A red fog engulfed the floors of the underground prison cell, as a metal latch door was open to reveal a guard in a black featureless mask. The mask guard entered the prison cell and was surprise to find a red mist fog that went up to his knees with no one inside the cell. The mask guard became startled as he pulled out 2 short daggers before he enter the prison cell. The mask guard started to sweep the room methodically searching for clues on what happen in here. The sound of metal chains being dragged along the stone floor startled the mask guard, making him throw a dagger toward the sound.
Only the sounds of a dagger striking the hard stone floor of the prison cell could be heard.
It was the sound of the same thrown dagger being picked up by something in chains, which made the mask guard to become nervous. The sound of metal chains dragging on stone was coming straight at the mask guard, he then threw his remaining dagger towards the sound. The sound of chains being drag on stone stopped and the mask guard began to pull out two more daggers. It was then the mask guard felt a stinging sensation in his leg, only to realize one of his back legs was cut.
"Argh." sound of pain came from the mask guard.
As another stinging pain sensation cause the mask guard to drop to one knee, in reaction he threw the dagger in a seemingly random direction and he heard a "splish" sound of metal sinking into flesh. The mask guard celebrated in triumph, as he stumbled over to where he heard the sound from before, only to become horrified to find another mask guard laying dead with a dagger sticking from his back.
Emerging from the knee high red mist fog was a feral dark tan skin child 9 years of age who had different scars adoring his nearly naked body, stood behind the mask guard. The child was slightly smaller then an average child his age, due to mostly living of life of hunting and having to scavenge for food. The child wore a shabby loin cloth rag around his thin waist, on his head he wore a partially broken primitive bone mask with a tattered red rag dangling over his mouth still damp with fresh blood. The child had dirty long unkempt white hair that was bigger then himself, falling down past his waist and made him look more spirit than human. The child's green eyes started to glow as he reach for the mask guards throat. In the child's hand was a dagger the mask guard had thrown before, which he used to slit the guard's throat and blood started rushing out in a mass torrent. The child started to breathe in deeper as his eyes started to glow with more intensity. As the prison cell started to fill with more red mist fog, all that remain seen of the child were his green eyes that glowed in the red mist.
The red mist fog started to leave the prison cell, the sounds of metal chains being dragged upon stone and sometimes from the sidewalls could be heard through the corridors. As the red mist fog started to move faster through the corridors of this underground prison, the occasional sounds of mask guards could be heard shrieking in pain before the fog started to grow in size with every shriek, until there was only one mask man left.
The mask man stood at the center of the large stone area, he knew this day was coming. Yon Rha knew this day was coming and it could only end in one of two ways, he was going to kill the spirit that was haunting his nightmares for the past year and finally be free, or the spirit would kill him. Yon Rha started to remove his clothes to reveal a mostly badly burned scar upper torso and puss covered black bandages that fused into his skin. Everyday the wounds Yon Rha receive that on that fateful day where slowly killing him, the only thing that kept him going was getting revenge on the spirit that did this to him.
"Are you satisfied spirit? are you happy with what you have done to me." Yon Rha said, with a hint of madness in his voice.
A red fog mist started to fill into the stone arena from the corridor that came from the prison cells.
Yon Rha through gritted teeth took a martial stance and punch into the air twice, as two blast of fire emerged from his fists jetting into the red mist fog corridor.
The red mist fog continues to fill the stone arena and eventually reach to the knees of Yon Rha.
The sound of metal chains dragging on the ground, entered into the stone arena and started to encircle Yon Rha.
Yon Rha was in great pain, the more he used his fire bending the worst his injuries became. This was his chance to exact his revenge and to avenge all the men he lost that day.
Yon Rha continue to throw fist after fist into the red mist fog, as blast after blast of fire jetted from his fist, as the smell of burnt blood started to fill up the air in the stone arena.
Yon Rha then began to inhale deeply before breathing out a stream of fire blasting from his lips, as he scorch a section of the stone arena, clearing the area of the red fog.
"Urk." The pitiful sounds of a child being slammed into a stone wall could be heard.
Yon Rha drop to one knee panting in agony as he gaze upon the visage of his nightmares, who now laid slump against the stone wall, down and unconscious.
Yon Rha began to struggle, stumble and crawl toward the unconscious child feeling victory close at his hand.
It was when Yon Rha was reaching for him, the child who was in a weak state, reached out his hand.
Yon Rha started to notice his strength starting to leave him, as his expose wounds that were already reopen by his fire bending started bleeding once more.
Yon Rha eventually reach the child, placing his hands over the his neck and attempt to choke him to death once in for all.
It was the cold rigid touch of metal that made Yon Rha despair, as the last of his strength was starting to leave him.
Yon Rha channeled all of his remaining strength into his hands, as the metal collar around the child's neck glowed the brightest red it's ever been, for the last time. As it was the last permanent harm Yon Rha tried to inflict onto the child, before slumping over dead.

No scream of pain could be heard in the red mist fog arena, but of the soft sound of shallow breathing and silent crying. As the only thing that could be seen in the stone arena were the green glowing eyes filled with tears shrouded in a the red mist fog.
It was completely silent in the underground prison, until the sounds of chains started to move once more.
The sound of chains being drag across stone could be heard in the underground prison, as metal doors could be heard unlatching and opening. The prisoner's of this under ground prison started to leave, because their were no guards left to stop them.
'it's night time now, there was indeed a full moon out tonight, I freed all the "prisoners" from this underground prison whether it was the right thing to do or not. I no longer have the ability to speak, how will I communicate with others now? I do not know where I am, but I do see a large walled town filled with life in the distance on top of this hill where the underground prison was located. Is this really the world of avatar the last air bender? Have I just been naive thinking so?'
It was then the old man who look like a pirate captain walked up to me and sat on the log I was sitting at, next to me.
"For you, if you ever need passage to some where, show this to another captain." The old man handed me a gold medallion with a symbol I've never seen before.
'passage huh, I could used this to get back to kyoshi island, but my mind isn't in the right place, to be able go back to Suki and the other's like this, at least not right now.'
I tuck the medallion into my new accessory, the chain metal collar.
The pirate captain sat with me in silence for awhile before leaving with the remainder of his crew which I really appreciated.
'I think, I would like to meet them again one day, under better circumstances.'
I stare for hours at the nearby town, the fragrance aroma of good smelling food hit my nostrils, causing my stomach to growl.
'I think I'll rest today.'
With that, I sneaked into the nearby town, under the cover of the night, and avoided the town guards.
'Avoiding guards is becoming like child's play to me.'
The food I smell came from a street food vendor selling I assume to be a lizard rat looking creature grilled on a stick, I stole them from the vendor by making him fall over by affecting the fluid in his inner ear to tilt.
'Blood bending is a sickening feeling, but its the only bending I have a sense for using right now.'
I gritted my teeth and clench my fist in silence.
'I've lost a lot of things today.'
Those were my last thoughts as I was jumping rooftop to rooftop in search for a safe and empty place to sleep at, for during the day.
Chapter end.
A/N. So this definitely is a change in writing format and narrative tone, where I might have to do an overhaul of the previous chapters, or just leave as is. As the story's goes a new arc is about to begin introducing potential future harem members.
