Alyssa held out her hand, clear and pure ice formed before her eyes, finding natural purchase within her palms. The blade possessed a wide blade with a sharp line, like a triangular baton. only the circular pommel showed its identity as a sword. Breathing deeply, her resolve hardened, the ice-baton became colder, the forge’s flame danced along the baton’s edge, both unharmed by its lucrative dance. ‘It’s too cold,’ Alyssa thought, removing the baton from the fire. She held the blade-like triangle, and it fragmented within her fist. Shards fell and blood dripped, both shartering hitting the floor. The snowfall around Alyssa fluttered wildly, with  the dry air shivering, every drop of water drained from itself. She plucked off the shards, frozen blood replacing its presence.

‘Pathetic. Puny. Awful.’ Alyssa thought,  stretching her hands, the blood started its endless journey again. The blizzard returned to its light snowfall, its breathing returning to normal, as she heard the store’s door slamming open, a thumping jog hastily approached her door. ‘Must be Betty.’

A loud bang hammered on her door as she approached, “What’s wrong Betty?”

Her face tightened as she opened the door, seeing that ‘man’ behind Betty, ‘that's not human.’ years of fighting on the border where both humans and glitches die side by side, wound by wound, yet this was neither.

It stood there.

Smiling. Still. Arbitrary.

‘That is dangerous,’ she thought, giving Betty all of her attention. Her make-up, blended with her  snot and tears, unmasked her freckles, but her red beady eyes revealed themselves.

“What’s wrong Betty?” Alyssa said, thinking, ‘Who’s this ‘thing’? What’d it do?’

Betty jittered trying to explain anything, her arms moved at random. “Aiden!” She exclaimed as she tried getting herself under control. “I don't know! Something happened!” Her blood pumped, her skin nearly breaking. Alyssa placed her hand on Betty's shoulder. Sending chills throughout  her body, her jittering spot, she almost froze as a statue. “Ah! Sorry, master. Um.. thank you.” Alyssa nodded as she eyed that ‘thing’ in the corner, gazing into the weapons, like one stares into a book.

“Betty, your job, for today is, package and seal, these ice swords, send them ‘there.’” Alyssa said, seeing Betty wiping her face on her sleeve. “That's much better,” she didn’t wait for Betty's response as she walked over to the ‘man,’ placing her hand on his shoulder.

He turned his head, uttering one word, “Did-” and no more, as Alyssa froze the ‘man’ solid, inside out sealing him within.

She turned and faced Betty, who became dazed, “Ants will lead,” she explained as she walked out of the store.

Alyssa stomps down to that alley making sure not to step on the ants. They squirm everywhere all the time.

They are everywhere, whispering into each other's ear. ‘Lets lead her towards the stage,’ they murmur, ‘come the final curtain must fall, the mumble. They shift and squirm, following each other's footsteps, led by the one ahead of each other.

Ridiculous. Wretched. Ants.

All of them.

The tiny snowfall, unseen by the eye, started thrashing wildly, like a young child. Some ants started quivering by the mere sight of its tantrum. But still they guide her.

Afterall, she is Queen here.

The ants keep fluctuating, returning to silence, and that's all they should do. The raging child soon calmed down, returning to its mother’s warm embrace.

She soon reached the final stage, screeches echoed from the door, wails and howls broke through the walls. They ran in and out of this abyss, fulfilling their desires.. They are always like this. Taking a deep breath she enters the abyss.

The abyss had a bar, men laughing merrily with their drinks and snacks, ignoring that deep growl from further in, begging others to follow its beckon. Some men clutched their ears slowly dragging their body towards the exit, clearly the shrieks were overbearing for their weak wills. Alyssa climbs the stairs following the abyss’ yelpings. “Kehawekehahecike,” it said, as Alyssa saw the second floor, one hallway down was one stairway up, different doors lining the hallway preached different cravings, praising their soon to be followers.

“But oh, how I must kept face, for our own sake, and murder him! My, what a bloody spectacle, Jack’s corpse flung over the ledge, that filthy, atrocious, disgusting, bastard splattering like the bug he became.” Alyssa kept on walking down the corridor, men soon collapsed from the ungodly callings from above, never experiencing this level before. She walked up the stairs and reached yet another narrow space, with the door further down. But one man in a dark suit stood in front of it.

The voice sighed, “sadly, my beloveds must occupy Alyssa; leaving a guess unattended is a sin to the Beings Above, isn’t that right?” The man protecting the door, neared tears incapable of withstanding such wailings.

Alyssa charged the man, but her bullrush rammed into a wall of ethereal darkness, grappling her in. A man popped out of her shadow, a wispy black knife in hand aiming for her neck. And yet the man in front stood still, expecting failure. Alyssa smirked, ‘a smart ant.’

The small snowfall soon rippled in space, small waves of ice spread outwards. The man behind became one with the ceiling, dangling like a chandelier. The shadow wall soon froze in place, the man tried escaping leaving him half way frozen in the wall. Alyssa readjusted herself, staring down the shell of a man, along with his duo hidden within his shadow.

“Now no one will steal from us, ever again! In~ clu~ ding~ you~  know what’s funny? Do you really want to laugh until you have cramps, until your socks knock off?” The man doubled over scratching his ears, however shadows slithered around his body, his movements became restricted. His tears still fell.

‘What is she, within that room, doing so violently?’ Alyssa thought, forging a clear ice baton. The blizzard started hitting the floor, stamping its hail, announcing its rage.

Alyssa charged again, the baton overhead, swinging down, they rolled forwards into the blizzard, freezing the man solid, yet the shadow forced his arm to slash, wounding alyssa.

Or so it should have.

Alyssa released her baton, grabbed the sword hilt, thrusting it under her arm, pulling them closer. The man became a snowman and thrashed about. She extended her other hand into the  wriggling shadow and froze it.

The world stopped.

The blizzard returned, the snowman didn't move, and the baton finally hit the floor. And yet…

“Hakegihareke,” the voice mocked, “if he asked for double, no, even triple the amount he stole from us, I would gladly give it to him.” Alyssa approached the door, the one reason for all this mess, and opened it.

“Just what did you do, to twist him, the man who hid coppers in floorboards, to blatantly steal from us?” Rivers of tears fell off Lilly's mountain-like cheeks. Her braid red hair swung like a scale, her red eyes, slittled, shook uncontrollably in front of Alyssa. Aiden dangled limply in her arms, his face beaten and most noticeably, a bite mark on his neck.

“A. Whiny. Brat.” Alyssa announced her presence, striding towards Lilly. Lilly turned her head, and dropped Aiden to the floor.

“Ah! Welcome! Oh, if it isn’t the mute Alyssa! My! What do I owe this astonishing pleasure, hehehe,” she said scrunching her face, “although you were not invited to my banquet.” Her face quickly turned to a dreadful frown. “What made you think you can come here, like you own the place?” She said, turning her frown upside down. “Are you here for revenge, for that orphan girl? Kekeke,” her face turning childish. “Or perhaps, even her boyfriend. Sorry he is my doll now.” Now she's serious.

Alyssa walks up, slapped her face, pinning her to the floor with a thud. She then carried Aiden out.

“So that's your answer?! Hahaha that's great! Purely great! Spectacular! Hahaha” She said, lifting herself up.

But no one listened.

Well maybe one person did.

Lilly sighed, and snapped her fingers, defrosting her lovely subordinates.

Nothing changed.

Well, maybe one thing.
