Chapter 3: Chapter no 3: Starting as a Newbie Adventurer.

After I fell asleep thinking about the future I woke up early in the morning. Alright time to get ready and go to work. Let’s see what we have left , I have about 20 coppers left which will not let me survive for like 3 or 4 days at max so I really have to go do some work. I ready myself and went downstairs an to my joy Fiona was there as well looking reminiscing and lonely so I went there and greeted her and ask for the breakfast. I ate something light toast and coffee so I will be able to work energetically.

After eating talking about random stuff and watching beautiful Fiona I was about to go out to the adventurer’s guild but I suddenly stopped cause it struck me that I didn’t even have a dagger so I shamelessly went to Fiona who Was in the kitchen and asked her.

Umm sorry to bother you but do you have a knife that I can borrow for a while you see the daggers and knives are really expensive and I don’t have much money. I promise I will return it as soon as I can. At first she was shocked but after an initial shock she smiled and gave me a nearby knife which had a sheath as well.

Thank you Miss Fiona I will return it soon, it’s fine maash you can have it. It was just lying around I don’t even use that anymore and we have plenty more of them. After this embarrassed moment I thanked her and went on my way to the adventure’s guild.

I walked in to a much crowded guild with man adventurers being everywhere. There were any sword wielders men even some women. Also there was a woman who was more buffed then any men there and had a broadsword strapped to her back. There were mages dressed in a robe mostly and archers as well as clerics and other classes as well. What really made me happy was there were elves dwarfs and other races present as well and the elves were just amazing I couldn’t take my eyes off of them. And I also spotted a skimpy dressed dark elf as well.

After I got an eyeful of those busty mages and elves I went to the bulletin board which had quest hung up there. There were many quest to slay horned rabbit , wolves , dire wolves as well as many other quest but the f rank ones were really not much it gives some coppers as well as in rare case some silver.

I searched them and it was mostly quests to help out in the house or gather some normal herbs or to find lost pets in the city. I quickly abandoned the quests to find pets case it was a hassle and I don’t know where they are or if they are alive or not. So I went on and skimmed through the rest of them and I quickly found something I can do, it was a simple quest to find herbs for cold which was available at the outskirts of the forest I can from.

So I took that quest to the reception got it accepted and then went on my way to gather them, it was pretty simple and bring I just had to walk to the forest and gather the herbs. This whole quest took me 4 hours to complete and the reward was 1 silver but it was not something big but still I went again and completed another similar task.

And the total I got was 2 silver.  It was fine for now but I still have to have more money if I want to be something more than an F rank adventurer so I went to train myself for the rest of the day with basic exercises I still don’t know what kind of talent i have if in magic or fighting so I just trained myself physically and hope to have at least one magic attribute I possess.

Life went on with me completing these quest but after a few days I decided to try using E rank quests so I went and took a quest to kill 8 horned rabbits and went of my way so to the forest. It took a while to search for these rabbits and was surprisingly hard to kill these horned rabbits I took one at the same time. But progress was good I felt myself getting sharper as I went to fight more and more rabbit. One rabbit almost pierced my chest but I was lucky I got away in the nick of time. But all in all this quest was good for training and money as well I got 1 silver per  rabbit and I had sufficient money to buy a dagger so I returned the kitchen knife, which she refused to  take back but she did after I insisted enough.

After slaying these rabbit and doing normal herb collecting task for a month I decided to rest for couple of days so I just lazed around. And went early to have breakfast. I think Fiona should be downstairs at this moment, she is always alone at the morning looking sad as she is thinking about something.  Sigh! She would look so much beautiful if she wears other than black not that she looks bad in her black dress. I wouldn’t lie I have developed a crush on her, well she is perfectly my type mature busty and kind.

So to get breakfast I went downstairs to meet Fiona and have some breakfast, There I saw Fiona’s father talking to her. listen honey it’s been 3 years already how much longer are you going to mourn for him. Albert is gone he chose to work as an adventurer knowing that he can die at any random quest any day and you knew that as well. You need to move on now it’s not healthy for you to be stuck like this in your life find someone new ad settle down your life to spend don’t waste it please. Sigh! I know father she replied with moist eyes, it’s just that I can’t get over him. I loved him so much ye he just left me like that.

Sigh! Her father sighed visibly, ok I am not going force it’s just that I can’t see you suffering like that, so please just give someone a chance who appreciates you ok. Alright father.

Someone listening to her giving chance to a random guy eaves a bad taste in my mouth so I just get going to the guild without her knowing that I went away because I always talk to her and get breakfast from her early in the morning. I also like her as well should I ask her out?

Sigh! It isn’t this simple, she doesn’t see me like that, I need to present myself as someone reliable and, I need to earn myself some good cash and a house I can’t ask her to marry me like that I want to present myself as a man worthy of her and not just any random kid who is struggling to be an adventurer.
