Chapter 178: Traumatic Experience In My Memory

Guan Xian watched the gloomy Shen Residence getting smaller as he drove away. His long index finger rubbed his lips gently as he turned his gaze from the rearview mirror to Tang Yu Bin. 

"Turn around," he quietly ordered for the third time.

Tang Yu Bin nods his head and does as Guan Xian's command almost immediately. Tang Yu Bin steal some glances at Guan Xian and immediately regret after doing so.

In Tang Yu Bin's eyes, Guan Xian is a charismatic boss. He is not cold or stern, but he gained respect from all his colleagues and employee with his warm and friendly personality. He is a naturally born leader, passionate, and perfectionist in his way. 

Tang Yu Bin has worked for Guan Xian for three years. Never once he saw Guan Xian exude a cold and frosty aura like this. Guan Xian carries much emotion, but the temperature around him had dropped by a few degrees. 

If Tang Yu Bin could share his opinion right now, he wanted to say that his boss, Guan Xian, has never been this terrifying. Forget about anger or fury. What scares Tang Yu Bin the most is the shades of sadness on his eyes.

"Boss, Miss Xia (and you) looks sad. Maybe we've misunderstood her," Tang Yun Bin said quietly, hoping Guan Xian would not mind his impudence. 

"Misunderstood?" Guan Xian's lips twitched as he turned to look at Tang Yu Bin slowly. 

"Yes, I don't think she would do something that we think-"

"We think? What do we think about?" 

Now Guan Xian got interested and stared at Tang Yu Bin with a sharp gaze. Tang Yu Bin felt as if he just entered a field full of mine. He tried to walk carefully, but he still accidentally triggered Guan Xian. 

"Hm? What do we think about?" Guan Xian repeated for a second time because Tang Yu Bin went quiet for quite some time.

Tang Yu Bin felt a chill on his back. Sweat started to form on his neck facing Guan Xian's striking coldness. He swallowed hard his saliva as he tried to arrange his word into a sentence that won't provoke Guan Xian. 

"Well, Ms. Xia leaving with Mr. Ruan Jing Tian after revealing the news to the peers doesn't mean she will che-"

"Tang Yu Bin! You stop right there!" Guan Xian suddenly strengthened his back and point at Tang Yu Bin with widened eyes.

Tang Yu Bin is surprised. He closed his mouth and stopped his sentence immediately. 

"That is not what I am thinking! And I don't want to hear that words! Along with 'she wanted to leave me' sort of phase," Guan Xian looks cautious and wary as he warns Tang Yu Bin quietly. 

Tang Yu Bin's jaw almost dropped when he faced Guan Xian's palm.

"This conversation and experience might impart as traumatic experience in my memory," Guan Xian said to himself as he shook his head in denial frantically. He leans his back to his seat and once again looking at Shen's residence with dramatic eyes. 

Tang Yu Bin: "..." 

If you aren't thinking of that, how could that become a traumatic experience that would last in your memory? 

Also, weren't he is in his sad and depressed period?

How can a person turn a complete agony into comedy within a second?

Alas, Tang Yu Bin felt his boss is more complicated than a woman. He could never understand his boss.

Tang Yu Bin was about to reach Shen's residence entrance, both his phone and Guan Xian's phone suddenly rang at the same time.  Tang Yu Bin put on his Bluetooth ear device to picked up the call while Guan Xian ignores his ringing phone. 

The car runs at a slow pace as Tang Yu Bin listens to the caller's voices carefully. It eventually stopped when Tang Yu Bin widens his eyes and turned to Guan Xian with color left his face. 

"Boss! Something happens to Miss Guan Xiao Ni! An article accused her of being a third party in Mr. Xavier Maximillo's marriage. It affected the stock right away. Mr. Guan Lin Yi called for an emergency board of director meeting. They are expecting your presence right now," Tang Yu Bin summarized the new information he got most virtually. 

Guan Xian closed his eyes forcefully when he heard Tang Yu Bin. A deep frowned decorated his already poor expression. Messaging the bridge of his eyes to ease the pang of headache in his eyes, he had no choice but to said, "Go to the company."

The situation is direr than Guan Xian thought. He spends almost all day long normalizing the company situations after Xia Sha releases her article. The board director is already unhappy with him. This time Xiao Ni got dragged into the mud-

Initially, father Guan wanted to refuse and hope mother Guan could be considerate. But who could work after mother Guan dropped the bomb. 

"YOU AREN'T GOING TO COME BACK? YOUR DAUGHTER RIGHT HERE SAID SHE WANTED TO GET MARRY!"

"WHAT?!!!!" Father Guan shouted out loud. He looks so surprised that he stood up instantly. Guan Xian dropped his pen when he heard her mother's voice (even though father Guan did not put her on speaker).

"Marry? My little sister is getting married?" Guan Xian proceeds with the brand new information. He looked like a fool even after father Guan dragged him back to the Guan mansion. 

He could only recover after Wang Kai let out a controversial statement.

"Grandfather, Grandmother, Father, Mother, Aunt, Uncle, and Guan Xian, for today trouble, Xiao Ni and I decided to have a press conference press and explain everything. The PR team has gathered the evidence for repairing our reputation in public. Also, we are getting married!" 

"HAH!" Grandfather Guan widen his eyes. 

"WHAT?" Father Guan Lin Yi shouted. 

"WHAT THE HELL?" Guan Xian finally responded after recovering from his 'error state'. 

"THANK GOD THEY FINALLY COME TO THEIR SENSE!" Mother Guan is the only member of the Guan family who expressed happiness from Wang Kai's words. 

Guan Xian could not even differentiate or understand his feeling towards his little sister right now. 

Forget Wang Kai and Xiao Ni's betrayal for crossing the brother code! Guan Xian could accept this since he had witnessed how painful separation for them. 

Forget Wang Kai using and manipulating into giving a blessing for their relationship after Wang Kai broke Xiao Ni's heart!

Forget Xiao Ni being annoying and sometimes evil- in amidst their fight. And how he could never hate her for being such a tell a tale.

He tried to tolerate and closed his eyes to their relationship. He let his best brother and little sister date. It's hard enough for him. But what is this? Marriage?

Guan Xian did not bother to listen to the rest of the discussion. He gritted his teeth and made up his mind to knock some sense into Xiao Ni's brain. 

He did not realize what happened. But when he does, he had wrapped Xiao Ni into a burrito with a blanket. Wang Kai is nowhere to be found, and he is glad for that! For he could glare at Xiao Ni and lecture her with words of wisdom. 

But when does he ever make Xiao Ni listen to his words willingly. Guan Xian had to give Xiao Ni an earful explanation to make her reconsider her decision, but Xiao Ni did not even seem to hear him. 

"Dare you to go marry him? I'll break your leg!" Guan Xian threatened when he had nothing to said no more. 

"Brother..." Xiao Ni looked at him with puppy eyes face, one that could always melt his anger. 

However, with Xia Sha and Ruan Jing Tian's departing images still vivid in his mind, Guan Xian toughened his heart. 

Xiao Ni tried several ways to soften Guan Xian's anger, but nothing work. That is when she started to squinted her eyes and observed Guan Xian's face. Finally, after quite some time, Xiao Ni manages to make Guan Xian run to hug her. 

"Brother, did something happen to Xia Sha or your relationship? I could help you, you know? If you let 'unwrapped me,'" Burrito Xiao Ni tried to negotiate. 

"!!!" 

Guan Xian hesitantly agreed.
