Chapter 4: CH. 4. Little Theif.

Haije decided to leave Milia out of fighting, for the time being until she feels she is ready.

Right now jack, kakusa and johan where running towards a group of seven level 0 rabbits, the rabbits noticed the group that was running towards them, they immediately scattered into different directions, hopping with their fastest speed.

Jack selected one of the rabbits that wasn’t far from him, chasing it has fast as he could, shorting the distance between him and the rabbit. As soon as the rabbit was within reach, he stabbed his knife towards the rabbit’s back. The rabbit cried as the knife pierced deep into it, jack use his free hand to grab the rabbit's neck as he pulled out the knife and stab it into the rabbit multiple times, as the rabbit danced in pain, /ah, ah, ah/ jack shouted as he kept on stabbing the rabbit until it stopped moving, the rabbits body twitched a few times as blood poured out of it's different wounds.

▶bingo, you just learnt a new skill, continuous stabs. This skill increases the speed of the user's attack when he/she is stabbing an opponent more than one time, it does not use mp neither does it has limit to how long it can be used, as long as the user have stamina, it could be used anywhere, anytime◀

"wow, so I can learn new skills just by performing them, does that mean that I could learn different skills just by doing different things, von-noka didn’t tell me about that." jack taught.

▶congratulations you have completed the mission *kill 10 animals* your level has increased to lvl 1, you also have gotten a skill book, summon black spotted frog lvl 1◀ A black book appeared front of jack which he quickly caught, summon black spotted frog lvl 1, was written on the book. After killing ten level 0 rabbits, the mission given to jack was finally completed, leveling him up to level 1.

He also got 10 gold from killing the rabbits but 2 out of it was giving to haije according to the rule of the contract so he ended up with eight, "my status"

"it seems the stats increases according to the things I do," jack said as he opened the skill book he received. "ah," jack exclaimed as the book immediately turn into white light and shot into him. "the skill gives me the ability to summon a black spotted frog, I don’t see how a frog will help me in a fight, but maybe it will be useful sometime later…I could even cook it if I am hungry, but I don’t even know if I can get hungry in the game,"

"hey jack, haije says it time to move," johan said. It seemed he also got the same mission as jack because he was holding a skill book in his hand.

"you haven’t used your skill yet," jack asked, "yes, I plan to sell it, it is a skill I don’t need, baduk said I could sell it for 500 gold in the town shop," johan said as he kept the book in his inventory.

"ah," jack suddenly remembered he could sell things he didn’t need, the skill he got is an ordinary skill, that allows him to summon a frog, the strength of the frog depends on the level of the skill and how much wisdom he had, 'with the skill just in level one, the strongest frog I will be able to summon will just be level one, ah, if I knew I would have sold it'

While jack was complaining the rest of the group had gathered and began to move, jack quickly ran to meet them.

As they walked, Milia kept on looking at a skill book in her hand, it seemed like kakusa gave it to her, because Milia unlike them hadn’t killed a single creature, since they entered the forest, there was just no way she could have completed her mission. Unknown to them a monkey was also looking at the skill book in her hand.

The monkey had a necklace on its neck; it's legs and arms where thinner than normal monkeys, while its eyes were more than two times bigger than a normal monkey. It jumped from trees to trees following them as moved.

"sis, are you sure you don’t want it?" Milia asked kakusa.

"no don’t worry, when you get yours then, if you really want to you could give it to me," kakusa said.

"thanks," milia said as she put hand on the cover of the book, but before she could open it a brown figure shot down from the branches above them, shooting straight towards the book.

The figure stretch fort it's hand towards the book, but haije had reacted quickly, he sent out a blow towards the figure, but it seemed this particular figure couldn’t be under estimated also, it's spun in the air quickly dorging the blow, landed on the ground, then shot towards milia, hitting her seven meters away, she bounced twice before landing on the ground, the book that was in her hand had falling when she flew, it was just a little bit far for the monkey.

The monkey gave out a joyous shout as it ran towards the book.

"damn," haije cursed as he followed after the monkey. The monkey was in no way slower than haije, it shot towards the book, picked it up and continued to run forward without stopping.

"die bastard," haije cursed as his short sword appeared in his hand, he threw it with all the force he could towards the monkey.

As the monkey ran it heard the sound of the spinning sword, it quickly jumped to the side dorging the sword which shot pass him and stabbed into a tree at the front. The monkey’s eyes shined as it shot to the sword, planning to also steal it.

"you dare," haije face became twisted as he stumped his foot on the ground, pushing himself forward he threw out a punch, activating one of his skills, a black fist shot out from his fist, shooting straight towards the monkey.

The monkey grabbed the sword and was about to pull it out before the black fist came from it's back, -pu-ah- the fist struck the monkey, pushing it forwards, which happened the be towards the sword.

The monkey slammed the tree with force, as the sword handle pierced into the monkey’s stomach, killing it on the spot.

Haije panted as he walked towards the monkey, removing it from the sword, and then removed the sword from the tree. He picked up the dead monkey and tossed it towards baduk.

"thank you," milia said as she ran to pick up the skill book.

"hmm. create item, that is a good skill, a rare skill to come by, to tell you the truth I would also love to learn it but unfortunately it isn’t mine," haije said.

"why are you taking the dead monkey with you," gin asked.

"it could be sold in the town for little gold," haije answered

"o. so you are the ones that killed my monkey," while they were talking, without knowing a group of people had gotten close to them, the group consisted of four men, one of them wearing a hairy jacket holding a strange knife in his hand, looked to be their leader and also seemed to the person that spoke.

"so it was your group that sent that monkey," haije said, with anger, if he didn’t have that skill he wouldn’t have been able to recover his sword.

"I wasn’t watching it and it seemed to have run off and coursed a little problem for your group, i truly am sorry, I am also glad to see that none of you is dead," the man said.

"if that is all, we will be leaving," haije said as he waved his hand for the others to follow him.

"I truly apologize, but there is this necklace that my foolish monkey stole from me, I hope you will be a gentleman and return it to me," the man spoke with a half smile.

"eh, you did not watch over your own pet, it came and cause trouble for my team, almost killing one of my team members, I had to waste two of my precious potions to heal her and now you want to collect the spoils I got from battle, do you think I am a fool," haije shouted as he pulled out two empty bottles and show it to the other group.

"ah, that," the leader of the order group was shocked he didn’t think that such a kind of thing would happen, in fact he warn the monkey not to attack anybody more than once, but from what haije said, it seemed the monkey had attacked a particular girl more than once, and even after the girl drank a bottle of portion the monkey had still attacked her again almost killing her. "this," the man was trying to think of what he would say when milia who had been thinking since opened her mouth.

"Mr. haije, I can’t remember who the person is that the monkey almost killed, I only remember that it hit me, and my body felt weak then you pursued it and killed it," milia said as she tried to remember what she seem to have forgotten.

"what, so you were lying to me," the man shouted.
