My body felt lethargic like lead bags of sand. My eyes open to sight of an unfamiliar room, I'm laying on a cushion mat bed on the ground covered with a single blanket. The room was a wooden prison cell entirely made of smooth woods floors, walls and slack bars with narrow openings. A small window being the only source of light, it's day time.
Trying to get up only to topple over, my hands and feet are in wooden stock cuffs,my arms behind me. I'm completely naked, even the coins at the ends of my hair were taken and my braids undone leaving my hair in an unkempt state.
"Hi." A young child voice caught my attention.
Gazing upwards from the floor I saw a girl around my age wearing a green skirt kimono with a short bob cut and ponytail, holding a wooden bowl in her hands.
My sense of smell kicked in and my stomach growled.
She crouch down to place the bowl on the floor through the wooden slacks.
It smelled really good as I rolled and wormed to the smell to find a bowl of steaming rice porridge with ginger and dice green onions.
Slowly placing my lips to the bowl I began to drink in a fervor, slowing gulping down the delicious morsel in front of me.
"You have very nice hair." I was unaware of the girl in front of me, who reach through the bars and cleared my unkempt hair from entering the porridge bowl. I continued slurping down the remain liquids to the last drop, before realizing I was being petted as I felt the touch of a small a hand gently combing through my unkempt hair. I looked up gazing directly into the face of the girl, who had a bright smile of satisfaction on her face as she continued stroking my head softly.
"Your eyes are really pretty". The young girl began reach through the wooden slacks with her other hand reaching for my face.
My anxiety spiked, as I realize her hand was reaching for one of my head scars. My scars have become a sore point for me, as my fight or flight response was kicking in I was about to bite her hand when she was reaching through the wood slacks.
"SUKI!" A older women wearing a green armor combat kimono came into the room dragging Suki by the collar away from from the wooden slacks.
Suki and I both flinch as I back away from the wooden slacks back into the corner of the prison cells.
"But mom, I wanted to see the boy". Suki protested with a childish pout as she was being dragged out of the room.
After Suki left the room, the older woman remain behind. She approach the wooden slack, it was difficult to determine her age, her face was painted white, with red and black paint emphasizing her eye area.
'Is she one of the all female warriors from the show?'
"I hope my daughter didn't frighten you. I'm her mother Sukira." Sukira approach the wooden cell bending down to my eye level.
The woman who seems to be her mid 20s looks at me with a smiling expression. She looks like an older version of Suki the girl from before.
"I brought you some clothes, and if you like I can remove those for you". Sukira slid a set of clothe through the wooden slacks, before making gestures for me to place my hands and feet stocks in front of the wooden openings.
I just stare at Sukira with skepticism, trying to figure out my current situation.

"Ah, you don't have to be afraid of me. I wont harm you and no one on this island will either." Sukira said with sincerity
My body felt like lead bags of sand, but I manage to position myself against the wooden slacks deciding to listen to Sukira.
First the stocks around my feet were remove, and then the stocks of my hands were opened, freeing my hands.
Suddenly my breathing became erratic, I could feel the fingers of Surika tracing the old wounds on my back, especially tracing the latest burn scar.

Noticing my discomfort Sukira removes her hands from my back.
"Ah, sorry. Rest now, I'll check on you later." Surika started to leave the room.
"th-thnk you". I said with sincerity.
There was a slight change in Sukira's expression, just for moment she became upset and sad, before reinforcing her bright smile.
'did I say something wrong?'
After Sukira left I did my best to wear the Kimono having never worn one before.
I had one thought.
'has clothing always been this uncomfortable?'
I went under the blanket sleeping comfortably for the first time in a while.
