They rush like the wind. They run about letting their wills guide them.

(Lucky bastards.)

This one comes in with the sick, while the other rushes about for his goodwill. 

(Ungrateful brats. Do you even know what you have?)

She carried the sick one upstairs. 

…

(Whatever, I just have to do my job. I shouldn’t think about it.) It floated in front of the stiff corpse, dressed in purple. (Ridiculous monster. You are either in the system or out of it. There is no between.) 

[Hijacking *’+#:@ - Please wait, Administrator.] The tool said obnoxiously. (Just do your job.)

[Task completed. Essence extracted.] A green liquid floated before the screen. [Digitizing… Completed. Thank you for waiting.] That liquid disappeared from reality. 

Alyssa walks downstairs, noting that weird black feathery corpse, dressed in purple, its eyes whirling with darkness; an entrance to the abyss, returned from being a popsicle. 

“So it is,” Alyssa said, dragging the stiff corpse into that black room, closing the door. “Everyone is safe.”

It teleported in front of a resting redhead. Floating above a pale forehead, plastered with red hair, a target sign appeared on him, and a small bead of blood presented itself. A pale drop of blood compared to his purple and blue cheeks, stained with red streaks. [A good job done.]

(Request complete. Thank you, Administrator.) That repetitive tone sounds out again. [It shouldn’t bother talking but whatever.] The system fades out of existence. 

A white jade bead shattered and tippy-toed onto the black jeweled stage, bowing before its performance. 

A new creature formed in the forest.

A white snake leaping off a branch. 

An unprepared doctor opens the door, nothing in hand. A freckled girl followed after. A five minute examination just to confirm bedrest is the best medicine. They left quietly like a robber. 

 

3 days later-

The system quietly watches over Aiden, as per the work contract. His cheeks possessed a rosey peach color, blood didn't crack on his skin. Betty was hammering away on a steel chunk, practicing her hammer swings. “Good morning, Aiden. It’s good to see you so healthy,” Betty said looking down at the anvil, making sure not to slam the hammer on her fingers. 

The system stares at Aiden, and Aiden glares at the system.

(Why are you so rude to your elders,) the system writes. (Greet me also, at least nod your head, you won’t be here without me.)

“Yeah morning,'' Aiden said, looking around the shop, noticing the cleaned out walls. The plain white shyed and curled up under the light gaze from Aiden. “What happened to the swords?” Aiden asked.

“I send them towards the military. Masters orders. A few days ago,” Betty said, still hammering away. She brought her elbow slightly above her shoulder, and quickly brought down the hammer. 

The system went in front Aidens face trying to get his attention, (fine I’ll forgive you-) Aiden flick his wrist, sending it flying.

“Thanks for saving me and getting Alyss’ help.” Betty stopped swinging her hammer; the system immediately reappeared in front of Aiden. (There’s no reason for such blatant disrespect!)

“But what did I do? I only cried…” Betty said. (What did I do for you to treat me like this?!) the system wrote.

“But you being there is already a large help.” Aiden responded. 

“Is that really all?” Betty said, closing her eyes. (Is my existence really that pathetic for you?)  Aiden once again flicked his wrist and once again the system went flying.

“I don’t blame you, I blame someone else.”

“...” Betty went into a dead silence. (I’m just doing my job! Why are you so annoyed?) Once again, Aiden started performing a dance with his wrist sending small winds here and there trying to blow away the system, but the system kept teleporting to dodge. Eventually it got hit.

“Please leave me alone, Aiden.” (Fine good riddance,) the system wrote, disappearing (I quit!). 

“Fine cya.”

“Yeah see you.”
