The Military Police Department otherwise known as the MPD was a force to be reckoned with. It was made up of soldiers who had fought in the previous wars, who had been given a choice to either continue their service as enforcers of the law or be discharged into the civilian population. Those who chose to continue their service were given advanced training in law enforcement and equipped with the latest technology to help them in their duties.
The department was responsible for maintaining order in the city, and they were not afraid to use excessive force if necessary. They were equipped with advanced body armor and weapons, and they had access to drones, dropships, and other high-tech tools to aid them in their duties.
Their headquarters was a high tech Marble building in the center of the city, it was equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by some of the most highly trained personnel in the department. It was a symbol of the power and authority in Omega Sector.
The soldiers who served in the Military Police were feared by the population. They were seen as a very blunt force, their methods were also very blunt and direct.
There were none like it however, other Mega cities that have survived the war had other law enforcement type alternatives, but by far the MPD in Omega Sector was the most organized rubble out of the trash.
Equally powerful and yet divided power structures exist. Soldiers who didn’t join the MPD often resorted to crime, and gang related activities. Causing a tug of war, where they both try to pull the other down.
The criminals weren’t lacking in firepower either, often they would have salvaged goods from the black market. However, some are particularly powerful as old super weapons from the previous wars.
Such as Nova Cannon Arm cannon, once wielded by the Killing AI robots that once tried to take over the world. It was a sledgehammer of destruction, the nova cannon was capable of delivering a crushing blow to any structure or vehicle by collapsing the atom molecules due to its heat; like a sun in a bottle, the plasma burns with the intensity of a star, and it has the power to destroy anything in its path.
The MPD command structure was very rudimentary. They split the city into 5 sectors, North, East, West, South, and last but not least the Inner walls.
Each sector consisted of 1-2 Captains who oversaw their companies roughly comprising several hundred active officers as well as hundred support roles. Quite low on manpower to maintain order in a mega city as big as Omega, luckily they were primarily there to maintain a power structure more than anything.
One such Captain was Captain L. Luck, the captain of the 7th Company, was a veteran of the 10th World War. His head was completely bald, but he had a thick mustache that covered his upper lip. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, people listened
Luck was a veteran of many battles, and the scars on his face and body were a testament to his service. He had a no-nonsense attitude and an uncompromising sense of duty. In fact that’s what he hoped for the most, to maintain some sort of sense of duty or honor.
What he wanted was simple, and he hoped to at least represent some resemblance of it, it was Justice. But he had no particular combat strength, rather he was fully human or so he told himself. More specifically 90 percent human.
He was cybernetically modified after the war, installing some implants so that he may better withstand the harsh reality of the world that is. He was respected by his men but looked down upon by the other Captains.

Whispers that his rise to Captain was due to political reasons was thrown around. Or perhaps pity for the unmodified man. He didn’t mind, he knew his existence was only temporary, but he was willing to give it his all.
Captain Luck sat at his desk, his eyes focused on the papers in front of him. He was deep in thought when there was a knock on the door. "Come in," he said, his voice deep and commanding.
The door opened and one of his subordinates walked in. The man was visibly nervous, his hands were shaking and he seemed to be having trouble making eye contact.
"Captain," the man said, his voice trembling. "I have some bad news."
The captain looked up, his eyes piercing. "Report," he said, his voice firm.
The subordinate took a deep breath and began. "Sir, we've received report one of our outposts in Sector 9 has been… destroyed”
The captain's expression didn't change, but his eyes narrowed. "Destroyed?" he asked.
"Some type of explosive, sir," the subordinate said. "There were no survivors."
The captain leaned back in his chair, his eyes still focused on the subordinate. "So, what's our plan of action?" he asked.
"We're working on it, sir," the subordinate said. "We're trying to gather more information and find the culprit. B-but… judging from the situation we may need your permission to mobilize more troops."
The captain nodded. "You'll have it," he said. "We will not let these criminals destroy our city. We will do whatever it takes to protect the citizens and maintain order."
The subordinate nodded, a look of relief on his face. The captain stood up and placed a hand on the subordinate's shoulder. "You did well to bring this to my attention," he said. "Dismissed."
The subordinate saluted, turned and left the office. The captain sat back down at his desk, his eyes focused on the papers in front of him. He was deep in thought, planning his next move. He was the Captain of the Military Police Department, he would not let this act slide. He was willing to match punch for punch to whomever it was.
