Chapter 64: The Night Full Of Surprises

A high tension atmosphere was brewing in front of the mansion. Alex came to meet Ace and his two other partners. The warriors surrounded the wizards with their fierce faces. Their eyes gleamed in the dark night like wild beasts about to pounce on their prey. But all the wizards remained calm and unaffected by their savage aura.

"Tch... If only I knew you suppressed almost all of my strength. I'm absolute wouldn't obey." Alex was annoyed; he touched his arm. The tattoo on his left arm was a gift from this white wizard.

Alex's parents used to ask Ace to seal Alex's great power. The seal could only be released when Alex finds his mate so that she can share her soul and strength with Alex. At least that's what Alex knew all this time.

Eden heard behind Alex's body. Eden's tiny body made her easy to hide behind Alex's stocky body. Eden strained her ears. She felt this wizard's voice was so familiar to her ears.

[Similar to Ace's voice.] Eden thought to peek from behind Alex's athletic back, but Alex's height made Eden difficult to peek, even after she tiptoed.

"That was Miguel Gray's fault, not me! He was the one who asked me to seal your power," replied Ace. Miguel, who came to Red Tower, begged Ace to help Alex. And Alex's parents, who had no choice, followed Miguel's words to seal Alex's power. Indeed, at that time, Alex's strength prevented anyone from touching him, including his own parents. This made them both sad.

"Don't say that name!!" Alex snapped.

"Eh???" Eden's eyes widened; Miguel Gray was her dad. Why did the wizard mention her dad's name?

"You mean Miguel Grey?" Ace repeated it.

"Shut up!! Don't repeat that man's name!! I don't want to hear it." Alex snapped at Ace for saying the name he hated the most. The name of the person who killed his parents. Eden was getting confused. Why did Alex hate her daddy so much?

[So dad has a relationship with wizards and werewolves?] Eden thought. Eden's heart was pounding violently when she heard Ace and Alex's words. Eden hoped to find out the truth about her dad's death.

"Why do you hate him so much, Little Wolf? He saved you. If the Supreme Mage had not suppressed your power, you might not have been able to live among them and be exiled in the forest. They would call you Tarzan." Jack sneered at Alex's attitude. He didn't return Miguel's favor.

"Shut up!!" Kairos snapped at the green wizard, who underestimated his alpha.

"JACK!" Ace snapped at Jack.

"All right, Lord!" Jack was scared and kept his mouth shut. Ace looked back at Alex with a flat gaze, but both seemed to be analyzing each other's weaknesses and how to beat their rival.

"What do you want to talk about? Say it quickly and get out of here." Alex clenched his fists in restraint. Eden could feel Alex's immense anger through the vibrations of his body.

"Miguel Grey. Tell me, where is he?" Ace asked Alex to the point. Miguel Gray was a warrior from the Tourmaline pack, and he was also the one who stole Edith's necklace seventeen years ago. At least Alex would know something about Miguel and the bloodstone.

"No, I don't know. I'm also looking for that man myself. I'd kill him if we met." Alex clenched his fists. His face stiffened as all of his hated flowed out.

"Eh???" Eden's eyes widened when she heard Alex's words. Alex would kill his father when they met. Why was Alex hated his father so much that he wanted to take his life?

"What the hell did he do to you, huh?" Ace took a deep breath. Eden turned her ear again.

"He's the one who killed my parents," Alex's answer made Eden's tiny body flinch. Eden wider her eyes in disbelief. Her dad was the kindest and gentlest man in the world. How could he kill Alex's parents?

Eden paled, her tongue was dry, and her body trembled when she heard Alex's words. Eden had just planted her seed of love for this black wolf, but a moment later, it turned back into doubt. Eden took a few steps back, but Alex's hand held hers. Eden couldn't escape.

"I'm sorry to hear about it, Wolf." Ace took a deep breath. His searching into this place was vain. It turned out that Miguel Gray had left the Tourmaline pack.

"Anything else? You said you were going to tell me about Eden?! Do you seem to know what's sealed in that cave?! And what magic was in it?! What did that dark magic do with my girl?!" Alex gripped Eden's hand tightly. Eden stopped shaking. She listened to the conversation again because Alex started mentioning about her. Eden was more and more curious about the riddles of her life. How many more surprises would she hear tonight?

Ace tried to keep his facial expression calm, even though he missed Eden and wanted to know how she was. Ace was so worried about Eden as much as he was concerned about Edith, who never came back from the castle.

"Eden is she okay?? How is her condition?" asked Ace.

Eden was getting more and more suspicious. Why did this wizard seem to know her so well, and… why did he know Eden was injured? Eden couldn't hold back her curiosity anymore. She peeked behind Alex's stocky arm. She was trying to see the great magician. What did he look like?

Eden could see a man in a green robe, a woman with fiery red hair, and a red robe. Finally, Eden saw the tip of the silver robe men's hooded hat. Eden traced the man down to his golden-brown hair and ended up in his clear blue eyes. The figure was none other than…

"Ace??!!" Eden screamed loud enough to break the tension.

All eyes immediately turned to Eden. Alex, Ace, Kai, the wizards, and the wolves. All stared at Eden with lifted eyebrows. 

"Oops!" Eden covered her mouth with her palm. It looked like she had made a mistake. But Eden wasn't wrong. The wizard who wore a white robe shining like silver was Ace. The leader of the basketball team at her school, also the man who had been her idol. If only she didn't meet Alex, maybe Eden would have become his girlfriend.

"Hello, E." Ace smiled sweetly at Eden. Glad to see the girl was doing well and excited as usual.

"So, you're truly Ace?" Eden swallowed her saliva upon learning of the shocking reality that her school idol was the strongest and supreme mage on the continent.

"Yes, E. It's me. Come here." Ace walked up to Eden to show the girl that he was not dangerous. Ace was still the same Ace at school. But Alex immediately hid Eden behind his body. This man was indeed an overprotective alpha.

"What do you want?!" asked Alex fiercely.

"Get out of the way, Wolf! I want to see how she's doing." Ace's eyes turned sharp because Alex was blocking his way.

"I told you I would never let you touch my woman!!" Alex growled furiously, his jaw clenched, his canines sharpened.

Eden panicked, why suddenly the atmosphere became extremely tense. What would happen if Alex and Ace fight here??

"Don't be crazy!! You are a werewolf, and Eden is a human!!" Ace also assumed there's no way Eden would be the mate of this crazy alpha. She could be suffocated to death, sucked into Alex's tremendous soul.

"Eden is my mate!!" Alex claimed Eden in front of all his pack members. All members of the pack were noisy. Was it true that this human is the mate of their King? They thought Eden was just Alex's toy before meeting his mate. The mate of their alpha and the king of werewolves was an omega, seriously?

"Don't mess with me, Wolf! No human can stand enough to be mated with a strong alpha like you! You'll kill her!!" Ace formed a seal with the hand. A bright light wrapped the hand. If Alex wanted to suck Eden's soul, Ace couldn't let him. He would take away Eden this time without a doubt.

"You think I'm scared?" Alex pulled out his sharp nails.

"You guys don't fight!!" Eden came out from behind Alex's back in a hurry. It was a dark night. Eden could not see her step road clearly. Eden accidentally tripped over a rock and fell forward.

Alex and Ace saw and screamed together. "Eden!!"

Alex caught Eden's waist, and Ace tried to hold Eden's arm. Ace could evident see Eden's beautiful face. And the light around Ace's hand reflected the sparkle on Eden's necklace pendant. Ace's eyes widened when he saw the red necklace hanging around Eden's neck. The same necklace as his late lover's.

"Edith's bloodstone!!" Ace whispered, dumbfounded.
