[In the sacred forest, the gigantic spirit creature violently charges at Kazuki and tries to devour him.]

     Kazuki - MOON KINETIC ARTS!

              SIXTH STYLE!

              BURSTING...

[Kazuki lifts his blade up in the air.]

     Kazuki - CRESCEEENTS...!!!

[Kazuki violently swings his sword down, unleashing a powerful moon kinetic arts attack that blows the spirit creature to pieces, ending it once and for all.]

[As the mist slowly clears out. Kazuki drops his sword and falls to the ground while breathing heavily.]

     Kazuki - ...Urk!

              Kuh...!

       Kaya - Kazuki!

     Kazuki - Oh!

              Kaya?!

              Dwahh!

[Kaya runs towards Kazuki and hugs him, causing him and her to fall to the ground.]

     Kazuki - Ugh!

[Kaya breaks down in tears.]

       Kaya - Thank God!

              Thank God you're

              alright!

              I'm so glad you're

              alright.

[Kaya burries her face in Kazuki's chest, making Kazuki smile and pet her head.]

     Kazuki - It's alright, Kaya.

              I made a promise

              to you, remember?

       Kaya - Oh?

     Kazuki - I promised i'd protect

              you no matter what.

[Kazuki cleans the tears from Kaya's cheeks.]

     Kazuki - Knowing you and sensei

              were waiting for me

              was enough to push me

              forward.

              At that point, i knew

              failing wasn't an

              option anymore.

[Kaya smiles and gently rests her head on Kazuki's chest.]

       Kaya - ...You really are a

              cool guy.

     Kazuki - Heh?

       Kaya - Nothing.

              I'm just glad you're

              okay.

[Kazuki smiles.]

     Kazuki - Me too.

[After a while, Mira walks over to Kazuki and Kaya.]

     Kazuki - Oh?

       Kaya - Oh?

     Kazuki - Sensei!

[Mira stops and looks at a freakishly giant tree, broken from Kazuki's attack.]

     Kazuki - Ah! Wait!

              I've been fighting

              nothing but a giant

              tree this whole time?!

[Mira sighs as her head droops down.]

       Mira - Honestly...

              I really hoped you'd

              never get this far.

              You may be ready to

              participate in the

              Entrance Exam.

              However...

              That doesn't mean

              you're guaranteed to

              survive it!

     Kazuki - Ah!

       Mira - Believe me...

              I know.

     Kazuki - Oh...

       Mira - I didn't want you to

              get this far...

              Because i didn't want

              you to die.

[Tears seep out of Mira's blindfolded eyes and roll down her cheeks.]

     Kazuki - Sensei?!

       Mira - Oh!

[Mira notices the tears on her face and quickly wipes it off. Kazuki and Kaya stand up as she walks closer to them and smiles.]

       Mira - Be it as it may, you

              HAVE completed your

              training.

              In two days, you'll be

              heading to the 

              Sumiwaru Forest where

              you'll participate in

              the Entrance Exam.

              It'll be your Basic

              Conclusion in becoming

              a Xeno Hunter.

[Mira pets Kazuki's head, ruffling his hair.]

       Mira - Well done, Kiboi.

              You're one hell of a

              student.

              Never forget what an

              outstanding man you've

              become.

[Mira places her second hand on Kaya's head and pets it, ruffling her hair.]

       Mira - Kaya...

              You're the only one

              he has left.

              He needs you.

              Only you can truly be

              there to support him

              when he can't stand 

              on his own.

              You're his strength.

              And he is yours.

              As long as i live,

              i'll never let anyone

              speak ill of either of

              you, or your family.

[Mira hugs both of them as they begin to cry.]

       Mira - Make sure you survive

              this, okay?.

[At night at Mira's cabin, Mira throws a party for Kazuki and Kaya.]

       Kaya - Hahahahahahaha!

       Mira - Hahahahahahaha!

    Kaya - {Mouth stuffed with food}

              Mmmmm...!

              incredible cook, Mira!

    Mira - {Mouth stuffed with food}

              Mmm!

[Kazuki watches in amazement as Kaya and Mira each ravenously devour bowls after bowls of food.]

       Kaya - More!!!

       Mira - Comin up!!!

[Kazuki watches as Kaya and Mira ravenously devour more bowls of food each.]

       Kaya - Oh?

              Kazuki, what's wrong?

              I don't hear you

              eating.

     Kazuki - Oh!

              S-Sorry.

              I was just lost in

              thought.

       Mira - Don't be shy, Kiboi.

              There's more than

              enough to go around.

              Besides...

[Mira blushes.]

       Mira - I really wanted to

              cook for YOU for a

              change.

              So i spent a lot of

              time on this just so

              you'd enjoy it.

[Mira gives Kazuki a bowl of food.]

[Kazuki picks up his chopsticks and takes one bite of the food.]

[Mira bashfully smiles and her cheeks grow red.]

[Kazuki begins to heartily eat several bowls after bowls of food, making Mira's smile grow wider.]

               downright incredible.

              [Thoughts]

               Day after day,

               you endured so much

               hellish training

               for three whole

               years!

[Kazuki quickly bows his head.]

              anymore.

     Kazuki - Ah!

[Kazuki's face saddens as he lifts his head up.]

       Mira - Oh?

              What's wrong?

     Kazuki - I-Its nothing.

[A devious and seductive smirk grows on Mira's face.]

       Mira - Hohooo...

              I see.

              Don't tell me you

              LIKE being my

              student.

              Kiboi!

              You naughty little

              boy!

[Kazuki blushes in embarrassment.]

     Kazuki - Ah!

              Th-That's not it.

       Mira - Hooohh...!

              Or could it be you're

              afraid you'll never

              never get to see me

              again?

              Is that why you're so

              sad.

[Mira moves uncomfortably too close to Kazuki and points a knife at him.]

       Mira - Well...

              Is it?

     Kazuki - Grrr!

              Knock it off!

              It's not funny!

              Watch the knife!

[Kaya continues to eat without minding Mira teasing Kazuki. Mira's cat walks over to Kaya and she gives it some of her food.]

       Mira - Ahahahahahahaha!

[Mira firmly Karate chops Kazuki's head.]

     Kazuki - Urk!

       Mira - Don't be an idiot,

              Kiboi.

              You no longer being

              just my student

              doesn't change

              anything between us.

              It only means i now

              view you on a far

              higher level of

              respect.

              So you better get used

              to saying my first

              name more often.

     Kazuki - Oh!

[Mira blushes a little.]

       Mira - To be honest, i do

              prefer it when you

              call me "Mira'.

              So feel free to say it

              as much as you want.

     Kazuki - ...Hmm.

              I will.

       Mira - Good.

       Kaya - Hey, Mira!

              Dance with me!

[Mira and Kaya pick up pairs of maracas and begin to dance with them.]

       Mira - Ahahahahaha...

       Kaya - Ahahahahaha...

[Kazuki smiles.]

     Kazuki - Still, though...

       Mira - Hmm?

     Kazuki - I don't really think

              i'm at level yet of

              having your respect.

[Mira sighs.]

       Mira - Look, Kiboi.

              Nothing vexes me more

              than people who

              downgrade themselves

              too much.

     Kazuki - Oh?

       Mira - One could say you have

              a bad habit of doing

              just THAT.

              Just now, you said you

              weren't at the level

              yet of having my

              respect.

     Kazuki - But-

       Mira - Listen!

              You possess a great

              variety of special

              skills that some

              people could only

              dream of having.

              You can do things that

              some people would call

              near impossible.

              Never let anyone or

              anything make you feel

              like your worthless.

[Mira gently touches Kazuki's hand with her own her.]

       Mira - Because your not.

[Kazuki bashfully smiles.]

     Kazuki - Thank you, Mira.

[Mira smiles back at Kazuki.]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               I guess Mira's cold

               personality only

               surfaces when she's

               lecturing me, huh?

              [Thoughts]

               I knew she was a kind

               person.

              [Thoughts]

               I could already sense

               it from her vibe the

               moment i met her.

              [Thought]

               Though, everytime i

               did sense her vibe,

               there was always this

               great pain and sorrow

               i could feel deep

               inside her.

              [Thoughts]

               I wonder why?

       Kaya - Mooohh...!

              Enough with the

              sweet talk already!

[Kaya childishly clings to Kazuki's arm.]

       Kaya - Kazuki, you never tell

              me all these nice

              things!

     Kazuki - I compliment you all

              the time.

       Kaya - Teeheehee.

     Kazuki - Eh?!

[Kaya strangely staggers and laughs.]

     Kazuki - Kaya, are actually

              drunk?!

       Mira - All i gave her was

              tea and water.

[Kazuki sighs.]

     Kazuki - That's just how much

              of a lightweight she

              is.

              Sometimes you can be

              truly strange, kaya.

              But i do have one

              question though, Mira.

       Mira - What is it?

     Kazuki - Why did you throw this

              party for us in the

              first place?

       Mira - Ah!

              You dunce!

              Hasn't that been

              obvious from the

              start?!!

              You've completed your

              training, so of course

              you deserve a reward!

     Kazuki - Oh, so that's why.

[Mira sighs.]

       Mira - You really are

              clueless sometimes,

              aren't you?

              Although...

     Kazuki - Hmm?

       Mira - You COULD say that

              this party celebrates

              two occasions.

     Kazuki - Really?

              What's the second

              occasion?

       Mira - Your birthdays.

              Kaya and i turn

       Mira - Wow!

     Kazuki - I guess so.

              be celebrating YOUR

              shouldn't it?

[Kazuki's smile grows wider, making Mira blush.]

     Kazuki - So, if you don't mind

              me asking, how old are

              you now anyway, Mira?

[Kaya flicks Kazuki's head with her finger.]

     Kazuki - Urk!

       Kaya - Kazuki!

              Don't you know its

              rude to ask a woman of

              her age!

     Kazuki - Why is that rude?

              I was just curious.

       Mira - I really don't mind

              him asking.

              Hmmm, lets see.

[Kazuki picks up a cup of tea and starts to drink it.]

       Mira - I guess, this year i

              turned nineteen.

[Kazuki is so shocked, he sprays all the tea out of his mouth on Kaya's face.]

     Kazuki - Mira, you're

              nineteen?!

       Mira - Of course.

              Why is that so

              surprising?

     Kazuki - Umm, n-nothing.

       Mira - What?!

              Think i'm too old?!

     Kazuki - I didn't say that!

       Mira - Why you little-

     Kazuki - Wah!

[Mira attempts to strangle Kazuki but Suddenly, Kaya falls to the ground fast asleep.]

     Kazuki - Oh?

       Mira - Oh?

[Kazuki and Mira smile at the sight of a sleeping Kaya.]

     Kazuki - ...Looks like she

              finally reached her

              limit.

              I'll take her inside.

       Mira - Hmm.

              And i'll clean up.

[Kazuki picks Kaya up and takes her to bed. He lays her down on the bed and tucks her in. He smiles then gently moves strands of her hair from her face.]

     Kazuki - Sweet dreams...

              Kaya.

[Outside Mira's cabin, Kazuki sits on the branch of a tall tree and stares at the moon.]

       Mira - Mind if i sit next

              to you?

[Kazuki turns to his side and sees Mira sitting on the same branch right next to him.]

     Kazuki - You're already sitting

              next to me.

       Mira - Hehe.

              Guess there was no

              point in asking then.

              ...The moon is quite

              lovely, isn't it?

     Kazuki - Ahh.

              I guess it is.

       Mira - Aren't you gonna take

              that blindfold off?

              You don't have to

              keep on wearing it

              anymore, you know

     Kazuki - ...I know.

              But i want to.

       Mira - Why?

     Kazuki - ...I guess because

              it reminds me of you.

       Mira - Ah!

[Mira quickly averts her face from Kazuki's as her cheeks turn bright red in embarrassment.]

     Kazuki - ...Thank you, Mira.

       Mira - Huh?

     Kazuki - For everything.

              If it weren't for you,

              Kaya and i wouldn't be

              here today.

              So thank you.

              You did something i

              never could.

              You saved my family.

              At least...the only

              family i have left.

              ...My father died when

              i was six years old.

              And my older brother

              died nine months

              after that.

              Ever since then, my

              family and i lived an

              impoverished life.

              Regardless, we were

              still happy.

              But i was never

              satisfied.

     Kazuki - I always wished that

              there was more i could

              could do for them.

              build them a beautiful

              home...

     Kazuki - Ah!

[Kazuki smiles.]

     Kazuki - I can't believe you

              actually remembered

              my name for once.

              But i guess your

              right.

              This isn't what any of

              them would want, is

              it?

[Mira's expression saddens.]

       Mira - To be honest, i didn't

              do that much.

              You getting this far

              was solely based on

              your own efforts.

              Listen, Kiboi.

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               She forgot my name

               again.

       Mira - Just like you, many

              people have lost their

              loved ones and even

              their own lives to the

              world of the Xenos.

              Night after night,

              innocent people get

              brutally massacred

              and devoured!

              Men...

              Women...

              Children...

              It's been happening

              longer than anyone

              can remember.

              But for what it's

              worth, what happened

              to you WAS greatly

              unfair.

              I know it's a little

              too late to be saying

              this, but i really am

              sorry about your

              family.

              I'm sure they were

              good people.

              Believe me, i know

              what it's like to lose

              someone very close to

              you.

[Kazuki smiles and places his hand on Mira's hand.]

       Mira - Oh!

[Mira becomes flustered and blushes. She looks over at Kazuki's bright smile, making her smile as well. She then leans and rests her head on Kazuki's shoulder.]

     Kazuki - Oh!

       Mira - You know, your one

              weird guy, Kiboi.

     Kazuki - Ehh?

       Mira - But...

              Weird in a good way.

              I'm glad i met you,

              kiboi.

[Kazuki smiles. He and Mira keep on sitting and staring at the beautiful moon together.]

     Kazuki - I'm glad i met you

              too, Mira.

       Mira - ...Kiboi.

     Kazuki - Hmm?

       Mira - ...I'm hungry.

     Kazuki - Eh?!

[Two days later, Kazuki prepares for the basic conclusion entrance exam. He pulls out a box from under his bed and opens it. He then pulls out his strange, white cloth, holds it up to his forehead and quietly prays.]

     Kazuki - Otou-San.

              Okaa-San.

              Hiroto.

              Teruko.

              Please protect me.

       Mira - Are you ready?

[Mira and Kaya walk over to Kazuki.]

     Kazuki - Hmm.

[Mira walks closer to Kazuki and adjusts his belt, making Kazuki blush.]

     Kazuki - Ah! Oi!

       Mira - Ngh!

              Hold still!

[Mira fixes Kazuki's collar, adjusts his moon blindfold and karate chops his head.]

     Kazuki - Gah!

       Mira - There.

              Now you're ready.

[Mira smiles, making Kazuki smile as well.]

       Kaya - I guess this is it,

              huh?

     Kazuki - Yeah.

              I guess it is.

[Kaya grabs Kazuki and hugs him.]

     Kazuki - Oh!

       Kaya - Good luck, Kazuki.

[Kazuki pets Kaya's head.]

     Kazuki - ...Umm...

              Kaya, you can let go

              now.

       Kaya - Just a little longer.

              Wahh!

[Mira flings Kaya away from Kazuki. She falls and rolls on a futon.]

       Kaya - Ugh!

       Mira - Here, Kiboi.

              I think it's high time

              i gave you this.

     Kazuki - Ah!

[Mira gives Kazuki a strange looking scabbarded katana. He slowly takes it and attempts to unsheathe it.]

     Kazuki - Grrr! Hrghh!

              Gah!!

[Kazuki tries to unsheathe the blade but it refuses to come out.]

     Kazuki - What's wrong with this

              thing?!

              Why won't it come 

              out?!

       Mira - Of course it won't

              come out, you idiot!

              You haven't done the

              proper ritual yet!

     Kazuki - Ritual?

[In a dark room, Kazuki and Mira kneel down while Kaya sits on a futon behind them and listens.]

       Mira - Listen well, Kiboi.

              Xenos have existed for

              millennia.

              And the Xeno Hunters

              have existed for just

              as long.

              During those years,

              the Kinetic Arts was

              created in order to

              counteract the magical

              abilities utilized by

              the Xenos.

              However, even the

              Kinetic Arts can only

              do so much for you

              when Hunting a Xeno.

              The powers the Xenos

              possess are on a

              completely different

              level.

     Kazuki - What kind of powers do

              the Xenos possess?

       Mira - Besides having the

              ability to regenerate

              any severed body part

              in the blink of an

              eye.

              Xenos can also

              manipulate and distort

              their bodies in many

              strange ways, taking

              different forms as

              they please.

              Plus, they possess

              hundreds of times the

              physical capabilities

              of a regular human.

              And some Xenos are

              far smarter than

              others.

              So Hunting them can

              never be easy.

              But that's not even

              the worst part.

     Kazuki - Oh?

       Mira - The worst part is the

              sacred power the Xenos

              call...

              The "KUGAITSU"!

     Kazuki - Oh!

       Mira - Or at least, that's

              what the Xenos call

              it.

              If you were to say it

              in our language, then

              it would translate

              to...

              The "CURSED PHANTASM"!

     Kazuki - "Cursed...Phantasm"?!

       Mira - This power allows

              Xenos to cast

              horrible, devilish

              spells that could end

              a Xeno Hunter's life

              in mere seconds.

              However, not all Xenos

              can use a Cursed

              Phantasm.

     Kazuki - Really?!

       Mira - More or less, it

              depends on how

              powerful the Xeno is.

              Always remember this,

              Kiboi.

              The more people a Xeno

              devours and the more

              the Xeno trains

              itself, the stronger

              that Xeno gets.

     Kazuki - Oh, i see!

              Xenos don't age.

              So a Xeno who's only

              lived for five years

              can't possibly compare

              itself to a Xeno who's

              lived for five

              decades!

       Mira - Exactly.

              A Xeno who's lived for

              that long has had

              plenty of time to

              devour countless lives

              and accumulate enough

              strength, training

              itself to its peak and

              perfecting its own

              Cursed Phantasm.

              Although, that doesn't

              mean only Xenos that

              have lived for that

              long can use a Cursed

              Phantasm, mind you.

              Even Xenos that have

              only BEEN Xenos for

              less than a month can

              develop a Cursed

              Phantasm with ease.

     Kazuki - Right.

       Mira - There are two ways and

              ONLY two ways to kill

              a Xeno.

              One, is by exposing

              them to the sun.

              You've already

              witnessed that

              yourself when you

              fought that Xeno on

              the mountain.

     Kazuki - Yeah.

[Kazuki has a quick flashback of his battle with the mountain Xeno.]

     Kazuki - It was burned to

              nothing but a pool of

              blood.

       Mira - That's why Xenos only

              prowl the land and

              attack when the sun

              goes down.

              Or when a Xeno Hunter

              infiltrates their

              domain hidden FROM

              the sun.

              The second way to kill

              a Xeno, is by using

              this.

[Mira picks up the scabbard katana and shows Kazuki.]

       Mira - This is no ordinary

              blade.

              The blades used by the

              Xeno Hunters are

              forged using a very

              intricate and

              delicate, secret

              method.

              Their the only things

              known to actually be

              able to kill a Xeno

              besides the sun.

     Kazuki - So, normal blades

              don't have any effect

              on Xenos?

       Mira - Yes.

              If a Xeno Hunter were

              to ever perform their

              Kinetic Arts using a

              normal blade, that

              blade would instantly

              shatter to a

              sub-atomic level due

              to shear impact of

              simply using the

              Kinetic Arts.

     Kazuki - Woah!

               

       Mira - That's why the Xeno

              Hunters use these

              special blades, and

              the effects of the

              blades can only work

              once the Xenos weak

              spot is severed.

     Kazuki - Which is?

       Mira - It's heart!

     Kazuki - What?!

27.

       Mira - To kill a Xeno, one

              has to completely

              sever it's heart.

              And one has to do it

              using the Xeno Hunter

              blades.

              If any other part of

              the Xeno besides its

              heart is severed, even

              while using the Xeno

              Xeno Hunter blades,

              the Xeno would

              instantly regenerate

              that severed part in a

              matter of time.

     Kazuki - I see.                

       Mira - Over many years of its

              use, these blades

              acquired a special

              name amongst the Xeno

              Hunters.

     Kazuki - A name?

       Mira - Mmm.

              They're called...

              The "GYOGARRA

              "BLADES"!

     Kazuki - "Gyogarra Blades"?!

       Mira - Before a Xeno Hunter

              can use a Gyogarra

              Blade, their soul has

              to be directly linked

              to it first.

              Only then, can you

              wield it.

[The sheathed blade begins to violently shake.]

[A burst of red and white light shoots out of the cracks of the sword's scabbard. The blade slowly stops glowing and shaking and the cracks fade away.]

     Kazuki - Oh?!

[Kaya hurriedly crawls over to Kazuki and Mira.]

       Kaya - Did it work?!

[Kazuki holds the katana's hilt and slowly pulls it out of it's scabbard with ease. They witness a blade possessing a half red, half white colouration on each side.]

[Kazuki and Kaya hug each other for a while. After a while, he and Kaya break their embrace and he nods goodbye to Mira. She then nods back to him. After that, Kazuki turns around and begins his journey to the Sumiwaru forest.]

       Kaya - Be honest.

              Do you think he'll

[On the way to the Sumiwaru forest, Kazuki looks at the sun as it sets and night falls. He then sighs.]

     Kazuki - Jeez!

              How far is this place

              anyway?

              I feel like i've been

              walking for hours

[At night, Kazuki arrives at the entrance to the Sumiwaru forest. He moves through the entrance and walks down a path through several beautiful trees and flowers.]

[Kazuki makes his way to a huge shrine where many other students are waiting.]

              parts of the forest as

              well.

              Xenos are very

              intolerant to things

              of holy nature.

              So for now you're

[Obimaru begins to tremble in fear.]

              Loser!

    Obimaru - Jerk!

[Kazuki looks to his side and notices a beautiful, white haired, male student look towards him. The male student is surprised quickly averts his face from Kazuki.]

     Kazuki - Ah!

              What the?!

     Omitsu - Now...

     Kazuki - Oh!

     Omitsu - If there are no more

              further questions...

[Kazuki's hands begin to tremble in fear. He slowly inhales then exhales and heads with the other students deep into the Sumiwaru forest to survive his entrance exam.]

[The first xeno jumps in the air and tries to smash the boy with his fist but the boy flips out of the way and lands away from the xeno. A second xeno then emerges from the ground behind the boy.]

     Xeno 2 - Hehehehehe!

              It's been a while

              since i've tasted such

              a fresh boy.

              He's mine!

[The second xeno licks his mouth with a psychotic grin on his face.]

     Xeno 1 - Back off man!

              He's mine!

[Kazuki arrives at the fight and hides behind a tree. He observes the situation and sees the boy having a continuously serious look on his face without uttering a single word as he faces two Xenos.]

     Kazuki - Ah!

              [Thoughts]

               Two against one?!

              [Thoughts]

               Looks like he could

               use some help!

[Kazuki tries to grab hold of his sword hilt but stops and is hesitant due to fear.]

     Kazuki - Kuh...!

[Kazuki ignores his fear and grabs hold of his sword hilt. But right when he unscabbards his katana halfway, the boy bursts forward and rapidly charges at the Xeno.]

     Kazuki - Eh?!

[The boy runs a short distance then boosts himself and runs even faster to the first xeno. In a flash, he appears in front of the xeno and gets ready to kill him.]

     Xeno 1 - Ah!

              Kuh!

[The Xeno tries to slash the boy with his claws but the boy jumps and flips over the xeno, dodging the attack.]

     Xeno 1 - Ah!

[The instant he lands behind the Xeno, he rapidly unscabbards his katana and turns around, diagonally slashing upward, severing the xeno's upper body and his heart in half.]

     Kazuki - Ah!

     Xeno 1 - Gahhh!!

[The first xeno's severed body parts fall to the ground as the xeno drops dead.]

     Xeno 2 - Ah..!

              Kruh...!

[The boy looks at the second xeno with a horribly menacing glare.]

     Xeno 2 - Ngh!

              You little brat...!!!

[The second xeno violently charges at the boy. The xeno appears in front of the boy and tries to slash him with his claws but the boy quickly squats very low to the ground and dodges the attack. In a flash, he gets up and slices the Xeno's arms off.]

     Kazuki - Hahhh!

     Xeno 2 - Kuh!

[The xeno jumps a far distance backwards and his severed arms slowly begin to regenerate.]

     Xeno 2 - Damn you...!!!

[The Xeno's arms fully regenerate and he rapidly charges at the boy once again for another assault.]

     Xeno 2 - Arghhh...!!!

[The boy flings his Katana vertically upwards in the air.]

     Kazuki - Ah!

              What is he doing?!

[As the sword falls back down to the boy, he flips and delivers a powerful kick to it's hilt, sending the sword flying horizontally straight forward at the xeno with blinding speed. The katana flies into the xeno's chest, impaling his heart.]

     Xeno 2 - Gah!

     Kazuki - Ah!

     Xeno 2 - Ngh! Kruh...!

[The Xeno holds the blade and tried to pull it out of his chest but the boy runs to him in the blink of an eye and grabs hold of the sword hilt, pushing the blade further into the xeno's heart and forcing the end of the blade out of the xeno's back.]

     Xeno 2 - Argh!

[The xeno coughs out huge amounts of blood as more blood gushes out of his chest and back. The boy begins to pull his katana upwards and vertically slice the ceno.]

     Xeno 2 - Arghhh...!!!

[The boy vertically slices the xeno in half, severing his heart. The xeno's severed, dead body falls to the ground.]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               ...Woah!

[As the fight ends, Kazuki moves away from the tree and slowly walks towards the battle site. He stops and looks at the boy scabbarding his katana. The boy looks at Kazuki in surprise once again. They both stare at each other for a while.]

     Kazuki - Oh...

[The boy points his index finger upwards, signalling Kazuki to look up.]

     Kazuki - Heh?!

[The boy turns around and quickly runs off.]

     Kazuki - Ah!

              W-Wait!

[The boy disappears deeper into the forest as Kazuki stands alone.]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               What was THAT all

               about?

              [Thoughts]

               Who was that boy?

              [Thoughts]

               More importantly, why

               did he look so

               familiar?

              [Thoughts]

               And why was he trying

               to tell me to look-

[Kazuki suddenly senses a xeno vibe and quickly looks up.]

     Kazuki - Ah!

       Xeno - Arghh...!

[A xeno quickly jumps from a tree above Kazuki and tries to attack him. Kazuki swiftly unscabbards his katana and deflects the xeno's attack.]

     Kazuki - Hrgh!

[The force of the xeno's attack violently flings Kazuki backwards and sends him rolling across the ground.]

     Kazuki - Urk! Ngh! Gah!

              Ugh...

[Kazuki staggers as he stands up. His forehead begins to bleed making the xeno psychotically smile.]

       Xeno - Hehehehehe!

     Kazuki - Ngh!

[Kazuki takes his fighting stance. His hands begin to tremble and his heart begins to loudly pound against his chest in fear.]

       Xeno - Hehehehehehehe!

              You tremble.

              I can smell your

              fear.

     Kazuki - Tsk!

              [Thoughts]

               that would matter

[Kazuki stops trembling and strengthens his grip on his sword hilt.]

[The xeno violently charges at Kazuki and tries to slash him with his claws but Kazuki quickly deflects the attack with his sword.]

[The force of the xeno's attack violently flings Kazuki backwards again but Kazuki flips in the air and lands on his feet.]

[The xeno unleashes several long, mutated, serrated meat whips from his chest and eyes that flail all around and attack Kazuki.]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

[Kazuki's blindfold prevents him from seeing the xeno. He then uses his magecraft to hone his clairvoyance to greater heights and pinpoints the xeno and the position of all it's incoming attacks.]

[Kazuki boosts himself forward and charges at the xeno with full speed. One of the xeno's whips violently flails at Kazuki but he senses it.]

     Kazuki - Ah!

[Kazuki skids along the ground with his knees, dodging the attack. The other whips flail at Kazuki from his left and right side.]

     Kazuki - Ngh!

[Kazuki quickly jumps and flips high into the air, dodging the other attacks.]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               MOON KINETIC ARTS!

[Kazuki flips and twists in the air, dodging several more of the xeno's whips flaiing at him.]

     Kazuki - Hgh! Ngh!

              Ugh! Hrgh!

[Kazuki lands on the ground.]

     Kazuki - Ngh! Hrgh!

[Kazuki rapidly charges at the xeno while performing a series of swift and precise, consecutive slashes in the form of a strange dance.]

     Kazuki - Hrgh!

[The moon kinetic arts shrouds Kazuki's Katana in the form of purple water containing smaller yellow crescents.]

     Kazuki - Ngh! Hgh!

              Urgh! Hahh!

[Kazuki slashes the xeno's tongues and cuts through each of them.]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               SECOND STYLE!

[Kazuki runs even faster and closes in on the xeno.]

     Kazuki - Hgh!

[With blinding speed, Kazuki boosts himself and leaps forward at the xeno.]

     Kazuki - Harghhh...!!!

[Holding his katana outwards in one hand, Kazuki unleashes a powerful, devastating, horizontal slash to the xeno, severing it's upper body along with it's heart in half.]

       Xeno - Gahhh!

     Kazuki - ...MOON DANCE.

[Kazuki lands behind the xeno. The xeno falls to the ground and lays dead in a pool of blood. Kazuki stands while breathing heavily.]

     Kazuki - Ngh!

              [Thoughts]

               Damn!

              [Thoughts]

               I completely forgot

               how much the Kinetic

               Arts takes it's toll

               on me everytime i

               use it!

[Kazuki turns around and walks to the dead xeno. He looks at his lower arms covered in scars from his hellish training with Mira.]

               I guess all those

               training weren't for

               nothing.

[Kazuki scabbards his katana and kneels down. He then places his palms together and prays for the xeno in silence. After he finishes praying, he gets up and runs deeper into the Sumiwaru forest.]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               I hope the sun rises

               soon...

              [Thoughts]

               For all our sakes!

[At Mira's cabin, Kaya kneels and continuously prays for Kazuki.]

       Mira - You've been praying

              for hours now, Kaya

[Mira walks over to Kaya.]

       Mira - You should rest.

       Kaya - ...I can never rest.

              Not until he comes

              back safe.

       Mira - We've already offered

              enough prayers we can

              for him.

              Right now, it's all up

              to his determination

              to survive.

[Kaya sighs and becomes even more worried. Mira places her hand on Kaya's shoulder to reassure her.]

[Kaya smiles, becoming a little more reassured.]

[At night, deeper in the Sumiwaru forests, Kazuki battles three more xenos at once.]

     Kazuki - Ngh! Urgh!

              Argh!

[Kazuki uses his katana and deflects all the xenos' attacks.]

     Xeno 1 - Grrr...! Urahhh...!!!

     Xeno 2 - Grrr...! Urahhh...!!!

     Xeno 3 - Grrr...! Urahhh...!!!

[The Xenos violently charge at Kazuki but he effortlessly severs their hearts.]

     Kazuki - Ngh! Hrgh!

              Hah!

[The xenos all drop dead to the ground, leaving kazuki completely covered in blood.]

     Kazuki - Tsk!

[Kazuki scabbards his sword and prays once again for the dead xenos. After praying, he sighs in sadness.]

     Hinawa - Gahh!

[One of the entrance exam student gets flung from within the forest, smashing her body through a tree and landing behind Kazuki.]

     Kazuki - Ah!

[As the dust clears, Kazuki runs over to the student.]

     Kazuki - Hey!

              Ah!

[Kazuki notices the beautiful female student, Hinawa, is severely injured. Her entire body is covered in her own blood.]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               Dammit!

               She's badly hurt!

              [Thoughts]

               Her wounds must be

               really deep!

[The student violently coughs out blood.]

     Hinawa - Ngh!

              R-Run!

     Kazuki - Oh!

[The student grabs Kazuki's arm.]

[Kazuki begins to run deeper into the forest to find the exit.]

[Deeper in the Sumiwaru forest, Kazuki breathes heavily as he runs while carrying Hinawa. Suddenly, he stops and gasps in horror as a gigantic, hideous, horrific xeno monstrosity emerges in front of them.]

     Kazuki - Ah...Ahhhh...!!!

[The xeno moves towards them. It's body is a giant pile of blood-drenched flesh, limbs and monstrous teeth all mashed up together. It moves by dragging it's body with several giant, mutated tendrils, shaped like limbs. Kazuki and Hinawa witness the emerging of the "FLESH XENO".]

 Flesh Xeno - Erghhh...!

     Kazuki - Ngh!

[A giant hideous face appears on the flesh xeno's body. It's powerful shriek unleashes a massive, violent gust of wind, blowing Kazuki and Hinawa back.]

     Kazuki - Urk!

     Hinawa - Urk!

[In far distances, the flesh xeno's scream catches the attention of some of the entrance exam students.]

     Kazuki - Kuh!

[Kazuki runs away with Hinawa and hides her behind a tree. He hides along with her and breathes heavily in fear.]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               What the hell WAS

               that thing?!

[The flesh xeno drags itself and heads closer to Kazuki and Hinawa.]

     Hinawa - Ngh!

              It hurts!

              It hurts so much!

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               So that's it!

              [Thoughts]

               That Flesh Xeno

               must've been what

               injured her!

              [Thoughts]

               I can sense her vibe

               getting weaker by the

[Kazuki rips off his shirt. He then opens up Hinawa's top and uses the torn pieces of his shirt to patch up the deep wounds on her chest and stomach. After that, he rips open her pants and uses the remaining torn pieces of his shirt to patch up the deep wounds on her calves and upper thighs. He then places his hand on Hinawa's chest and performs his magecraft.]

     Kazuki - Heal.

[The strange, purple, glowing, patterns appear on Kazuki's and Hinawa's tensed body slowly eases up.]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               Alright!

               This should do!

               Normally, my Healing

               Magic can't close up

               wounds, but it can

               at least slightly

               nullify the pain for

               a few minutes.

[Hinawa slowly loses consciousness and falls asleep.]

[A small flesh stump protrudes from the flesh xeno's body. The flesh stump forms a second, gruesome looking face.]

[The young boy and his little sister laugh together with joy as they eat the little food they have.]

[The young boy lies ill on some pieces of old clothes, trembling and breathing heavily. His little sister kneels next to him, tending to his illness.]

[The boy's little sister breaks into a large pharmaceutical store at night and steals some drugs for her brother.]

Second Face - [Narration]

               She decided that if

               no one would help

              [Narration]

               Unfortunately...

               She stole from the

               wrong people.

[While trying to flee from the store, the boy's little sister is caught by a group of men and the owner of the store: A highly, influencial drug boss.]

Second Face - [Narration]

               After that, my sister

               had been missing for

               days.

              [Narration]

               I searched high and

               low, praying she was

               alright.

[At night, the sick boy slowly staggers into a large, abandoned slaughter house, searching for his little sister.]

Second Face - [Narration]

               Soon enough, i was

               also kidnapped by

               thesame men who took

               my sister.

[A man walks up behind the boy and knocks him out. The boy wakes up in the slaughter house in a cage and sees his sister in bondage, surrounded by several men.]

Second Face - [Narration]

               We were scared.

              [Narration]

               I begged them to show

               my sister mercy.

              [Narration]

               All they did was

               laugh.

              [Narration]

               As punishment for

               stealing from them...

              [Narration]

               My sister was

               shamed...

              [Narration]

               Humiliated...

              [Narration]

               And violated...

              [Narration]

               Right in front of me.

[The men continuosly violate and harass the girl in front of her brother as he watches in horror.]

Second Face - [Narration]

               After that, it was

               decided that we would

               be disposed of.

[The men tie up the boy and his sister and throw them into a huge meet grinder in the slaughter house. They scream in agony as their bodies get horrifically grinded together and torn to pieces. After a long while, they pour out of the meat grinder as a gruesome, bloody pile of flesh and bones.]

Second Face - [Narration]

               We were left there to

               die.

              [Narration]

               Still clinging to

               life, we swore

               vengeance on everyone

               who wronged us!

              [Narration]

               And anyone who'd ever

               defy us!

[Later at the slaughter house, a mysterious, smartly dressed, handsome man, wearing a black suit and a long, white over coat appears. He walks over to the massacred, mutilated siblings and smiles.]

 Mysterious - Hmmm...

        Man

              ...You poor souls.

[He gently places his palm on the pile of flesh and bones.]

 Mysterious - Your in so much pain.

        Man

              So many people have

              wronged you.

              You desire vengeance.

              You desire...

              Blood.

              You crave it.

[The Mysterious Man's smile grows wider.]

 Mysterious - I shall grant you your

        Man wish.

              Rejoice...

              From this moment on...

              ...You are now my

              children.

         [END OF FLASHBACK]

[Kazuki stands speechless.]

     Kazuki - I'm guessing after

              that, one by one, you

              two must've murdered

              everyone who had

              wronged you in the

              past, as well as those

              who stood against you

              and defied you!

Second Face - That is correct.

     Kazuki - You said someone, a

              man made you two into

              what you are!

              Who was it?!

Second Face - A man who's name i am

              not worthy to speak.

              A man who's very being

              surpasses that of the

              gods themselves!

              He is our righteous

              lord and saviour!

     Kazuki - Ah!

[Kazuki gets a flashback of when he was in the museum, reading strange words from a odd piece of cloth.]

           [FLASHBACK]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               "IT IS NOT OF THIS

               WORLD...

              [Thoughts]

               BUT TRULY A GOD.

         [END OF FLASHBACK]

     Kazuki - Urgh! Ngh!

[Kazuki holds his head in pain as he gets a quick, painful flashback of that previous, strange event in the museum before.]

     Kazuki - [Thoughts]

               What WAS that just

               now?!

              [Thoughts]

               Why am i suddenly

               remembering these

               things i've never

               even seen before?!

              Arghh!!

[Kazuki gets more quick flashbacks, causing him more agonizing pain.]

     Kazuki - Ngh!

              Kuh...!

              Enough!

[Kazuki takes his fighting stance.]

     Kazuki - Only a heartless

              monster would do such

              a thing to two

              innocent children!

              It isn't righteous!

              It's unforgivable!

Second Face - Hohh?

              So re-giving life is

              unforgivable?

              Giving a second chance

              is unforgivable?

     Kazuki - Tsk!

              I can only imagine the

              agony you two must've

              felt.

              No doubt THERE, your

              rage is truly earned.

              No one can blame you

              for ending the lives

              of those who wronged

              you in the past.

Second Face - ...You're quite

              strange.

 

              You speak of

              righteousness, yet you

              say you find nothing

              wrong with the fact

              that we killed all

              those people?

              You don't even find it

              in the slightest way

              despicable?

              Why?

              Why do you say this?

     Kazuki - ...Because i know the

              feeling of craving

              vengeance.

[Kazuki tightens his fists in growing rage.]

     Kazuki - Every...single...day!

              I know it all too

              well!

              Still...

Second Face - Hmm?

     Kazuki - ...It may have been

              hard...

              But i was strong

              enough to never let

              that feeling drive me

              to the point of

              hostility and

              bitterness towards

              those who didn't

              deserve it.

              But only those who

              didn't deserve it.

[Kazuki smirks.]

     Kazuki - Guess i'm quite

              "Despicable", huh?

[Kazuki frowns.]

     Kazuki - But you...

              You two were weak!

                

              You allowed yourselves

              to be easily

              mesmerized by the

              irresistible lust for

              blood!

              Because of that, you

              were driven to the

              point of murdering and

              devouring innocent

              lives all for the sake

              of your own pleasure!

              Men, women, children!

              You two murdered them

              all!

              That...

              Is unforgivable!

Second Face - ...You're quite brave

              for a child your age.

              However, my sister and

              i have grown tired

              this talk.

[The flesh xeno menacingly growls at Kazuki as giant tendrils extend from it's body. Jagged, bony spikes protrude from the giant tendrils.]

Second Face - Die!

     Kazuki - Tsk!

              Bring it on!

              Xenooo!

[Kazuki rapidly bursts forward and charges at the Flesh Xeno.]
