Chapter 5 Part 2: Ignite
Kwon Seong-min asked me what to do, and so I decided to approach slightly.
In my memory, there were a couple of talented Awakeners that was stationed from the Indoor Gym, who came out from the gate.
And maybe among them…
“Come on hurry!” (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ
“Just hold on a little longer!” (●´⌓`●)
“Damn it, how many times do I have to say that!”(눈‸눈)
“I’m so sorry! Just a little bit more!” (;^ω^)
An incongruously young voice suddenly rang out. Then the light haired kid moved quickly.
So You were already here.
Twins An Yu-soo and An Yu-ra. The genius ranger duo who made this indoor gym into an unbreakable stronghold. They were one of the few survivors who managed to come out alive, and as soon as they came out of the gate… They became genius hunters who were on a winning streak.
In the middle of the battle, there were a pair of teenagers who were engaging against «Turtle Bugs». There was also a separate tank specialist who drew the aggro. Their level is quite good. Aren’t they already fulfilling the role of full-fledged combatants?
“Now, one last shot!”
“Wait a minute! I’ll take the final reward!”
The two of them were arguing while pulling a bowstring.
Item drops? It’s quite common for hunters to have their own weapons in this world. However, bows are still rare weapons. So It was most likely an item drop after killing the monster. This feature came sooner than I expected.
“You damn twins… I’m doing all the hard work, and you’re busy squabbling?”
“Ah, we were contributing too.”
“The item didn’t come out!”
Seeing the children laughing and chatting, it seemed like it was time to leave. The moment I turned my head to signal the others, I heard a rapid whistling behind me.
“Hah…”
At the same time there was a harsh wind cutting and gurgling sound approaching behind me.
-Tak
I reflexively grabbed something and I saw that it was an arrow?
“Wow, did you catch that?”
“It’s because of your lack of skill, stupid.”
“Aren’t we on the same level?”
They started arguing and blaming each other.
“It was spying on us like a rat, so I shot it once, but I didn’t know it was a human!”
“OMG it’s my mistake!”
One of them made a facepalm, and then pretended not to know that they just almost committed a heinous crime. I forgot, that this pair of brother and sister were famous for their ‘strange’ temperament.
Kwon Seong-Min came to asked me If I was okay, and I said yes. We can’t really get angry nor show any dissatisfaction. This is their turf. We are uninvited guests, who came to seek shelter.

Kwon Seong-Min bit his lip. He didn’t know what to say. The atmosphere quickly turned grim. The twins were calm despite receiving dozens of sharp gazes.
“Ah these guys!”
A middle-aged man appeared humorously then hit both the twins on the head. The tense atmosphere was then immediately destroyed. It seemed that they were hit pretty hard given that we were still able to hear the loud thump up to where we stand. The two then both grabbed their head and groaned.
“I’m really sorry for their rudeness… These guys are usually quite obedient and cute…”
The uncle then bowed his head apologetically. While the twins complained, and asked the uncle why he had to apologize. They grumbled that we were spying on them first and so it was their fault. The man ignored them and came over to us.
“Are you fellow survivors?”
“Yes, we are.”
Kwon Seong-Min stepped forward as a representative.
“Where did you come from?”
“We came from the H Supermarket nearby.”
“From there to here? That must have been a lot of hard work…”
The man was quite surprised.
Based on my observation, item drops seemed to only exist around this area.
“We were lucky. We started at the supermarket. We brought food supplies and various daily necessities… Will it be possible for us to meet the person in charge of the Gym?”
“That’s not difficult. The hunt just ended…”
The man turned around and yelled at the twins.
“You bastards! Start cleaning up?”
“Eh… Uncle is resting so…”
“Just go ahead.”
The children followed and began to expertly process the corpses of the larvae. The bodily fluids and blood that could attract monsters were covered with soil. The useless parts were cut off, Antennae, bare legs, outer hair, etc… Their hand movements were quick and very stable.
“This area was their lair. So they were pretty smart.”
“I see…”
“Those bugs look disgusting, but if you take out the intestines and cook them, they taste like shrimp, very delicious.”
Kim Tae-byeong started vomiting next me. He felt repulsed by the idea of eating monster meat. Tsk he’s too weak to be tank.
“Mister, we’re done!”
“Come on, take care of it and follow me.”
“Oh, really! This is a complete exploitation of minors! I will report it to the Ministry of Labor and Employment!”
“Go ahead.”
The man acted foolishly and messed around with them. It was a pleasant surprise. Their whole conversation was so light. It has been a long time since he felt so relaxed, and Kwon Seong-min stood still for a moment. Everyone was speechless.
Any forms of relaxation like jokes and pranks was a luxury for us. All this time we’ve been in high alert, and this past three days felt like hell for us. So seeing this familiar scene made us feel out of sort.
“Anyways follow me first. It was a rule to report about accepting survivors before we can let you in.”
