Chapter 65: Alexander VS Ace

Alex caught Eden's waist, and Ace tried to hold Eden's arm. Ace could evident see Eden's beautiful face. And the light around Ace's hand reflected the sparkle on Eden's necklace pendant. Ace's eyes widened when he saw the red necklace hanging around Eden's neck. The same necklace as his late lover's.

"Edith's bloodstone!!" Ace whispered, dumbfounded.

So, Edith's necklace was in Eden's hands. Why couldn't he see it all this time? Even though Ace was always with Eden at school?! Ace cursed himself for being so stupid. But Eden always kept hiding the necklace behind her uniform or clothes, not wanting anyone else to see what her dad left for her.

"Where did you get it, E?" Ace touched the bloodstone necklace. Eden's face immediately turned pale. There was no way she could tell everyone there that the chain was his late father's legacy, Miguel Grey. Alex would immediately hate her, and Ace would directly ask where his father was.

Eden faced a difficult situation. Neither Ace nor Alex did not know yet that Eden was Miguel Grey's daughter. There was no data including Miguel's name on Eden's family card. Miguel never registered his marriage to Vica. In the legal document, Eden was the daughter of Vica.

"Damn it! You didn't give me a choice, Wolf!" Ace let out a bright light in both of his palms. Ace drew a sword of light from his palm. A great sword appeared.

"Take Eden away from here, Kai!" Alex changes to werewolf combat mode. He tore off his top shirt. Black hairs grew all over his body. His jaw hardened, his bones grew stronger, his fangs elongated. Alex's nails were bold black like steel. Alex's eyes flashed red, a sign of his overflowing strength.

"Come on, Luna!!" Kairos pulled Eden's hand.

"No!! Let go, Kai!" Eden didn't want to go. She struggled from Kairos' embrace. Eden had to break up the fight because Eden didn't want them to be hurt. Eden was the reason for all trouble tonight.

All the warriors did the same, changing into battle mode. The Wizards didn't want to lose. Queen formed a magic seal with her hand. The night sky seemed to open. A huge black hole with a flash of lightning gaped, a giant lion with wings and eagle's claws came out from inside the black hole.

Everyone's eyes widened at the magical creature they could only hear from in fairy tales. Eden also fell when she saw a griffin appear in front of Ethereal Mansion. Griffins were mythical creatures, but aren't myths also based on history? People couldn't describe the form of the beast if they had never seen them.

"ROAR!" The winged lion roared, it made all the warriors in Pack gulp heavily, but all the werewolves didn't back down. They would rather die than be a coward. They were still holding out until there was an order from the alpha to attack.

"Dare to step in to interfere with this match. The griffin will chop your heads off!" Queen stroked Griffin's head. They didn't realize that the Red wizard's skills were just an illusion. All of their creations were not real. She was good at exploiting the fear in the human heart.

Jack watched Ace and Alex standing tall in the middle of a green field. Jack had not seen Ace take out his sword of light in a long time. Ace killed Edith with this sword too.

Love, hope, and long waiting turned Ace so strong that he could turn LUMINOS into a weapon. Ace condensed his LUMINOS into a sword.

But Jack was also fascinated by Alex. Even though in front of him, Ace took out a weapon, and Queen created a Griffin. Alex wasn't afraid at all, and he wasn't backward, even a single step. This man still stood tall as if he could finish the match and come out victorious.

"Why are you so eager to snatch Eden from me?" asked Alex. Eden must have a special meaning for Ace.

"How many times do I have to tell you?! I will protect humanity from the devil. And I won't let you kill Eden." Ace pointed at Alex with the tip of his sword.

"How could I kill her?? Have you been insane?? She's my mate!!" Alex laughed at Ace's silliness.

"Eden is a human. And if you are determined to mark her as your mate, don't you already know the risk?! The seal of your power will be opened. Instead of sharing your soul, Eden will die because of exhaustion holding your mighty soul or even her soul being sucked in by your soul!" Ace explained the reason why Eden could die if Alex marked her.

Alex looked at Eden, who was still struggling in Kairos' grip. Was Eden going to die if she got his mark?? Eden's eyes filled with tears as she looked at Alex. She begged to be released. Eden asked Alex not to fight with Ace with her eyes.

"Give up, Wolf!! Give Eden to me, and we don't have to fight!" Ace plunged his sword into the ground.

Alex felt very confused, but his love for Eden made Alex selfish. He didn't want to lose Eden from his side, imagining it made Alex's heart jump haphazardly.

"I will never let Eden go. And if marking her will kill her, I will never mark her as my Luna." Alex didn't want to give Eden to Ace. His love was too deep to be willing to sacrifice so much.

All the warriors who were there were shocked by Alex's answer. Alex would not mark Eden, but did not want to let Eden goes either. Had the Alpha gone mad? That means they won't have Luna. And How could Alexander Lupo have children? If he didn't have. Then to whom would the legacy of the Lupo family be inherited?

"Alex!!" Called Eden. Her heart hurt to heard Alex said that. It's mean Alex very very loves her.

Eden felt guilty. Alex loves her so much, but it turned out that Eden was the child of the man who killed his parents. Eden's eyes dropped tears. The moon goddess or whoever made Alex's fateful love bond with her was cruel!

"Final offers?"

"Still No!"

"Then die!!" Ace drew his sword and stepped forward to face Alex. Ace's left hand came another bright light and formed a transparent light shield.

Alex jumped fast forward to tear Ace apart. Ace protected himself from Alex's slashes with his shield. The shield broke and disappeared due to Alexander's immense power, but the shield managed to save Ace.

Ace counterattacked, he swung his sword, slashing Alex's body. Alexander jumped back and dodged quickly. Ace's slash caused an energy surge effect. The wind that came from Ace's swinging sword scratched Alex's chest. Fresh blood appeared, but the wound immediately closed.

Ace made another transparent shield, the light was blinding, making all the audience squint to see the fierce battle. Everyone swallowed hard watching the game.

Tension was brewing, the warriors were getting impatient to help their Alpha, but the Griffin kept roaring and leaping in front of anyone who wanted to interfere. Through the scary creature, Queen hypnotized them and instilled fear.

"Give up, Alex!" Ace swung his sword again, this time with a agile move that cornered Alex.

"Never!!" Alex jumped up and made Ace's sword a foothold. He focused his strength on his legs and pushed Ace.

Ace bounced and was pushed back. Ace plunged his sword into the ground as a brake and slowed down. Alex did not waste this opportunity. He immediately rushed to tear Ace's head.

Ace didn't want to lose. He hadn't given up. Ace cast time magic. A few meters radius around him stopped rotating. Time slowed down. Everyone froze in Ace's spell. Including Alex. Ace drew his sword and aimed the blade right at Alex's heart. Ace would kill Alex in one stab.

"No! ALEEXXX!!!" Eden exclaimed, the girl was not frozen in the flow of time Ace created.

Jack the green wizard looked confused. Eden broke free and escaped Kairos' grip because Kairos' body was frozen in the flow of time. As a time wizard, Jack knew that only the strong wizard could fight back the magic of time. So?? was Eden a strong wizard? She didn't affect by Ace's magic. How could a little girl stop the supreme mage's spell?!

Eden ran into the middle of the fight to protect Alex from Ace's sword. Jack was trying to pull Eden's body for not to interfere with the fight and gets hurt.

But it was too late. Eden was in their midst, stretching out her arms as Ace turned back time to normal.

STAB!!

Alex's sharp nails pierced Eden's right chest…. and …. Ace's sword pierced Eden's stomach.

Alex and Ace's eyes widened like tonight's full moon when they saw Eden in their midst.

"NOOOOO!!!" Alex shouted.

"NOOOOO!!" Ace shouted no less loudly.

Fresh blood dripped from Eden's mouth. Eden's tiny body was pierced by Alex's sharp nails and Ace's light sword.

"EDEN!!!!" The two shouted at the same time.
