Chapter 12: Chapter 10 Part 2

As soon as she appeared outside, she heard screams and fighting from all directions. The roar of the zombies is accompanied by the sounds of chewing and breaking bones. When she saw a woman being eaten alive by a zombie in front of her, her legs went weak and she fell to the ground.

Clasping her mouth tightly, her eyes were full of horror while tears rolled down her cheeks. The woman looked at her with pain and despair in her eyes. She could see the trembling lips of the woman saying, “Help me, I don’t want to die.”

Not daring to let out any sounds, Liu Qinghe crawled to the corner behind the gas station before she vomited. Sitting there weakly, her mind went blank with shock. The scene of the woman being eaten alive was clearly imprinted in her mind.

Her body began to tremble and her face was ashen. She took a deep breath and returned to her space again. She was scared, she didn’t want to leave her space to face those zombies. She sat on the grass with her knees in her arms and cried in horror.

After crying for a while, she began to calm down. She knew the apocalypse would come no matter what and she prepared for it. But when she faced the real apocalypse, she felt it was worse than her dream.

This is her reality now. She gritted her teeth and propped herself up before walking into her house.

She looked at the unconscious young man on the sofa. After checking that his temperature had dropped, she went to the second floor to get a backpack and a steel bat. No matter what, she needs to go out and live. She can’t stay in her space forever.

“I’ll be back later to take you out.” After saying this to the unconscious young man, she went out of her space.

As soon as she appeared outside, she heard a roar of zombies coming from behind.

“Roar!”

Gripping on the steel bat tightly, she gritted her teeth and swung the steel bat hard. With a stroke-like action, she uses as much power as she can in her swing.

Duak! Splash!

The steel bat hit the zombie’s head, leaving a dent on the zombie’s head, and there was a sound of flesh getting smashed. The zombie tried to grab her head with its rotting hands.

Seeing the claws of the zombies coming, Liu Qinghe dodge to the side reflexively. The claws were only a few centimeters from her head.

Cold sweat rolled down her forehead, but she didn’t have time to think about it. She raised the steel bat and swung it down at the zombie’s head. 

Duak! Splash!

Whenever she hits the head of the zombie, its movement slows down. She lost her mind for a while and kept swinging the steel bat towards the zombie’s head.

Duak! Duak! Duak! Splash Splash!

It wasn’t until the zombie’s head turned into rotten paste and its brains splashed around that she gasped and stopped. Looking at the twitching body of the zombie in front of her, Liu Qinghe felt the urge to vomit again. Resisting the urge to vomit, she kicked the zombie a few times.

‘Is this the zombie nucleus?’ 

Liu Qinghe held the nucleus with her fingers and felt the warm electric current from it. It seems that this is really a zombie nucleus. Holding onto the zombie nucleus with a thoughtful look, she made a decision. If she wants to survive the apocalypse, she needs to get stronger. And to do this, she needs a lot of zombie nucleus.

Thinking about this, she just noticed she still doesn’t know what ability she had. She was sure that she had an ability beside her space, but so far, she hasn’t felt any difference in her body. Confused, she put the matter behind her for the time being. She will eventually find out later.

Looking at her surroundings, there are more and more zombies in this area. If this continues, it will lead to a zombie horde. 

‘I should get out of this place now before it happens.’

She looked at the gas station and found that there were not many people, but the zombies became more crowded. She took the car out of her space and climbed into it. Taking a deep breath, she stepped on the accelerator, and the car rushed forward quickly.

Ckiitt.. Crash!! Bam!! Duak!! Splash!

The car hit the zombies that were gathered around in front of her. Some zombies were knocked flying, and some were crushed under the car. Her body jolts whenever she runs over a zombie. She kept stepping on the accelerator, not daring to let the car go any slower.

“Roarrrr!! Roarrr!!”

The roar of zombies came from behind the car. Looking in the rearview mirror, she could see some zombies following her car. But as her car accelerates and the zombies’ movement is slow, she quickly leaves those zombies behind.

After leaving the gas station and driving on the road, Liu Qinghe finally breathed a sigh of relief. Her hands and body were soaked in cold sweat, and her body was shaking. Although she wanted to become stronger and collect more zombie nucleus, with her current situation, it was impossible.

She has no fighting power at all. To kill one zombie, it took her a while to kill it. So, it’s better to find scattered zombies. Kill it one by one. When she was planning, something appeared in front of her car suddenly.

Her eyes widened when she saw it. She hit the brakes while the wheels emit thick smoke and a stretched sound.
