  There were three chances to get a lucky draw tonight. Every ticket had a number on them and everyone on the site could tear out this number and put it in the lucky draw box. The reward was pretty interesting; every student called onto stage will pick out another person’s number and fulfil a request.

    Jiang Yi watched the previous two draws, feeling that this might have become an event to get rid of receipts. The first two girls requested for their receipts to get paid off, going off the stage with their newly made boyfriends quickly. They were stuck together for a month and after that would be up to them. 

    The lucky draws on orientation night was one of the must-have events of A University. No one knows how but every year, there’ll be at least two couples out of the three chosen that won’t break up before graduation. Thus the legends flying around about orientation night got more and more exaggerated and many of the students participating tonight came with the intention of escaping singlehood. 

    Jiang Yi also finally remembered that A University’s orientation night had been taken over by the girls from the Languages Department— something romantic like Cinderella’s fairy wand. In short, it was a gigantic blind date. Except at that time, he had heard of the rumours of orientation night but never had the chance to participate. 

    Yet here he was, sitting here today. He glanced at Chu Chuan, who was staring fixedly at the stage, next to him and finally understood how Chang Xi was going to help him. As Jiang Yi held the ticket with the number that had been called, he felt a twinge of disbelief, not knowing whether to laugh or to cry. 

    Chang Xi held the mic and smiled under the stage light, “Wow, the one chosen is a handsome little brother.” 

    A lot of people figured out that Jiang Yi was the boy that gave Chang Xi flowers in the opening, clapping and howling, shouting for him to take the chance to confess to the school flower, that she would definitely not reject him. There were even some that guessed that Chang Xi had rigged it herself, giving Jiang Yi the opportunity to confess. 

    That was half correct. 

    “Unfortunately the other person must be pulled out from the lucky draw and I’m not in it~” Chang Xi shifted the topic quickly, passing the microphone to Jiang Yi, quietly signalling him with her eyes, “Classmate, you can now wish in front of the hall. I swear on the godmother of Cinderella that your wish will be granted.” 

    The audience laughed, shouting, “Which Cinderella’s godmother is so beautiful? Give us one!” 

    Chang Xi’s implication was obvious. She must not know that Chu Jia Ri, who had the same surname as Chu Chuan, wasn’t his younger brother. Why else would she be so willing to help him?

   Confess? How sweet of a thing, and there was also a whole month of forceful mandatory love. He was confident that he could make Chu Chuan fall in love with him within that month. He understood the other party’s happiness and sorrows, understood his likes and dislikes. The only thing missing was the opportunity to get close. 

    And here it came. 

    But he didn’t want to. Who could guarantee that he would get Chu Chuan’s number in a thousand plus numbers? And even if he did get it, there was still a Chu Jia Ri shaped obstacle. 

    Jiang Yi stared into the eyes full of expectations from Chang Xi, the corner of his lips curving up calmly, “Then— the person I draw will have to wash my clothes for a month.” 

    Laughter sounded from below. They probably thought that his request was overly cute and innocent in contrast to his flirtatious appearance. 

    “……”

    She widened her eyes, her lips trembling as she held her smile together, “…Are you sure?” 

    “Yes.”

    “…Not changing?” 

    Jiang Yi nodded, passing the note he drew from the lucky draw box to Chang Xi. As his back was facing the audience, his mouth moved slightly, whispering, “It’s fine whoever I choose.”

    He whipped his head towards Chang Xi, his hand covering his mouth as he asked, “Didn’t I tell you not to rig it?” 

    Chang Xi showed him the number on the paper innocently, displaying the exact numbers she had just read out. 

    “……”

    He had actually got the one in a thousand draw, maybe it’s about time he bought some lottery tickets. 

    Chu Chuan stopped in front of him expressionlessly, “Wash your clothes for a month? Then do I still need to return the three coins from earlier?” 

    “……”

    “Oh, probably not. After all, you won’t need the washing machine for the whole of next month.” 

    “……”

    Can he wash Chu Chuan’s clothes instead???
