Chapter 4: Chapter 3

“Ngh..” Yu XinYue groaned when she woke up from her long dreams.

 

Her eyelashes fluttered before Yu XinYue slowly opened her eyes. She noticed that she was still inside the space but this time Yu XinYue can see all the places within this space in her mind.

 

Yu XinYue can even clearly see grass that flutters because of wind at the mountain peak. Looking around, this space looks different from the one she created before. There is a lot of flora and fauna that Yu XinYue has never seen before. Not to mention the buildings that appeared out of nowhere.

 

Pushing herself up, Yu XinYue looked for the black wolf cub but it was nowhere to be found. Looks like that black wolf cub was gone. Not noticing the jade token and bangle were disappearing from her waist and wrist, Yu XinYue stood up and walked towards the bamboo house near the lake.

 

The bamboo house was built with a simple design where all the furniture inside were made from bamboo. This house looks simple yet gives a comfortable feeling, it soothes people's nerves when the bamboo leaves rustled by the wind.

 

Yu XinYue took a deep breath to calm her chaotic mind and tense nerves. In a span of one day, Yu XinYue experienced a lot of bizarre stuff. She needs time to digest what is happening and what she should do next.

 

All these things that happened to her could only be found from those fantasy stories. It never crossed Yu XinYue's mind that it would happen to her one day.

 

Yu XinYue sat on a stone chair beside a plum tree in the bamboo house's front yard. Closing her eyes, Yu XinYue recalled what happened before she came to a conclusion. She was struck by lightning when she was standing in front of her house, then she woke up in a strange world. After that she was sent into this place before she lost consciousness.

 

Then what happened next? Yu XinYue couldn’t remember. She felt that she had a long dream but she couldn’t remember it no matter how she tried. Rubbing her temples, Yu XinYue let out a long sigh. 

 

Maybe I should check around and try to find any information about this place. Yu XinYue stood up and went into the bamboo house.

 

Within the bamboo house, there are a few rooms. One parlor with a round table in the middle complete with a few chairs, cupboards full with jade bottles and dried herbs, and a screen that divides the parlor with the inner room.

 

Behind the screen, there is another small room with a bamboo mattress covering a 2x2 meters area with a bonfire in the middle of it. A bronze kettle was hanging above the fire, with a tea set utensils put at the small table near the bamboo mattress. 

 

Yu XinYue saw that around 5 meters from the bamboo mattress there is an ancient style round door that connects the room with the backyard. On the other side of the round door, Yu XinYue saw a balcony built using bamboo with one meter in width. 

 

Walking on the balcony, Yu XinYue saw that on the left side, there is a small hot spring complete with cupboards and any necessities used for bathing. While on the right side, there is a small garden filled with colorful flowers with a lotus pond on the corner of the back yard.

 

Yu XinYue walked back into the inner room and looked on her left side, there was a study room filled with jade slips and ancient bamboo scrolls. Yu XinYue never saw the scripts on those scrolls and jade slips, but strangely she understood the meaning from those scripts.

 

Walking out from the study room, there was a bedroom across the study room. The bedroom was decorated with a thin purple silk hanging from above that reached the floors, acting as a screen that divides the bedroom into a few sections. 

 

Yu XinYue walked past the thin purple silk and saw a round bed with a soft white mattress, a few pillows with lotus embroidered on it, and a soft and thick blanket. Touching the bed, Yu XinYue felt a soft and cool sensation go from her fingertips into her body and she couldn’t help but sigh in satisfaction.

On the right side of the bed, there is a huge round window that shows the scenery at the lake. It looks like a painting if looked from the bed. With a low table and cushions put near the table, it was a perfect place for taking a nap or reading while enjoying the gentle breeze.

 

This bamboo house was beautiful despite being built with bamboo. Even though Yu XinYue doesn’t know what materials were used to build and decorate this house, she knows that this place was a perfect example of simple yet luxurious. 

 

Smelling a slight sweet fragrance on the air, Yu XinYue saw the small blue incense furnace that glows with a soft blue light was placed at the corner of the room. She doesn’t know who the owner of this place is, but this place really fits her liking. It’s like this place was built based on her preference.

 

Shaking her head while smiling, Yu XinYue put away that ridiculous thought. She is just an average person in her whole 26 years of life. Only her brain is a bit better compared to other people, but that also not something that could be called genius. 

 

While Yu XinYue was checking the house, she found a kitchen built behind the bamboo house with complete cooking utensils. The problem is, there are no ingredients at all. Without anything to work with, even a good chef also couldn’t make any dish.

 

Yu XinYue held onto her rumbling stomach with a pitiful face. Suddenly, images after images flashed on Yu XinYue’s mind. Turns out, this place has a lot of mountains that are filled with any kind of ingredients, not to mention those grassland, forest, sea, even the floating mountain on the skies.

 

But for Yu XinYue who doesn’t have any spiritual Qi, collecting those ingredients was an impossible task for her. While she was lamenting on her pitiful situation, a round big peach appeared on her hand when she was drooling while looking at the peach tree in her mind. 

 

Yu XinYue was stunned when she saw the round big peach fruit on her hand. What is happening? This peach appeared suddenly, is this real?

 

Yu XinYue held the peach with both of her palm and rubbed it, it felt real. Taking the peach closer, Yu XinYue took a sniff. The fragrance of peach went into her small delicate nose and made her feel refreshed. This is the first time Yu XinYue saw a peach that looked so delicious, fresh, and smelled so nice like this. 

 

Swallowing her saliva, Yu XinYue was hesistant for a while before she finally took a bite of the peach. The moment Yu XinYue bite on the peach, a gush of juice fills her mouth. It tasted sweet and cool, but when Yu XinYue swallowed the juice, a warm current flowed into her body.

 

The warm current circled her whole body before ending up in a place above her pubic. Not knowing that the warm current was spiritual Qi and the place above her pubic is her dantian, Yu XinYue eats the spiritual peach to fill her empty stomach.

 

Because the peach was huge and her appetite was small, Yu XinYue felt full with only one peach. Like how her ‘salted fish’ sisters always said, when your stomach is full, your eyelids will loosen. And now, Yu XinYue feels sleepy after filling her stomach.

 

Glancing at the soft fluffy bed, Yu XinYue walked towards it and lay down under the blanket before drifting into a deep sleep. Unbeknownst to Yu XinYue, inside her dantian, the black wolf cub was absorbing the spiritual Qi from the spiritual peach. Its weak and small soul was glowing with soft red light whenever the spiritual Qi was absorbed by it, before a thin black mist covered its whole body again.

 

At the same time, in a floating mountain, a man clad in black robes with red patterns embroidered on it opened his eyes slowly from his meditative state. His pupils glowed with golden color before slowly dimmed and turned into deep emerald color. 

 

Looking down on his left palm, that man clenched it before opening it again. An image of a black wolf cub curled into a small ball was floating above that man’s palm. His deep eyes glinted before the corner of his lips curled up. The cold and emotionless face lit up with that smile, turning the stone cold man into an attractive handsome man.

 

“Finally, I found it.” A deep magnetic voice reverberated in a huge room covered with black crystal that glistened like stars.
