“I got it.” I told the two when I got out of the challenge room, showing them the skill orb.

“Nice. How difficult was it?” Ria asked.

“You got it on the first try? I thought you’d have to try multiple times.” Wilma added.

“I can show you the recording later, but it was somewhat difficult. The main part I hate is having to purposefully take some hits, but just had to do it.”

“I really don’t understand why taking hits is required for a better reward.” Wilma said.

“It isn’t, normally. If you want a ‘perfect’ score of 0.99999, taking a hit actually gets in the way. But if you want the chance to go over 1, you need to take some hits. Honestly the entire formula for how the drops are calculated is a mess.”

“But it doesn’t matter to us because you can make more of those skill orbs, right?” Ria asked.

“Exactly. But it is nice to know that now the rollover can give you the skill orb if you already have Card Summoner.”

“... how expensive do you think those Card Summoner skill orbs will be?” Wilma asked.

“Honestly, no clue. I could see them being anything from like 20 gold coins all the way up to hundreds of gold. It all just depends on how well you know me, because, and I know I’ve said this before, Card Summoner is useless without a card from me.”

We decided to go up a floor, just so Wilma would have a little easier time with the challenge room. She can most likely take on a B-rank monster, but going up a floor is still better for safety.

Ria and I basically rolled through floor 6, clearing away the monsters on our way, and when we reached the challenge room, I opened the door for Wilma and of course opened up Dungeon Founder so we could watch.

The opponents that spawned to oppose Wilma were quite familiar, as I just took on not too different of a group yesterday. Her opponents were three skeleton knights and one skeleton mage. Not an easy opponent, but it should be manageable.

Wilma started off the fight doing something I didn’t expect at all. She opened her Item Box and pulled out a glass flask holding some sort of liquid. The liquid let off a faint silvery glow. She then shook the container for a second, before throwing it at the skeletons. It burst open midair, the contents raining down on the skeletons.

The mysterious liquid seemed to weaken the skeletons a lot, and was even damaging them.

(Don’t call it mysterious. It is standard holy water. Wilma asked Albus for some in preparation for the dungeon.) Laura told me.

… Fine. So the not so mysterious holy water rained down on the skeletons.

Wilma took advantage of the weak skeletons, moving in and hitting them with her hammer. Because of the damage they were still actively taking from the holy water, they didn’t defend well and Wilma’s hammer strikes sent the skeleton knights flying, while also putting some nice dents into their armor.

She then turned towards the skeleton mage, blocking a few fire spears with her shield while she approached and then smacked the skeleton mages skull with her hammer. The skull cracked a bit, but didn’t fully shatter, so Wilma wound her hammer back for a second strike, bringing it down on the skeleton mage again, this time completely crushing its skull.

Wilma then pulled out another flask of holy water and threw it at the skeleton knights. She followed right behind the holy water, striking one skeleton with her hammer, while using her shield to hold back another one. After sending the skeleton flying with her hammer, she rushed at the other one with her shield and shield bashed the skeleton, toppeling it to the ground. She then struck it with her hammer and the skeleton dusted away. With that, two skeleton knights remained.

Wilma focused on the closer of the two, the one she didn’t just send flying. She used the same shield bash to hammer strike combo to take it down.

“Stone, become my weapon, Stone Toss.” Wilma chanted an earth spell, sending a large rock flying at the last skeleton, following behind the flying rock.

Using the opening the rock caused, she used her hammer to strike at the skeleton knight, crushing its chest area and the skeleton began to dust away.

“Brian, why does this dungeon drop mithril hammers?” Wilma asked when she came back, holding a mithril hammer in her hands.

“Because why not?” I asked.

“Don’t you know that using mithril for a hammer is a massive waste. It just doesn’t weigh enough.”

“... well, you can always break it down and reuse the mithril.”

“What a waste. You really should fix that.” Wilma complained.

“I can try. Let’s head back to the core. I want to try hacking it.”

“... can I head up a floor? I want to smash more skeletons.” Ria asked.

“Sorry but no. Diamond Sword is coming and I don’t want to steal all the monsters from them.”

“Oh? Maybe I should challenge them?”

“Not here. If you want to, you can ask them for a match later at the adventurers’ guild.”

“F~Fine.”

With Ria in agreement, we headed back down towards the dungeon’s core.

There I used Enemy Controller to take an even better control of the dungeon so that I could see if I can actually force the dungeon core into making me Card Summoner skill orbs.
