't accept this!
She admits that the flashing memories she has been dreaming since sometimes doesn't seem to be an effect of any Mind Interference spell but that doesn't help her heart at all.
She has ways to counter any kind of magical construction directed at her without her knowledge which further implies that she wasn't getting manipulated.
But to think that she married a man who has no name or feat achieved in current times and who has just above-average weapon techniques?
Well, she does admit that his face is just as to her liking but that wouldn't be enough to make her marry him!
'Even I married you… how dare you let me die like that… '
Not knowing what was going on with this rambling between her heart and mind, Catherine slid on the door before she plopped down on the ground.
Her moistened gaze fell on her knuckles which were tainted red after she beat Ethan to a half-dead state.
There was a part of her that loathes such action and tells her what she did was utterly shameful and unforgivable. But on the other hand, she thought it was okay to hurt the one who possibly could kill her.
'Then why did he say something like that… and why do I feel like this….'
It might be over a decade since tears have been shed from the talented and brave Catherine Winster's eyes.
She doesn't know how she should feel at the moment or what she should do with her stupid heart which couldn't help but recklessly beat for that man.
'I am such a sore loser….. '

The next day in [S] unit of the first year, it was a regular morning just like any other day.
The students were walking in and out while chatting in their groups. Most of the students were talking about the recruitment event which would be happening soon.
All the houses appoint new members from the first year after the half semester which passed just two weeks ago.
Most people want to get admitted into Violet House or the Sage house. The first one was famous for its president, Catherine, and the latter was desired by students to get closer to the Royal Family.
Gisele has no plan on joining any house at the moment since she has already made some necessary connections and other than that, the olive-haired healer required nothing.
"It sure is noisy today, isn't it Lady Gisele?"
Nelson, who got up early today so he could get his seat before Ethan arrives, spoke in a slightly energetic tone. Trying to be friendly but other than a dry humm from Gisele, he got nothing.
After yesterday's incident, Nelson apologized to Gisele after he met her in the morning, but she was the same cold and indifferent toward him, like yesterday's reaction was expressed by someone else.
But in reality, Gisele wasn't calm and occupied with herself at all. She was constantly glancing at the entrance with her heart racing at an unusual pace.

Catherine and Sasha already have asked her twice whether Ethan arrived or not implying that they both had worries despite not admitting it.
But even though the class was just about to start, there was no sign of Ethan.
'Did something happen after I left… '
The thought was plausible and scary. Ethan's condition by no means was settling and Gisele had no way of asking whether he was good or not.
The previous night when she last saw him, he was bruised all over with a few broken bones and ribs. There might be internal bleeding too which who knows how long would have clotted inside…
Gisele's mind fell into chaos as she thought about the possible scenarios before her arms began to tremble slightly and her eyes wandered over her book whilst she thought about what she was supposed to do.
"Ah, Ethan? What happened to you?"
Her head reflexively turned toward the entrance as she heard the voice of a female calling the name Gisele chanting like a mantra inside her mind.
Fortunately, it was the same person she expected as he walked inside while struggling a little with his left leg.
There were some bandages over his nose and brows but other than that, he seemed fine.
Gisele finally leaned back on her seat as an audible sigh of relief left her lips. She absolutely can't recall when was the last time she got so worked up for someone like today.
Some of those who know Ethan surrounded him and started asking about his condition and how he got so beaten up.
The most plausible deduction they land upon was centered on Nelson who might have targeted Ethan after yesterday's seat incident.
"No, it's not like that. I just tripped in the bathroom."
The expression on the people around Ethan was far from being convinced but before anyone could have said anything further, a tall bulky man entered inside the class with audible boot-clanking steps.
"I would appreciate it if everyone take their seats."
Due to the identity of the person, everyone except for Ethan was stunned in their places before the man spoke in a heavy tone, bringing the students back to their senses.
Wordlessly, everyone took their seats, including Ethan after he smiled at Gisele for a glance. Gisele didn't let it become obvious but that single smile was incredibly dangerous to be caught in with.
Focusing her gaze back on the burly man who was wearing a Grand Order uniform, Gisele as well as others heard something completely out of the blue.
"This is an announcement related to the depletion of Veil."
