Chapter 29: [Vol. 3] [Chapter 25: Invitation] {25}

Inside the practice hall of the Takeru family's main house, Ken and Asanuma are training together. After some time of training and talking with Asanuma, Ken looked at his watch, it was 9:00 pm

"Alright, let's just finish our training here"

Asanuma replied

"Yeah, it's up to you. I go first"

Asanuma concentrated his strength, and black smoke began to evaporate and enveloped his body. Slowly and faster the black smoke dissipated, leaving behind the Asanuma glove puppet, and the remaining black smoke is sucked back into the Asanuma glove puppet. Ken walked over to his glove puppet that was lying on the floor and picked it up, he then walked out of the room.

The next day, the time now is 3:00 pm. Ken has just come home from school, he is now walking with some of his male friends while chatting with each other. Arriving at the school entrance gate, something immediately caught Ken's attention, a black sedan that had previously taken Suga. Near this black sedan, the driver is looking around, looking for something. Before long, his attention was drawn to Ken, who was walking here. This middle-aged man immediately ran over to Ken. Ken, who is familiar with this man, then stopped his steps, making his friends around him surprised. When the driver arrived in front of Ken, he then stopped in his tracks

“Takeru san? Sorry to interrupt your time. But Mr. Suga wants to meet you. Can you come with me to meet him?”

This made Ken smile awkwardly

"Of course, I will meet Suga san"

Ken said goodbye to his friends, then left here with the driver.

Arriving at Suga's car, the driver opened the car door for Ken. Ken looked into the car, Suga and Nellson were waiting for him. It appears that Suga can see Ken right in the eye, and his gesture is not like a blind person

"Come in Ken, you don't have to be reluctant"

Ken smiled awkwardly, then got into the car, sitting next to Suga in the back seat, the driver then closed the car door, and the driver then got into the car through the car door on the driver's seat. In the car, Nellson's presence appears to steal Ken's attention

“Hello Hisoka-san, I never thought we would meet again so soon”

"Did you know, if the Takeru family decided to reject the Association's invitation to join?"

Ken looked surprised

"I just found that out Suga san, sorry if it bothers you"

Ken thought to himself

“I don't know why Grandpa didn't tell me about this decision…”

Suga smiled

"It's okay Ken, I just wanted to ask about it. This conversation is not formal, but consider it more like a chat between friends"

Ken gave a nod. Suga continues talking

“The other day you said that you were considering becoming a Yokai controller. May I know what your decision is?”

Hearing this, made Ken a little surprised

“When it comes to that… I'm still considering it too, hahaha”

Ken laughed awkwardly. Suga's expression turned curious

“As you can see, Nellson is my owl Yokai. Have you got your Yokai?”

Ken appeared a little surprised. Remembered again by Ken, flashback, if his grandfather told him not to expose Asanuma too much, Ken thought to himself

“But what about fellow Yokai controllers?”

This made Ken lose in thought. Seeing Ken, make Suga surprised

Ken's expression appeared a little disappointed, for some reason, while also lost in thought. Suga appeared to realize this

"You're daydreaming again, Ken"

Hearing Suga's words, Ken immediately came to his senses

"Actually, I also thought about Grandpa's reaction, he probably wouldn't allow it"

The current time is 5:00 pm. The sky appeared to be getting darker. The car that took Suga and Ken to the Takeru family's main house area, this car then drove and stopped near the entrance gate. In the car, Suga said

"I'd better just take you here"

Ken smiled awkwardly

"Yeah, that's the best. Thank you for taking me home Suga san, I'll excuse myself"

Suga gave a nod and a smile. Ken opened the car door next to him, then got out of the car. This sedan then drove away leaving Ken. Ken looks at Suga's car for a moment, with a curious expression on his face. Ken then walked in through the gate. Back to Suga, Suga appeared to be looking out the car window with a dreamy expression.

Flashback, it appears that Suga is wearing a white overcoat with a black stripe pattern which is the uniform of an Investigator and Yokai controller of the Yokai Controller Association, with black trousers, a black shirt tucked in, and black boots. Suga walked down a classic Japanese-style corridor with shiny wooden floors, on the floor of the main building in the middle of the Yokai Controller Association's headquarters area like before. Suga arrived at a classic Japanese-style double sliding door, he then opened this door and immediately went inside. It appears that the room inside is a large Japanese-style room with tatami stilts, and in front, right, and left there is another similar room with a smaller size, which is separated by a wall by a row of sliding doors that are in the same pair of rails.

In the front, after the smaller room, was another row of classic Japanese-style sliding doors, which led to a large veranda with polished wooden floors, plaster walls, and wooden railings with rows of wooden pillars supporting the ceiling and roof, all in Japanese carved style. This veranda is where the eastern leader was waiting, standing while propping up on the railing of the veranda here with both hands, his face and body facing the scenery at the rear of the building. In front of the eastern leader were a vast forest and other smaller classic Japanese buildings. After getting close enough, Suga stopped his steps

“You want to talk to me, sir? I happened to be here, so I immediately came to see you”

The eastern leader who turned his back on Suga didn't appear to turn his head, so his face wasn't visible. The eastern leader replied

“Yes, this is about the request that we will convey to the Takeru family to join, somehow I'm pretty sure that they will refuse it. Therefore, I would like to discuss other options with you”

Hearing this, Suga's expression turned serious.
