Back in the occupied system of Orashun, the Neo-Hegemony and Roxo’s fleet, accompanied by ships from the Alliance, almost blotted out the Sky, looking up from the planet. More than a thousand ships were anchored down for weeks by now. At this moment, on the ship of Junita, she, Jankho, Mirian, Keshnar, Omega, and Roxo were having a meeting. The leader of one of the Claws finally came to terms with what he had read before held merit, and he couldn’t ignore it anymore. It was time to act. What would happen after that was up to debate, but if they didn’t work together, there wouldn’t be time to execute any plans of conquering the others.
“I can persuade the others,” Roxo said. “Except one. But I already know how to draw him out.”
“Why would he listen to you?” Junita asked, knowing that one of the Claws was like a mortal enemy to Roxo.
“Because if the plan is real, and he learns that the route to Earth is found, he would want it.” He answered, looking at Omega.
“I know the route.” He nodded, saying it almost daily whenever Roxo questioned him. “The Astropaths are dormant, but I can open a new one and reawaken the old ones. But that would tell the Creator where we are, and it will come to deal with us.”
“Can we withstand it?” Junita asked, especially after knowing the details.
“I can protect you. The problem comes after.” Omega said, sighing, crossing his arms. “After that thing fails to remove you all from existence, it is going to let out swarms of drones. Think of them as AI machines. Ships in all sizes, shapes, and forms. I can’t protect you against those while I battle its consciousness and try to take it down… so you will have to fight them.”
“Going by the size of the ship,” Jankho said, “It will be a lot of enemies coming from it!”
“Yes.” Omega nodded, not denying it, “That is why I want as many ships there as possible. It will help me if that thing has to fight you and me at the same time.”
“Okay, what if we defeat it?” Roxo asked, already thinking about the aftermath and the fact they would be at the place where the ancient Hegemony came from. Just the prospect of finding those old technologies were making him salivate.
“It depends on you all.” Omega looked around, watching every one of them. “I can’t and won’t influence where the Galaxy will go after it… but…”
“But?” Roxo pressed, looking into his eyes.
“My blessing is with Mirian. That is it.” He finished, saying no more on the topic.
It was not an impossibility that the Wuulfharns would try something after the battle. If they survive. If Omeg had to guess, he would bet money on it that they would. If not Roxo, then the others. But that was something that was already calculated into their plans. He had trust in Mirian, Jankho, and the whole of the Neo-Hegemony. Especially if the Alliance choose to stand on their side. Omega couldn’t see the future, but he had an optimistic outlook on it, hoping that it would play out in a more peaceful way in the end. Right now, he could only focus on one thing, and that was to eliminate the Creator. Once and for all.
“How much time do you need?” Mirian asked, watching Roxo’s face.
“A year.”

“Can’t do,” Omega answered. “When I killed Finis, I retained some of his strands. The Creator does not know his demise for now. But I can’t keep them around for that long. You have half a year. Get ready by then.”
“Are you trying to intimidate me?” Roxo asked, unhappy by his voice and not backing down by nature.
“Yes,” Omega replied. “I will make it so that Finis’s strands expire in your home system. So when that Creator shows up, it does it on your doorstep!” He raised his voice a little while speaking, “That way, we can use you and your people as meatshields.”
“I like the idea.” Mirian chuckled, drawing a snort from Roxo.
“I concur,” Junita added.
“Hmph. Half a year.” Roxo snorted, not saying more.
“Good.” Omega nodded, closing down the exchange there. “Just collect your ships on your home systems.” He looked around, “I’ll open an Astropath from there to Earth when the time has come.”
The fact that a new Astropath would open up was already something that was hard to believe. Yet by now, none of them were in mind to question whether he could do it or not. Omega was not holding back anything at all. Just after the battle, he waved his hand, disabling all the still functioning drones, disintegrating them, and with the movement of his fingers, he repaired all the damaged ships, saving many lives. Roxo may have been keeping up an unbothered, stern look, even speaking back to him, but inside, he was willing to agree to his plans and follow suit. His mind has already conceded to the fact he met someone above his level. He was still a leader of his own faction, his own people, but his animalistic mind was engraved deeply with the notion of following the lead of the strongest.
“That time will also give me enough room to rally my own people and, by proxy, many others. We can hire the nearby, independent systems too, amassing a mercenary fleet.” Junita added, “All in all, my calculations say that by the end, we are going to have over 1000 ships if we all come together. Maybe even near 2000.”
“That should be enough.” Omega nodded. “I’ll try to deal with that Creator quickly… but I can’t make promises. You have to hold out.”
“Hmf.” Roxo scoffed. “My people are warriors. Just make sure the rest won’t drag us down.”
“Relax!” Mirian smiled at him, “Our people are used to hardships! You would be surprised how tenacious we can get!”
“And mine will do anything for profit.” Junita shrugged, “Tell them they can visit the old Earth? They would die for that opportunity. Literally.”
“They will have the chance for that….” Omega added, already debating if he should let Sylen and Miyon accompany him to Earth…
