Chapter 2: Ch1 Becoming a place of peace

Several Cleaning Cicles passed after the incident with the wave. The pond was slowly getting the hand of being a pond. A magical pond to say.

Most skills did level up, he did even get a new skill called Absorb after...absorbing a corpse. He didn't think that his Posion Water akill would literally insta kill a boar! 

The first to come to his territory to drink some water was that boar. It was all good but that thing jumped into him which instantly made him lose 10 Cleaness! 

Angry he tried the Poison skill. He instantly regreted it. The boar died and a constant -1 Cleaness did pop uf before him.

After it dropped to almost 30 he finally thought about getting rid of the whole boar. His Body Controll wasn't strong enough to push it out from him so he thought really hard. 

He finally remember that water gets absorbed by surroundings, so why coulsn't he absorb? Thats when the boar slowly melted into him and gave a boost to cleaness.

He still didn't know what pure water of spring did though. It did level up but there were no changes. He didn't know but all his visitors did.

After that incident the water of the pond became suddenly much smoother and even helped with fatique, pain and other bad symptoms! 

Slowly the animals and monsters around began to change the perspective of how they thought of the pond they used. 

Most understood soon that they could drink from the water, they shouldn't be too dirty. A boar made the prime example of that.

After that was the rule of no littering. A water bird tried to drench his prey for better consumption. Wasn't long after that water rose and the bird also didn't come up anymore.

Soon a year pased outside, dor the pond it was several Cleaning Cicles.

The pond was happy that after the Clean skill got to level A that there was an additional one, Self Cleaning! He still did need to clean the bigger dirt incidents but nothing it annoyed him.

Maybe it had something to do that the animals and monster which came here did stop fighting and even.. cleaned themself before drinking?

It was soon after it got the Watermind skill to B, at which point it could easily make the outlines of everything within several dozen meters radius outside of its body, that it saw the thirsty ones do that!

"Mhmm, I came along way! Its good to finaly know when it's day or night. Still, to be here and do nothing than watch me getting slurped and the same scenery everyday is kind of boring."

It was finally to be unable to sit still anymore. Should it try to leave here? With the Body Control skill it should be doable. It was just scared if Cleaness fell to 0. Who knew what counted as it being dirtied! If it only could communicate with or just exchange pleasures with these animals.

They seem to got more and more sapient. First the cleaning themself, now they even bowed and roared/grunted before drinking.

-Skill gained Telepathy

"Were my prayers heard? Can I finally taök to someone?" Before trying out the new skill the pond has gotten it flew over its skill menu.

It instantly found the most likely reason for the new skill. It's sapience turned from B to A. It gave itself a mental thumb up and looked for its first target.

Squirell, no. Boar, not likely either. At that moment did the wolf which was somehow like a chief around here come.

It lifted its front paws and studied them carefully. After nodding to itself it lowered its head to the pond and with a gentle motion let its paw drop into the water.

At first there was no change but because the pond watched it with a skill not with physical eyes it saw something which made it feel weird.

"This wolf actually is now part of my body? What the hell!" Yes, if it focused it's Watermind skill on it, it could see several meters around the wolf. Maybe it could be used as a portable watching device?

"Wolf? I'm not a wolf! I'm a proud Star Mountain Wolf! Who is there! Show yourself!" The wolf was questioning it's sanity. Was there another one of its kind here? How come, he evolved through sheer luck into this form.

The pond was excited to see a reaction from the wolf, it didn't understand him though. The skill was probably to low or he needed to learn...wolfish?

"Hey big fella! I'm the pond you are spitting your saliva in. Could you stop that? I am the one who needs to clean myself. I can't understand you though. Could you nod two times if you understand me?" That was one of the more simple methods to know if the big wolf really understood him.

The Star Mountain Wolf was shocked. The pond!? It gazed at the pond with surprise and horror. This pond was alive? It would make sense! It nodded twice to show that it understood it. 

"Whoa finally! Not being able to sleep and just being here alone made me question my sanity! It seems we still got the problem of exchanging words with each other though." The pond was happy, a little step is still a part of a journey!

The wolf was slowly accepting the reality. They all knew that the pond before them was changing. Let alone the weird things happening in it. The water made them less instinctual and more thinking before action!

They weren't all at a level at which they could communicate but they all knew the perks of this pond.

A sip from it could regenerate wounds, heal illness and even gave them all nutrition they needed. That not even included the boost to their intelligence. The last time some of them eat flesh was over a year ago and only because a bear came to their territory.

After a round of back and forth, the wolf and pond finally agred to a simple form of communication. Noding and turning head.

The other inhabitants of the mountain looked at the wolf with strange eyes. Did he finally snap after not eating flesh? Should they make a run for it?

" Is the reason that you clean yourself and bow towards me because of my water?" That was one of the things the pond really wanted to know. He had a suspicion about the PWoS skill which he didn't know what it did.

Sure enough the wolf nodded his head. In conclusion, that skill of his made his water have probably some effects which made them woreship him as some kind of deity. As for what exactly, that would be for something in the future.

The wolf didn't know what to think of it. Did it mean that the pond before them didn't do it out of concern for their races? It was all luck on their side?

Most of the inhabitants knew that outside the world was a thing called human. They plunderd and killed as they like. Even their own kind was seen slain and left to rot. Which animal or monster killed something out of fun? 

Well, there were but those were hunted without mercy from them. There were also human seen who defended their race but they were far in-between.

"You should know that I can just poison you all if I wanted..I wouldn't do that but hey you never know!" First hit them with the stick after that give the carrot!

The wolf flinched after it heard that. So it was poison! They all thought that those who unfortunately died were defaming their pond. Did that mean everybody who drank from here?

It couldn't go on with the thought process out of pure fear, they would be doomed. It silently noded its head while shivering.

"Good! I would like to strike a deal with you!...." The wolf sighed after the pond explained its detailed plan. It nod towards the pond and howled to the sky which made the other animals looking at him beside the pond feeling weird.

Emergency meeting? Why? Did you really lose your sanity! The wolf made its way towards the mountain too and left the pond. Soon did the other animals and monster with a higher sapience join it atop of it. It tried its best to explain what the mighty pond wanted from them.

1. Bring carcasses of the dead to me

2. No more bathing inside of me, meaningless how clean you are.

3. The ones with the highest sapience should come and talk to the pond everyday for one hour.

4. No bloody fights within hundred meters of the pond.
