After a leisurely 25-minute stroll amidst breathtaking trees and statues, Kiron and his companions finally arrived at the sprawling courtyard. Kiron bid farewell, eager to report to Drac and ensure everything was in order on their side.
King Aerin, the ruler of the realm, jokingly asked Queen Safira, "Don't tell me the mighty Dragon Queen sired a child? The other Ancient God Beasts must be quaking in their boots!" as he chuckled lightly.
Queen Safira, with a warm smile, replied, "As if any man could match my standards. It's a long story, let me explain. But first, children, why don't you show Fenris around?" The children agreed with glee, and Safira thanked Fenris for taking them away.
With a deep breath, Safira began recounting her tale. She spoke of her reconnaissance mission into the forest, where she stumbled upon a group of ogres feasting on a child. Fury boiled within her, causing her aura to briefly flare, but she quickly regained control.
With tears in her eyes, she recounted waste to the beasts and found him in a cage, likely destined to be their next meal. Overcome with gratitude, she kissed him, thankful that she was able to save him.
Determined to find his family, Safira set out on a quest to locate any kin who might be like him.
However, the King and Queen had never seen anyone like him, even on the many planets they had visited. With nowhere else to turn, Safira decided to seek your help.
King Aerin and Queen Estel were shocked and horrified by Safira's story. They agreed that only true monsters would inflict such atrocities upon innocent children.
"How heinous, to harm innocent children," Queen Estel exclaimed, her face twisted in disgust.
King Aerin nodded in agreement, "Indeed, the poor child must have suffered greatly in his short life."
Queen Safira sighed, her eyes fixed on him. "That's why I'm so determined to find out who he is and what race he belongs to. He deserves a stable life."
King Aerin then pulled out a tablet. "What's that, Aerin?" asked Queen Safira.
"Our new peace treaty grants us access to this device," King Aerin explained with a smile. "It has information on all the races, beasts, and monsters, as well as plants and dangerous flora.
If a planet is on here, we have all the details." King Aerin began searching for races that matched Fenris's appearance.
"Those eyes are truly remarkable," Queen Estel said, captivated. "I wonder what lineage he has."
"I've never seen an Immortal with eyes like that, nor a high-ranking God," Queen Safira added.
"He could be the son of a new God or even a mortal."
"A mortal? No way," King Aerin questioned.
"How could a mortal child make it to this realm so quickly?"
"It's possible, although the chances are low," Queen Safira pointed out.
King Aerin's search proved fruitless. "Dammit, nothing on the database," he said, frustration evident in his voice.
Queen Safira's face fell. "I didn't think it would work," she said. "That's why I think we might need to use your soul scanner. Can we use it?"
King Aerin rose to his feet, a regal presence exuding from his every fibre. "Indeed, we shall. It will be an honour to uncover information on the young boy," he proclaimed.
Queen Safira beamed with gratitude. "Your generosity knows no bounds, Your Majesties. All I desire is to find a home for the adorable child," she said, rising from her seat.
Queen Estel graced her with a warm smile. "No thanks needed, my dear Safira. You are family and have done so much for us. It is our pleasure to repay your kindnesses," she said, taking Safira's arm as they walked together.
The trio made their way through the grand halls of the castle, towards the laboratory where the soul scanner was kept.
In a time when races mixed and identities were unknown, the leaders of the top Immortal races came together to gather information. After years of research, testing and analysis, they created the ultimate tool to read everything about a being - even beyond the mortal realm. As races intertwined, no one knew what powers or attributes they may have inherited.
Queen Safira marvelled at the beauty of the castle. "It is simply stunning. The fusion of nature and art is breathtaking," she praised.
Queen Estel blushed with pride. "Thank you, Safira. King Aerin designed the structure, but I painted the pictures," she said, flashing a grin at Safira.
"You have done a fantastic job," Safira complimented, smiling back at Estel.
Estel gestured towards a nearby room. "Come, look at this lovely one. It has you in it," she said, leading the way.
King Aerin strode over to his office and retrieved the master key to the machine.
Meanwhile, Safira gazed in awe at the painting in the room, depicting a pivotal moment from the war she fought alongside a younger Prince Aerin.
In the image, she stood victorious over fallen evil Elfs, including King Aerin's father, with the two moons casting brilliant white light in the background.
As the celebration of their victory in the war echoed throughout the Elfs' kingdom, the Elfs cheer in unison. Queen Safira, the hero of the battle, had defeated the evil father of King Aerin and brought peace to the land.
"This painting is simply breathtaking, Queen Estel,", admiring the detailed depiction of the war. "How do you recall every intricate detail so perfectly?" Asked Queen Safira
Queen Estel's eyes twinkled with a hint of love. "It's easy, my dear. That was the day I fell in love with King Aerin.
Not only did you save our future clan, but you also captured my heart."

King Aerin chuckled, "I only did what was necessary. I fought for the clan I grew up in and to rid the world of evil. That's all."
A guard of Safira's marvelled at the painting before them. "Safira, was that you in the battle? I've never seen you fight in a war, just small skirmishes. I can hardly imagine you losing."
Queen Safira let out a hearty laugh. "Thank you. I was quite the fighter in my day."
King Aerin stepped beside her, holding the key to their victory. "Thank you, Safira. If it weren't for you, I may have been taken or killed." He smiled warmly at her.
Queen Safira leaned into him. "Anything for the little elf who wouldn't give up trying to wield my big sword."
Queen Estel piped up, "Would you like to see the art gallery, Safira?"
With a nod of agreement, Queen Estel led the way to the room filled with paintings and sculptures. As they walked through the gallery, Queen Safira admired each piece with wonder and awe.
"Queen Estel," she said, "I would like to commission a painting. One of you all in my castle, hanging on my wall."
Queen Estel beamed with excitement. "Of course, would you like to be in it as well? I can start thinking of different concepts right now."
Queen Safira pondered for a moment, her eyes shining with excitement, "Hmmm... Yes, that would be a delightful idea. May I also request a portrait with me and Fenris beside this adorable young one?"
"No problem at all, Your Majesty," the Queen replied with a smile.
Queen Safira's eyes sparkled with delight, "You hear that cutie? I'll have a portrait of us together, so I'll never forget you."
King Aerin chimed in, clapping his hands together, "That's so sweet. I'm sure it will turn out wonderful... Now, why don't we give that portrait a name on it?"
"Yes, please!" Safira exclaimed eagerly, "I can hardly wait to learn more about this charming young one."
With that, King Aerin motioned for them to leave, leading the way to the laboratory filled with advanced equipment.
He instructed Safira to place the young boy on the examination table and told her the machine would need to scan him for five minutes, so it would be best for him to lie down.
Gently, Safira placed the young boy on the table and planted a soft kiss on his forehead. "Stay brave for me, little one," she whispered, holding her hand up to show him she wasn't going anywhere.
As King Aerin began attaching suction cups and symbols to the boy's chest, the young one's eyes remained fixed on Safira's reassuring smile.
Queen Estel observed the scene and remarked with a hint of awe, "You care for him deeply, don't you? I can see it in your eyes, that you would destroy anything that dared harm him."
Safira's gaze shifted from the boy to Estel, her eyes narrowing. "I would do far worse," she declared, her voice cold and unwavering. "I would wipe out their entire race from every realm and universe."
King Aerin and Queen Estel shuddered at the thought.
Just then, the children and Fenris walked in, their excitement palpable. "Mom and dad, you're here!" they exclaimed upon seeing the boy on the table. "Can we stay and watch the machine work?"
Safira nodded, but warned them, "You may stay, but be quiet. We don't want to frighten him." She then made a 'shh' gesture to emphasize her point.
"Let's begin the scan," King Aerin announced, tapping on the device's runes.
The starting sound made the boy jump, but he relaxed when he saw Safira's smile still shining brightly.
Five minutes later, a ding signalled the scan's completion. King Aerin transferred the data to the projection screen as Safira checked on the boy, making sure he was alright.
"This is impossible," King Aerin muttered, his voice filled with disbelief. Safira turned to the screen, her heart pounding with anticipation.
