Chapter 9: Books and Points!

Now, there were five people behind Crow's back, the criminal who was engaged in a fight with a group of three didn't seem to care, since there were still many targets left for him, he wasn't stupid to dare challenge a C ranker, for something as easily solvable as this.

Instead, he focused all his attention on the three fightings him, yes, he was very strong, but they were three against him, and they were all quite strong by themselves, so he did suffer some scratches from them, but they didn't take much before he had killed another one of them.

The other two wanted to flee away, but they couldn't, since as soon as they turn their behinds to him, they were sure to die, one of them screamed looking at Crow, "Please, help us, please!".

But Crow only looked at him silently, he truly didn't enjoy seeing what was happening, after all, he wasn't a murderer, still, if he helped them, and had to face them in the next test, who knew if they wouldn't get him to lose, in strength, there was no way he would lose.

But who said anything about the test being about strength? for all Crow could know, it could be about singing, and of course, he was very bad at that, so in the end, he had no choice but to watch.

As for the five behind him, he didn't consider them as large of a threat, and couldn't just let them die after they offered to help him make more points, something that wasn't only necessary for his life inside the nine worlds.

But could even decide the fate of some tests he will be taking in the future according to the Robot, there was only one guy he helped without asking for payment from, and that was the orange-haired guy, that was due to him possessing a B rank item.

The healing card is a card that heals most injuries and works three times before it's depleted. Crow was sure that he would need the help of such a card in his future inside the nine worlds.

It was at this point, that one of the four that had come with the model girl, Zafira, spoke, he sounded quite angry as he said, "This isn't fair! why does he get protection without paying?".

Crow looked at him, picked him up, and threw him toward the where the prisoner was fighting the last two of the group. the entire place was silent, as no one had expected such a thing.

As soon as the guy hit the ground with a thud! he brushed the blood from his nose, as his body started shivering from fear instantly, he looked at Crow and started screaming, some tears even started forming around his eyes.

"Ahhh! no...I am sorry, please, I am sorry, I won't ever question you again, please, don't let me die!", the criminal hadn't acted against him yet, first, because he was still engaged in a fight at the moment, and second, because he was waiting to see what Crow would do.

"Don't touch him!", said Crow, in a loud voice, so that the criminal could hear, the man had already started running to get back with the group behind Crow.

The prisoner wasn't happy with this much, since he had started to feel like he was being belittled a bit too much by Crow, but he still didn't say a thing.

After all, his life would be over in seconds if he tried to go against a C ranker, he knew his limits, he hadn't even defeated this group of four, so how could he even dare go fight against Crow.

Still, he hated being treated like this, the only thing he could do, was to get stronger and stronger, unless he did that, this feeling would never go away, unfortunately, that was how this world operated.

Even the Reader got away with so many things, due to his abominable strength!

It didn't take the man much time to get back to his original position, he kept looking at Crow, as his body continued shivering from fear, he still couldn't believe what had just happened, he never expected something of the sort to happen.

The same thing was happening with the others, Zafira looked at Crow, and remembered how she wanted to entice him with her beauty for his help, she chuckled at herself, and understood, that it was only because they would be paying him 950 points, that he was protecting them at the moment.

After about another two minutes or so, and when the prisoner had just killed the last one of the group he was fighting, a small blue portal opened up high up in the air, from which came out the Robot.

There were only 36 participants left now, the prisoner had killed six people in total. His body was drenched in blood, and a terrible smell drifted out of him, he looked at the corpse of the final one he had just killed by piercing his heart.

No one was able to know what he was thinking about, but his crazy smile had long disappeared, he turned to look at the Robot who had just appeared in the air.

The Robot gestured to the prisoner to stop, and looked at the other participants as he said, "The viewers enjoyed this little show so much, they decided to reward you with bonus points!".

The participants weren't happy with all this killing being an enjoyment, but they still felt a little happy when they heard the word "Bonus", though in the next second that also changed.

"Hahaha! look at you idiots, the bonus points are only for the killer, Saul, and the protector, Crow! you thought I was talking about you? bunch of stupid monkeys!", said the Robot, as he laughed hard at the disappointed and sad expressions of the participants.

"Well, enough of that for now, your books have been given to you now, they will appear beside any moment now, remember, these books are everything here! with them, we will be giving you 1000 points!", the Robot had stopped for a second, to let everyone see their book appear in front of them.

The books looked normal-sized, and were floating beside every one of the participants, Crow's book was brown. Zafira's was yellow, Saul's was black, and Emily's was green.

"As I said, Saul and Crow will be receiving bonus points from the viewers! Saul for his amazing display of killing, pretty much every time new participants arrive, they just stand around waiting for the supervisor to explain the rules of the first test! but this time, you gave the viewers a good show even before the main event had started!", said the Robot.

At this point, a notification appeared on everyone's book, it read the following, "You have been given 1000 points". and a second later, another notification appeared on the blonde-haired guy, Saul, the prisoner.

It said, "You have received 3000 points from the viewers as a bonus for the good show you provided them!". The Robot then looked at Crow, who had received a similar notification.

Only this one read, "You have received 5000 points from the viewers, for your amazing display of dominance!".

Crow smiled as he thought to himself, 'Hah! I can get bonus points just for being strong, han? I am starting to like these viewers, still, for them to enjoy this as if it was a show! dammit! they really do view us as nothing more than entertainment!'.

'Ah! what can I do about it? nothing, I am only here to win the Curer, that's my goal, I shouldn't care about all of this stuff!'.

"Amm! how do we make contracts, exchange information, and points and the such?", asked the beautiful looking blonde girl, Zafira. The Robot replied almost immediately, "Just send an invitation with your mind, once accepted by the other person, think of a number, write it down, and send it to the other person's book, it's all on page two!".

"Same thing with creating a contract! but for that one, it's on page three, be aware, that you will be punished if you violate the rules of the contract, if a punishment is not included, then you're free to scam the other person, and as such, a punishement should always be included in any contract you make!", said the Robot.

Suddenly, five people sent requests to Crow's book, Crow was surprised to see even the orange-haired guy join them, he, of course, accepted them, and after a few seconds, a total of 4750 points were sent to him.

Making the total amount of points he had earned without even moving, 10750 points!

Still, this wasn't as much as the record holder for acquiring the most amount of points before the first test had even begun, that person's total was 14 thousand points!

The Robot smiled as he looked at Crow, and said, "You're really lucky, aren't you, Crow Rovern? anyway, now, let us talk about the rules of your first test, which will be called, "The Delivery"!".
