Chapter 22: Answer to Rachael’s confession-II

We were working and many atimes, I observed Roxanne through a glance. She was occasionally glancing at me, her mouth opening and closing repeatedly. For the first few times, I ignored it. But later on, it was becoming irritating, so I asked her, 

"What's the matter Roxanne?"

"H-huh?" [ROXANNE]

"I asked what's the matter?" [ME]

"Nothing..? Why do you ask?" [ROXANNE]

"Oh come on! Don't lie to me. I saw what you were doing back then. So, out with it" [ME]

"........." [ROXANNE]

"..??" [ME]

"Can you tell who she is?" She asked.

"My girlfriend?" [ME]

She nodded.

I stopped working and looked at her.

"I can't." [ME]

The anticipation on her face was quickly replaced with a dejected look.

"It's just that I haven't taken her permission yet and somehow I feel like it'll not make her happy. So, I'll tell you once she gives me permission to, okay?" [ME]

"Hmm" she quickly glanced down. The silence between us was restored once again.

After work, I was on my way to the home. Lately, it feels just right to call it 'THE HOME' instead of 'A HOME' or 'HOUSE'.

Involvement of just a single person can change your life. Just a while back, it was just like a space that I used at night. There wasn't any sort of attachment towards that place. 

But lately, because of Anna, I don't know why, but the thought of going home comes very often. Coming home to see the wonderful smile of Anna, it's like, I cannot comprehend it into words, it's just something else. 

......

After arriving home, i felt that it was not like usual place where I come daily. There was wierd silence in the atmosphere. After opening the lock, I entered inside.

The lights were OFF, as if, I was the only one that lived there. 

Just as I entered inside, I saw Anna sitting in the corner. Her dress, hairs all were a mess.

I approached her and quietly sat beside her.

"Ally~" [ANNA]

"Hmm." [ME]

"Is that you?" [ANNA]

" Why didn't you go to Rachael?" [ANNA]

"Do you expect me to go leaving you like this?" [ME]

"But why~" 

I quickly grabbed her and pulled her in my embrace. She started sobbing quietly. She grabbed my body with her arms and held me tightly. I didn't rejected her advance and patted her head.

After sometime, when she sobered up, she said, 

"You should go and see Rachael" [ANNA]

"I think so too" I said, but I didn't miss the gasped voice that escaped her lips.

"Come back safely, okay~" she was trying to smile forcefully, but she was suddenly shocked.

ANNA POV-

I was lying. I don't want him to go. He's mine. 

But Rachael was also his 'someone important'. 

Through my source, I knew everything that happened between both of them. As much as I hate to admit it, that Rachael girl too deserved Ally's love.

It wrecked my heart to hear both of them having s*x. Rachael and I were on call, and I listened to everything that happened. 

I thought that it would be fine to share him..........but I can't. I CAN'T!!!!! IT HURTS SO MUCH!!!!! SEEING THEM BOTH TOGETHER, IMAGINING THEM HOLDING EACH OTHER PASSIONATELY IS JUST HEART WREAKING!!. IT HURTS!! It really hurts. I can't take it anymore. I just want to cry.

I don't know when I returned home. I just got my senses when I felt Ally around me. His touch soothed me. Having him around relaxed me. I told him to go to Rachael.  

I was just going to force a smile, but then I got shocked.

There was that look on his face.

That indifferent,cold look that he used to have in the past.

And without knowing, I started sobbing loudly again.
