"Weiss Schnee?!" Jaune asked with his face only a few inches from Yang's.

"Breath Mint!" Yang pushed the man back, "Jeez, so you know her?"

Jaune and Yang were only in one class together. Despite this, they had become good friends during their time at Beacon University. They were both juniors. Both had blonde hair that girls found attractive. And they both struggled with math. Jaune more than Yang.

Their true bonding moments emerged in the school gym. Yang letting Jaune know about her new bike while spotting him. Jaune complaining about how disgusting protein shakes taste. Yang hyping up Jaune to go ask out the 'cute redhead'. Jaune asking Yang for better flirting advice immediately after.

Today, it was Yang asking Jaune about a girl.

"Yeah!" Jaune began, "She's a Schnee! Her entire family are alumni. There's her dad who owns a bunch of garages in the state. School gets a lot of parts for certain classes through him. Then her sister's constantly donating to the local high schools. I think she's a jeweler or something in that field. Her mom's a-"

Yang cut her friend off, "Yeah, I don't care about them. I wanna know about her." She leaned back on the bench, grasped the bar, and pressed as she spoke. "She's not exactly much for talking. But you are. So start spilling."

"Thanks," Jaune scoffed. He spotted Yang, "I know that she'd get upset if she found out I was talking about her."

"Because it's gossip, or because it's you?" Yang meant this as a joke. She stopped working out when she got an answer.

"Because it's me." Jaune didn't wait for Yang to question this. "We went to high school together and I kinda," he rubbed the back of his neck, "asked her out once a month for a year."

Yang didn't have much to say. She didn't even move her body. Just holding the 200 pounds in place. All she did was tell Jaune something he already knew.

"...You used to be a wannabe dirty Chad?"

"I was a horny teenager and she was, is,...well, you see how cute she is." Jaune was blushing like a tomato at this point.

Yang was rolling her eyes.

"I can see she's cute." She returned to bench pressing, "I wanna know about her. Did you and her ever talk? What're her likes and dislikes? Does she like pineapple on pizza, or is she normal? Stuff like that?"

Jaune had his hands on his hips as he snickered. He thought for a moment. Searching his memories for something to share. What he found, followed as such.

"She didn't talk much to anyone. It was a private catholic school with strict rules."

"There're catholic schools that’re lenient?" Yang joked.

After rolling his eyes, "Everyone knew who her family was. Her sister was in the school just as much as the teachers. So I guess people sucking up to Weiss got her the rep of being the 'ice princess'. She only talked to like, three people the entire time. She'd say hi back and stuff, but you couldn't hold a conversation with her. It was like she hated other people. If you weren't a teacher, you were nothing to her."

"And yet she turned a hunk like you down."

Jaune flexed his bicep, "I wasn't beefed up back then."

They shared a laugh. Yang set the bar down and stood up. At the same time, Jaune did some last-minute stretches.

She wiped the bench down as she asked, "So, the girl who sits on my bed watching anime used to be antisocial in high school? That's perfect!"

Yang stood over Jaune. A sliver of pride emerged watching Arc lift the 200 pounds. Last month it was 150. Last year it was 75. That and his eyes weren't on the bar when looking up.

"You've come quite a long way," Yang congratulated.

"I'm more into butts." Jaune mocked.

"Pyrrha's butt?" Yang's answer came with the twitch of an eyebrow and a slight buckle. "Too heavy?"

"Shut up."

-The Girl’s Dorm-

When Yang walked into her dorm, there were a few things she expected. Her clothes for the next day were on the foot of her bed. A box of sugary cereal on the dresser. A trash can with a basketball hoop above it. And a poster of her favorite motorbike. Well, there was a girl on the bike, but Yang cared more about the Harley than 'miss Harley'.

"What the?" She opened the door and wondered if she walked into the wrong dorm.

Those were definitely her clothes on the bed. But they were neatly folded and placed in the center. A newly purchased yellow clothes hamper instead sat at the bed's edge. The cereal had found its way to the dorm's front counter. Next to it was a plug-in stove top and crock pot. The trash can had been emptied and a recycle sticker was placed over it. The hoop had been adjusted for the new, much bigger trash bin that took its original place. Finally, Yang's poster had been framed. Worst of all, straightened.

"I cleaned up your mess." Weiss' voice came from the bathroom.

Yang opened the mini-fridge. Tea, eggs, soda, pre-made lunches, and beer were all organized. Even the freezer had new food.

"Aw! You didn't have to do that," Yang thanked. Only after all her beer was accounted for, but a thank you nonetheless.

"I have no intention of living in a pigsty," Weiss muttered under her breath.

"What?" Yang called.

Speaking clearly "The only thing I didn't touch were your clothes."

"They're just pants."

Weiss' closet door was open. A few pairs of jeans were outnumbered by an army of skirts.

Yang's coy voice lingered, "You should try wearing them sometime."

"You're almost twice my size." Weiss informed, "Nothing you have would fit me."

Yang had to hold a hand over her mouth. Her laugh didn't reach Weiss, as much as she wanted it to.

"Of course, Princess."

Slightly annoyed, "What?"

"I said 'if you bulk up they would'," Yang answered.

"I'm still 5'4."

Yang couldn't wipe the smile off her face. This was going to be a fun school year.
