POV(Rinne)

Without warning, Lyanna and Mira had engaged in a rather tense confrontation. As usual, my sister had started to provoke those around her. At first glance, and because of her lingering strange condition, Lyanna seemed like a simple, almost sweet girl, but her personality hadn't fundamentally changed since our childhood. Anyone who knew her well could sum her up as: 'She only does what she wants to do'. Her bad side tended to come out from time to time and during those times I just wanted to tie her up, shove her in a barrel and throw her off a cliff...Damn It, She has no chill at all....

"What's going on here?"

Orion's voice reached my ears as he slowly approached. His sweaty body was exposed to the sun as he held his weapon in his right hand. I watched his fight among the others. Although he was not progressing as much as he wanted, he was still a good warrior. But if I told him that he probably wouldn't like it.

"Lyanna..." I replied, feeling my headache slowly creeping up on me...
"Ah...I understand. " he reacted with a bitter smile at the corner of his lips "You think we should stop them?
"Hum, let them blow off some steam..."

The symphony of clashing weapons quickly filled the place, which was gradually emptying of the bloodhounds present. Some of them had stayed out of curiosity and I could not blame them. The duel between the two girls took on the proportions of a fight to the death rather than a simple training session. Lyanna was a pain in the ass without a doubt but Mira was a very "competitive" person, not to say a battle freak. So far I knew nothing about her background except that she had traveled a lot and at a young age. But I could guess that her experiences played a big role in her personality. Anyway, as it was, her competitiveness didn't help the situation. The meeting of the two could only be explosive even if they liked each other a lot.

After a beautiful demonstration of sword fight, Lyanna and Mira had finished their warm-up. The serious stuff could begin. The sand rose up around them as their spiritual energies were released. A powerful breeze ran through the area as their bodies were bathed in their respective powers. A few murmurs and cheers were heard here and there. A fight between two fourth-classes was a rare sight to be enjoyed.

Wrapped in a white aura, Mira was the first to attack. Holding her sword delicately in her hands, she ran at Lyanna at great speed, leaving a trail of dust behind her. Raising her sword above her head and ready to cut her down, she suddenly disappeared and appeared behind my sister.

"Myndo: Mirror Effect"

"Mirror Effect" was her instantaneous movement technique that allowed her to move quickly within a ten meter radius.
In response, Lyanna deftly swung her scythe behind her and blocked Mira's attack without even turning her head. The clash of their spiritual energies cracked the ground and a shrill sound reached our ears. Anticipating the block, Mira pivoted in midair and threw a kick that Lya dodged by crouching. She responded with a roundhouse kick that Mira blocked with her left arm. At that moment, only the best bloodhounds present could follow the fight with their eyes. On a radius of two meters, the two women exchanged blows at high speed, linking magnificent dodges with skillful counterattacks. Neither could really hit her opponent. Her large scythe should be a disadvantage in a small area, but Lya used her weapon as an extension of her arm. She pivoted and moved on her toes like a dancer in a grand theater. There was a cheeky elegance to her movements while Mira's as always had a striking yet strangely wild delicacy. It was obvious that the two shared the same fighting style mixing teachings from different kingdoms. Quite logical since one taught the other.
The fight gradually increased in intensity and several white surfaces appeared around Mira. Sensing the imminent danger, Lyanna jumped back, narrowly dodging an invisible energy blade that split the earth wide open.

"This technique is still so familiar..." I thought as I watched their battle carefully. My blood was boiling as I began to feel the urge to join them.

As soon as her foot hit the ground, Lyanna started to dodge. Left, right, jumping and pivoting in the air. Mira at a distance was throwing sword strikes. This was her "Sharp Reflections" technique. The white surfaces she created could materialize her sword strikes like a mirror, allowing her to attack from a distance. The sword strikes were impossible to see but the fluctuation of spiritual energy could be felt. This allowed Lyanna to dodge them. A weaker bloodhound would already have his head rolling on the ground. The craters multiplied around the two fighters when suddenly Mira disappeared again.

She appeared on the right of Lyanna who had just dodged another invisible blade. With an incredibly fast movement, Mira sliced Lyanna along her left arm. Her blood gushed out, sliding down her injured arm to the desert sand. Just as Mira was about to strike again, Lyanna disappeared into a portal that opened beneath her feet. She reappeared a few steps away. Her cut was already closing.

"I'll have to cut you up some more, Lya." said Mira, whose energy was growing.

"Fuck...she lost her mind." complained Orion grabbing his hips, looking exhausted.
